He also borrowed the deeds of Zilai, vividly described this kind of safe mentality: when Zilai was critically ill, his wife wept, Zili went to see him, he said to Zili, nature gave me a body, with "life" to teach me diligence, with "old" to give me comfort, with "death" to give me rest, if "life" is regarded as a kind of "goodness", then "death" should also be a kind of "goodness", people born on the earth, if they can face life happily, peacefully, hard, work hard, ask for nothing, good at health, to old age and decay, will have no regretsWith a relaxed and peaceful attitude, he calmly faces the arrival of death, and regards death as a natural return to life. ”

Xiao Tianshu said: "In short, Zhuangzi aims to fill the gap between life and death, erase the boundary between life and death in people's hearts, and help people thoroughly understand the essence of death through the way of life and death, so that people are not afraid of death, but face death and step towards death with a calm, calm, and even joyful attitude." The reason why Taoism and Taoism have such an open-minded mind is that they look at life and death from the height of "Tao". "Zhuangzi" cloud: "The husband carries me in shape, works me to live, I am old, and I am dead." Therefore he who is good to my life is therefore good to die. He believes that human life comes from vitality and returns to vitality after death, and life and death are just a change in nature, just like the change of the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. We don't weep bitterly over the change of seasons, so why weep over "death"?"

Nian Fu said: "This is true, "Zhuangzi Zhile" contains: "Zhuangzi's wife died, Huizi hung him, and Zhuangzi sang with a drum." Huizi said: 'Living with people, the eldest son is old, it is enough not to cry when he dies, and he sings with a drum, and it is not even worse!' Zhuangzi said, 'No. It is the beginning and the death, how can I be without generality! Observe its beginning and have no life, not in vain and formless, and not in vain and formless. Mixed between the mang, change and gas, gas change and form, change and life, now and change and die, is the phase and for the spring, autumn, winter and summer four seasons also. People slept in the huge room, and I cried casually, thinking that I couldn't get through my life, so I stopped. In the face of Hui Shi's accusation, Zhuangzi replied: "Actually, when my wife just died, I was so sad that I wept!" Just think about it, the wife was originally lifeless; Not only is there no life, but there is also no body; Not only is there no body, but there is also no breath. In the moment when there is no trance, the most primitive thing is changed to produce breath, and through change to produce form, and through change to produce life. Now it is death, and there is no life. This kind of change is like the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Now she rests quietly between heaven and earth, and I still have to cry and cry, isn't it too inaccessible? So I stopped crying. ”

In short, Taoism believes that only by jumping out of the limits of personal life and death, and looking at the issue of human life and death from the height of the "Tao" of the Creator, can we transcend life and death. Otherwise, you will be tired and troubled when you are "born" and panic when you "die". This is because if we are obsessed with the acquisition, enjoyment, and happiness of the little "me" life, we will inevitably fall into the pain of the little "me" such as loss and disaster, and then regard "death" as a purely self-conscious thing, and thus produce anxiety, sorrow, fear, and other psychology for it.

Do not rejoice in "life", do not grieve in "death", so that life and death are one in creation. In other words, they want people to get rid of the determination of individual life and death from the perspective of the individual, and to look at the continuity and cycle of life and death from the standpoint of the Tao, so as to realize the transcendent realm of no birth and no death, and the unity of life and death. Taoism is a religion that values people and pursues the realization of the value of life itself, and its ultimate ideal is to expand the true nature of human beings and become immortals. Taoism adheres to the profound wisdom of Taoism of natural non-action and non-pursuit of external objects, emphasizing the natural characteristics of human beings. Taoism believes that in the process of blindly pursuing material enjoyment, people in reality have gone astray and have forgotten their true value and no longer seek the true purpose and meaning of life. ”

Nian Fu said: "Therefore, they persuade people to return to their simplicity and live a life that conforms to nature, is simple and true, and is tranquil and indifferent, and becomes a "real person" in the true sense." The so-called "real people" are immortals who continue to refine their lives and preserve their nature to achieve enlightenment, and they "do not damage the Tao with their hearts, and do not help the heavens with people", so Taoism and Taoism attach great importance to the exploration of human life issues, among which the issue of life and death is their primary concern. ”
