Chapter 775: Skull Dream
Xuan Chu, when he saw these two immortals, he obviously had a ceramic wine jug when he was drinking, but he didn't pour wine from the wine jug. Instead, he poured wine from a gourd on the side.
The discovery of this gourd is also due to the fact that they just talked about the gourd!
Xuan Chu said: "May I ask the two immortals, what kind of medicine is sold in this gourd?" Uh, hehe, I mean, what kind of wine is the gourd in? ”
The young man in white smiled and said, "Hehe, does Her Royal Highness Princess Zichen also want to taste this wine?" ”
Xuan Chu thought to himself, the scene of a fairyland, but it was also a strange place, and those people were also strangers, how could they drink their wine at will? What if you drink their wine, so you get dizzy? It's better to be cautious.
Xuan Chu said: "Hehe, I, if I accidentally drink alcohol, I won't drink it first, save you from drinking, hehe......"
The young man in white smiled and said, "Hehe, princess, then we're welcome, if you're greedy, you might as well try a cup, this is a fairy brew......"
Yi Chu was so frightened that he didn't dare to say that his saliva was about to flow out!
"Hehe, forget it, you're still going to talk about the story of your dreams, right?"
The young man in white smiled and said, "Okay, tell me another story, like the oak dream, the skeleton dream is not a real dream, but a fable, with the help of this dream, Zhuangzi discussed the question of life and death." This dream, which is contained in the Blissful Chapter, says that Zhuangzi saw a skeleton in the wilderness, beat the skeleton with a horse, and asked how it died, was it too much enjoyment? Or was there a disaster to be killed? Or died because of misbehavior and shame on his family? Or died of cold? Or maybe for no reason, just because of old age? Zhuangzi asked these questions, pulled the skeleton as a pillow and fell asleep. ”
Xuan Chu said: "Oh my God, this man is so bold that he uses a skeleton as a pillow? ”
The white-clothed young man smiled: "At night, the skeleton dreamed of Zhuangzi, saying that his questioning involved all the encounters that only living people have, and in the world of death, these troubles do not exist. The skeleton told Zhuangzi that the world of death is a world of freedom, without the social constraints brought about by the relationship between kings and ministers, and there are no natural constraints brought about by the passage of time, and such freedom is really the greatest happiness. Zhuangzi did not believe it, and expressed his willingness to help the skeleton return to the world, but the skeleton refused, and it frowned and said, "Wu'an can abandon the king of the south and return to the labor of the world!" ”
The fairy in red said: "The question of life and death discussed in the skull dream is also a topic that recurs in Zhuangzi, the story of the great master's son coming to death and the death of Zi Sanghu involves this topic, and the story of the death of Zhuangzi's wife and singing in the Zhile chapter also involves this issue. The question of life and death is the most important issue for Zhuangzi, and the core of this question is actually to ask about the meaning of life. Generally speaking, Zhuangzi shows an open-minded attitude towards life and death, which is actually an open-minded attitude towards life, which is what the skull dream reveals. Therefore, this dream is actually a vehicle for Zhuangzi to discuss the issue of life and death. ”
The young man in white said with a smile: "Turtle Dream: Song Yuanjun dreamed of being peeped at in the middle of the night, and said: "Give it to the abyss of the road, give it to the Qingjiang River, and give it to the fisherman." Yuan Junjue made people occupy it, and said: "This turtle is also." The king said: "Do you have more fishermen?" Left and right: "Yes." Jun said: "Ling Yu and Yu Dynasty." "Tomorrow, Yu and Chao. Jun said: "How can you fish? He said, "And the net is a white tortoise, and its circle is five feet." Jun said: "The turtle of dedication." "Turtle Zhi, you want to kill it again, and then you want to live. Suspicious, Bu Zhi, said: "Kill the turtle to Bu, Ji." "It's a turtle, seventy-two diamonds and no last resort.
Zhong Ni said: "The turtle can see the dream of Yuanjun, but cannot avoid the net of Yu He; Knowing that you can drill seventy-two drills and have no last resort, you can't avoid the trouble of the intestines. If so, then there is something to know, and there is something out of God's reach. ”
The fairy in red said: "The dream of the turtle was originally to ask for help, but in the end, it was taken by Song Yuanjun and used the turtle shell for divination, and finally died. If there is no commentary from the mouth of Confucius after this dream, the dream of the turtle in "Foreign Objects" is just a record of an old dream, but the comment made through the mouth of Confucius makes the meaning of this dream go beyond the dream. Confucius said that the turtle can dream of the Yuanjun, but it cannot escape the fisherman's net; Its shell can be used for 72 times and all of them are effective, but it cannot escape the death of cutting the intestines and taking the shell, Confucius's conclusion is: "If so, then there is something to know, and there is something to be lost to God." Because of Confucius's comments, the dream of the turtle is no longer simple, but has become the basis for Zhuangzi to ask what true knowledge is. Sure enough, after the dream of the turtle, there is a large section on "knowing", discussing how to "go to the small to know and the big to know". In the context of the Turtle Dream, the confrontation between the small knowledge and the great knowledge is to go beyond the "knowledge" of the turtle dream and the "knowledge" of divination, to obtain the "great knowledge" to preserve one's own life, and to enjoy the pleasure of life. The comments made through the mouth of Confucius turned this old dream in the form of a dream into an allegory, and Zhuangzi used this fable to discuss the problem of "knowledge". ”
The young man in white said with a smile: "There are 11 places in the Zhuangzi that talk about dreams, and the ones with dream content are butterfly dreams, oak tree dreams, skeleton dreams, Wenwang dreams, turtle dreams, and a Confucian dream that is not mentioned above. Judging from these stories with dreams, none of them are as real as the "Zuo Chuan", so the dreams of these dreams are not actually real dreams, even if some of them may have been recorded, but they are not recorded as dreams. Since Zhuangzi dissolves the reality of dreams, dreams (jue) become metaphors for delusion, and dreams also become scenes of speech in Zhuangzi, playing the role of allegories, which are used by Zhuangzi to discuss different issues.
In Zhuangzi's time, the tradition of Zhan Meng had declined, while reason was growing, and this background enabled Zhuangzi to turn all dreams into scenes and fables, just as the Warring States Policy turned Zhan Meng into "rhetoric". In terms of dissolving the authenticity of dreams, Zhuangzi is no different from the "Warring States Policy", and the peculiarity of Zhuangzi is only that he not only dissolves the reality of dreams, but also creatively turns dreams into a pair of metaphors with profound meanings, which not only affect the expression of later generations, but also shape a far-reaching attitude towards life that "life is like a dream".
Hui Chu said: "Dream life, in the end, is the ...... between dreams and life"
The white-clothed young man said with a smile: "Zhuangzi uses dream as a metaphor to refer to confusion, and confusion and enlightenment refer to life, so the metaphor of dream often refers to the awareness and confusion of the meaning of life, which has been clearly indicated in the "big dream" and "great awakening" of the Great Sage Dream. Judging from the entire "Zhuangzi's discourse", Zhuangzi believes that the essence of life's confusion is to cling to the present/present world, to the utilitarian, thinking that this time is permanent, this place is all, and utilitarianism is everything, and this realistic and utilitarian attitude often traps people. ”
