Chapter 7 Going to junior high school
In 1998, I was supposed to go to junior high school.
My father asked me for my opinion on whether to go to the middle school in the district, but in the end he respected my choice, conformed to the country's policy, and went directly to the town to go to junior high school without taking the entrance exam.
The reason is: my grades in the town should be good, I will be more confident in my studies, if I go to a better school, I may die under the pen of many masters, the pressure is too great.
After graduating from elementary school, I had no homework and felt empty all of a sudden.
I helped my mother do laundry and cook every day, watched cartoons at 6 o'clock in the afternoon, and occasionally my father would take me to the bookstore to read a book, and sometimes he would buy a copy. My favorite thing is to go to the town with my mom to catch the market, because I can go and play with Qinqin.
It was also a market day, and I urged my mother to go out early in the morning, and my mother knew my thoughts and followed me.
"Why did you come so late?" Qin Qin and pestle at the door of the house, when he saw me, he said this.
"Hee-hee, it's early, it's not too late." I stepped forward and took her hand.
"Xiaoxiao, I want to take the middle school in the district, I don't want to go to junior high school in the town." Qinqin told me carefully.
"Then take the test, you can pass it." I put on a smiley face.
We knew that the two of us couldn't go to school together again.
"Xiaoxiao, do you remember that Mingyu in elementary school?" Qin Qin asked as she moved out of her treasure chest. Every time we were together, we would play with the contents of the treasure chest and put them away, and we would never get tired of it.
"Remember, he's supposed to be in high school." I replied lightly.
"You don't know, Brother Mingyu is so handsome, although he takes the lead in making trouble at school every day, his academic performance is very good, and the teacher turns a blind eye to him. When he was in junior high school, I saw him fight, and a group of people gathered around to watch him fight against others...... It's so handsome! ”
"Handsome?" Looking at Qinqin's nymphomaniac, I didn't know what to say for a while.
That day, Qinqin told me a lot of things about Mingyu.
Mingyu's parents are both cadres, but his parents divorced when he was in elementary school, so he left the big city where his father lived and came to his grandfather's house, and he also studied in our village primary school. Maybe it's because of his family, he has always liked to fight, and he has accepted a lot of younger brothers, but his grades have always been top-notch. Originally, his father arranged for him to go back to the city to study in high school, but he insisted on taking the key exam in the district.
Qinqin also told me that she was admitted to the middle school in the district just to be close to Mingyu and to go to him often.
Twelve-year-old girl, what are you thinking......
I'm only messy in the wind.
Later, Qinqin really went to the district to go to junior high school.
We saw each other even less, sometimes she stayed at school on weekends and didn't go back to town, and sometimes I wondered if she had forgotten about me because she had some other good friends.
Junior high school is popular, but entering the school also requires class, based on the results of the placement test for entering the school. Although I graduated from a rural primary school, I entered the top class with the top 20 grades in my grade. At that time, there were three in the top class, and I was in the first class, and my grade was fifth in the class, so I calculated that I should be in the top 20 in my grade at that time.
Getting a good score in the first exam gave me a lot of confidence, and I always felt that I graduated from a rural primary school, and my studies were definitely not as good as those in the primary school in the town, but the truth was not what I thought.
I have never been exposed to English in primary school, and I have English classes in junior high school, starting from the pronunciation of letters, starting from independent words, I think it is so difficult, until the phonetic transcription is fully mastered, I found that the phonetic transcription is the same as Hanyu Pinyin. It was like an epiphany, and since then English has been my strong point.
The English teacher set up an English corner for our class, and every week on Friday afternoons, I did well, and the teachers thought that I would be an excellent English teacher in the future.
Mathematics has always been my weakness, especially geometry, and my brain may be missing a string to close the Pythagorean theorem.
Strange to say, though, I'm pretty good at physics. I distinctly remember that there was only one person who passed the first exam, and that was me, and I scored 88 points. Since then, I have felt that physics is simply too easy, but I have never scored a perfect score.
I didn't like PE class the most, and there were a lot of girls who didn't like it either, so we used to take periods off as soon as we had PE class and stand by and watch. Of course, it's best when it's rainy, so we don't have to go outside, but have a lesson in the classroom. As for sports, high jump, long jump, hill rush, 100-meter ...... There was no one I didn't fall behind, only 800 meters I could pass, I had good stamina, and I could run at a constant pace.
There is a female teacher in the school who is the focus of everyone's visit in the corridor between classes, because she changes her clothes every day, and she wears pants in the morning and skirts in the afternoon, I don't know who the first discoverer is, but the whole school knows about it.
The cafeteria of our school is relatively simple, there is no cafeteria, only a place to eat, some students take it back to the classroom to eat after queuing up for dinner, and some stand directly in the open space in twos and threes, except for wearing school uniforms, others are similar to migrant workers. It is indeed not easy to be a student.
