Chapter 390: Call Uncle Shi

Xiao Tianshu blushed and said, "Master Zu, it's not usual, they all call me apprentice, why do you suddenly call me an apprentice!" Isn't that right? With my current generation, it's normal to be your grandson. Just ......"

Chu Chu said proudly, "Just what? What cultivator doesn't call me Master! It would be nice if you could meet a real person, what else do you want? There are many people in the world who want to see my master, they haven't had this kind of opportunity to meet, you have such a fate, fate is already an honor, the ancestor burned high incense, you are still not satisfied, do you still want to be an apprentice? I still don't want to, respect my master! ”

Xiao Tianshu said, "You girl, what are you talking about!" How can I not respect Master Zu, you are just sowing discord, I don't mean that at all, I am talking ......"

Yi Chu didn't give Xiao Tianshu a chance to refute at all, and said, "What's wrong with you, what else do you want to say!" Do you call me aunt, what is the girl, is the girl you called? ”

Xiao Tianshu smiled and said, "Hahaha, if you want to call it, you will be called uncle, how can you be called aunt, besides, I don't call you uncle......"

Chu Chu said, "Really? Master, isn't that so? ”

Xiao Tianshu said with a smile: "Western countries generally believe that Buddhism originated in India, and India is actually trying to create the image of a "Buddhist holy land". Buddhism is also one of the three major religions in the world. There are four and seven congregations of Buddhists. The four congregations refer to the bhikshus, bhikshunis, upasaks, and upasas, and the seven congregations add novices, novice nuns, and shiksharmani to the four congregations. These seven names are all transliterated into Sanskrit and are the most important and most commonly used written titles in Buddhism. In addition, there are shamans, monks, nuns, sanghanas, heads, practitioners, su, laymen, white-clothed, and lay people. Monks are also known as Heshang, Lisheng, etc., which means "pro-teacher" or the meaning of the master. Originally, it referred to the name of the monk to the abbot and other elders of the monastery, or the name of the ordained person to the ordination master. Later, it was vulgarized to refer to male monks in general. Nuns are the common name for female monks in Han China. ”

Xuan Chu said, "What does this have to do with my uncle, and the first sentence when Buddhist disciples meet is "Amitabha", which will also be said to be "Nan no Amitabha", these six words are also called the "six-character Hongming" of the Pure Land Sect of Buddhism, what does "Nan no Amitabha Buddha" mean? ”

Xiao Tianshu said with a smile, "It's a big deal, religion is almost a kind of title, regardless of the meaning of the six-character Hongming of men and women, Nanwu - conversion, acceptance; Ah – immeasurable light (health); Mi – immeasurable awareness (wisdom); Tuo – Amitayus (longevity); Buddha – the message of immeasurable light, immeasurable enlightenment, and immeasurable longevity. In China, Taoism is the true local religion, and it has a very long history. The main purpose is to pursue immortality, become immortals, and help the world and save people. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period, the school of Taoism appeared, and its quiet inaction and Taoism have always had a profound impact on later generations. Later, the monks who appeared in the Warring States period began to pay attention to alchemy and medicine, which is considered to be the beginning of Taoist priests, and it is the earliest chemistry in Chinese history. ”

He also said, "Speaking of Taoist priests, everyone should not be too unfamiliar, such as Wang Chongyang and Qiu Chuji, famous figures in Jin Yong's martial arts, are all Taoists." And among the Taoist priests, there are also men and women, and the male ones are called Taoist chiefs, so what are female Taoist priests called? Female Taoist priests are not called Taoists, in Taoism, men are called Gandao, and women are called Kundao. Outside the church, most of the people call her Daogu. How do you call a Taoist priest when you see it? Generally called the Taoist chief, Taoist men and women are equal in ancient times, only men were allowed to wear crowns, so Kun Dao can also be called female crowns. ”

Chu Chu said, "What does the poor way mean? ”

Xiao Tianshu said that "poor Tao" is the Taoist priest's self-proclaimed humble words, people who learn the Tao are not afraid of poverty, but regard hard cultivation as the biggest goal of life, and only in this way can they subdue the demons in their hearts and quit thinking about Huaxiang, so Taoist priests should call themselves poor Taoists to warn themselves at all times. Another explanation is that the Taoist priest calls himself "poor Tao" because he has not yet studied the principles of righteousness and has not yet understood it thoroughly, which is of course also a humble title. Taoist priests usually refer to each other as Taoist chief, Taoist friend, Taoist brother, etc., and these titles are unisexual, and people outside Taoism can also call them in the same way. The Taoist priests themselves also have honorific titles according to the level of cultivation, and the Taoist priests in the Ten Directions Jungle will also call each other according to their positions in the Taoist temple. ”

Lu Dongbin said with a smile, "Those who see through the red dust will be enlightened, and will eventually choose to become a monk, or escape into Buddhism, or be called a cultivator." Great compassion, selflessness and desirelessness, great love, and great affection. When a monk sees through the red dust, he is not pessimistic and misanthropic, but he leaves behind the red dust and selfish thoughts, and devotes himself to the Buddha and purifies all sentient beings. Stay away from the red dust, away from the bustling city of the lights, wine and greenery, so as to hold on to peace of mind. Pursue the fullness of the soul. ”

The purpose of Jingmingdao is "Pure Ming, Loyalty and Filial Piety", Liu Yu explained, "What is Purity? non-staining; What is Ming? non-touching; Do not stain or touch, loyalty and filial piety from "" . He also said, "Pure Ming is only sincerity, loyalty and filial piety are just to support Gangchang", "The heart is pure and clear, and the system is valued in loyalty and filial piety." Here, the Pure Enlightenment Path regards "filial piety" as the inner state that a cultivator should achieve. The way of cultivating "pure and clear" is to teach people to be pure in heart and have few desires, to be honest and sincere, not to be moved by the desire for profit, not to be greedy, not to be narrow-minded, not to be angry, and to be vast and clear. At the same time of cultivating the mind, it is necessary to practice, that is, to be loyal and filial, not only to be loyal to the monarch and filial piety, but also to expand the behavior of loyalty and filial piety. ”

…!

Xiao Tianshu said: "Under the influence of the market economy, the relationship between people is maintained by money on many occasions. It is in the family that some people completely disregard family affection for the sake of money, which leads to the ugly phenomenon of children and grandchildren disrespecting their elders, parents abandoning or even persecuting their children, and so on. Although we have been advocating a good atmosphere of honoring our parents and loving our children, our results are not ideal because such preaching is not very restrictive, and more importantly, because secular morality lacks sacredness and deterrence. ”

On the other hand, the Taoist idea of filial piety is different from ordinary empty preaching, because it is linked to people's daily life, especially combined with people's universal wishes. It is foreseeable that this traditional virtue will continue to flow on to future generations. And this idea of filial piety is an indispensable factor in family harmony.

Lu Dongbin said with a smile, "In ancient China, Confucianism emphasized the first status of men and respected men, which is reflected in the ethics of childbirth, and there is an obvious tendency to favor sons over women, and men are inferior to women.
