Xuan Chu was unconvinced: "Uh, Master, like you say, don't pick up the white gold in the sky, isn't it a fool?" Do you still think I'm going to fix how I can survive if I don't want to, eating and drinking are all problems, I don't believe that he doesn't pick up gold anymore, so what happened to him in the end with this Zhao Sheng? ”

Lu Dongbin smiled: "Zhao Sheng thought: "I am a monk, what is the use of this gold?" Besides, if it is useless, how can you covet the gift of heaven? And he covered the mountain with earth. Packed up the firewood and left. ”

Zhao Sheng was completely unafraid, and said to the tiger: "I, Zhao Sheng, have not done anything unintentional in my life, and now I have abandoned my family and entered the Tao, thousands of miles away, to find the Master, and seek the road to immortality." If you owe you a debt in the past life, you should be chewed on in this life, and you should not dare to avoid it; If not, you can go quickly, Hugh is annoying here. When the three tigers heard this, they all bowed their heads and left. Zhao Sheng said: "This must be sent by the mountain god to test me." Death and life are fate, why should I be afraid! "When I returned with firewood that day, I didn't tell my peers about knowing gold and meeting tigers."

Lu Dongbin said with a smile: "The fifth test: pay for the silk without hesitation, and if you are falsely accused, the real person will pay Zhao Sheng to buy ten silk horses in the market." After Zhao Sheng bought it, he took the silk back to the mountain. Halfway through, I suddenly heard someone shouting behind me: "Slow down the silk robber!" When Zhao Sheng looked back, it was the owner of the silk seller, who rushed over, grabbed Zhao Sheng, and said: "You don't give me any money to buy silk, return the silk to me quickly, and everything is over!" ”

Zhao Sheng didn't argue, but read: "This silk is an item that my master wants to use, if you return him, how can I reply to my master?" So he took off his mink fur and gave him the price of the silk. The owner of the silk seller was too little, and he took off his brocade jacket with him, and the owner of the silk seller left. Zhao Sheng held a silk to present a real person.

The real person asked, "Where are the clothes on your body?" Zhao replied: "Occasionally, I was sick and feverish, and I never wore it." The real person sighed: "It's really difficult to be stingy with your own wealth and not talk about people's lives." ”

Chu Chu said, "What about the fourth? What else can be tested? ”

Lu Dongbin said with a smile: "The sixth test: Saving money, Zhao Sheng and his peers harvested grain in the field, and suddenly saw a person on the side of the road, kowtowing and begging for food, his clothes were tattered, his feet were rotten, and he couldn't walk. Everyone of his generation covered their noses and drank him. Zhao Sheng couldn't bear it in his heart, so he helped him sit in the hut and asked him about his suffering. Save some of your own food for him. He boiled a bucket of hot water and washed away the filth. Zhao Sheng untied his robe, took off his underwear, and shielded him from the cold. At night, I was worried that he would be alone, so I was my companion. During the day, he saved his own food to feed him, and he often lived half starved; Take care of it at night. For more than ten days, there was no fatigue. The man's sores were getting better, and he suddenly went away without resigning. Zhao Sheng also had no complaints. Later generations have poems to praise and say: When people are in trouble, they must be benevolent, and they are villains when they hope to repay. Don't hesitate to give benevolence and don't hope to repay, and divide the spring tomorrow.??"

Zhong Liquan said with a smile: "The seventh test: the real person who sacrificed his life to follow the teacher will gather all the disciples in one day and climb to the top of the Heavenly Pillar Peak together. The real person asked the disciples to look down at the peak, there was a peach tree, a stone wall, and an unfathomable abyss. The peach tree bore many peaches, and they were lovely red. The real person said to everyone, "If someone can pick a peach, I will tell him the secret of cultivation." ”

At that time, all the disciples, except for Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng, were standing on the edge of the cliff sweating profusely, and they couldn't even stand on their feet. Only Zhao Sheng stood out, saw the place of the peach tree, and jumped down. This jump just crosses the peach tree and picks the peaches at will. From afar, there was no way to climb the stone wall, so he threw the peaches he had picked upwards. The real person took them one by one with his hands. After the real person took the peach, he ate one, Wang Chang ate one, and left one for Zhao Sheng, which happened to be two hundred and thirty-four. Assign one to each of the disciples, no more, no less.

The real person asked: "Which of the disciples has the ability to guide Zhao Sheng?" The disciples looked at each other. The real person came to the rock, stretched out an arm, and led Zhao Sheng. That arm suddenly grew two or three feet until Zhao Sheng's side. Zhao Sheng walked up with his arm, and all the disciples were shocked. The real person smiled and said, "I also want to jump down today to see if I can pick a big peach." All the disciples advised them not to go. Only Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng were silent. The real man did not listen to the advice of the crowd and jumped down.

Everyone hurried to look at the peach tree below, but there was no trace of the real person; Looking down again, there is no bottom, and there is no road to pass. Seeing the real person falling into the deep valley, I don't know whether to live or die. Zhao said to Wang Chang, "Master, it's like our father. Now that Master has jumped off a cliff and does not know whether he is alive or dead, how can I have peace of mind? It's better to jump down together and see the whereabouts of Master. So the two of them threw themselves down, just before the real people. I saw the real people sitting on the rock, and when they saw them falling, they laughed and said, "I expect that you and you will come." So he passed on the secret of the Great Dao.

Zhong Liquan said with a smile: "At the end of the period, the group of immortals will be from the end, Tianle will support the guide, and the real person will be in Heming Mountain with Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng, and the sun will ascend to heaven during the day." The true Fa is hard to find, but you have sincerity. ”

Lu Dongbin smiled: "Cultivation is very difficult. Both the Dharma and the Wealth and the Land must be possessed, and this requires great blessings. Among them, the "Fa" is the most difficult to find. The true Fa is hard to come by, smells bad, hard to find, and requires great chance. The so-called "Rao Jun is smart and sensitive to Yan Min, and he does not meet the Master Mo Qiangchai". However, he also said that although the Fa is difficult to find, as long as we are sincere and unswerving, we still have a chance to seek it. But now many people flaunt how sincere they are, and they speak with lotus flowers in their mouths, but they don't take the slightest action. ”

"Actually, sometimes by looking at what others say, you can know what kind of people they are, and you can understand their hearts. There is no one who comes to seek the Dharma without going through tribulations. What is the expression of sincerity? Is it just a few fluttering words? This so-called "sincerity" cannot stand up to a casual attempt. ”

Sincerity is silently expressed by one's own actions. I hope that those who seek the Dharma will let go of their ego and seek the Dharma honestly. Only in this way, there may still be something to do, otherwise, even if you pursue it all your life, it will only be a waste of your time, and you still have no chance with the avenue. Through this story, we can understand the sincerity of the ancients in seeking the Tao, the correct belief in the Master, and the difficulty of attaining the Tao from one side.
