Chapter 370: Odds
"Are you too kind-hearted to worry about your opponent? Rahu said, finally starting to get serious.
The opponent is Taishang Dao Ancestor, and he can't deal with it easily.
Yue Yao stood on the high platform, condescendingly looking at the ninety outstanding innate realm elites that the Eastern Emperor Jue, the Eastern Emperor Crown, the Eastern Emperor Xiuji, Huang Muyuan, and Huang Muran had found for him, and said: "In fact, it is very easy to cultivate immortals, and if you can do the following three things, you can live a carefree immortal life." ”
"1. 'Keep it simple' to enjoy life. The fundamental thing about life in the world is not to be complicated, but to be simple. Jane is to be 'simple' and 'simple', to grasp the main essence of things. Jane's principle is to think less, be at ease, and be relaxed. ”
"There was a conclusion from the immortals: Taoism makes people single-minded, moving and invisible, and supporting all things. It is easy to make an appointment, and there is more to do less. This may be the most appropriate summary of the spirit of simplicity in Taoism. As a result, simplicity has become an important guiding ideology for doing things. ”
"'The way is not complicated', so that we and others can have a relaxed mood, and there will be no such organs and calculations in mutual interactions, so that we can enjoy life better. As for 'simplicity is beneficial to life', that is to say, only by doing things simple can we be healthy in mind and body. To do things simply, one is to know that there is a share in life, and not to divide what is not, the second is to understand what is not beneficial to life, and the third is to be idle and not tired. As for how to do things simply, the real person put forward the method of 12 less, that is, 'less thinking and less thinking, less laughter and less speech, less joy and less anger, less joy and less sorrow, less good and less evil, less things and less opportunities.' Maintaining these twelve less, that is, keeping the foundation of life's survival. ”
"A simple life begins with the idleness of the mind, abandoning unnecessary entanglements, allowing the mind to fly freely and travel with the Tao. Daily life should also be simple as well, a delicious meal every day is not necessarily beneficial to the body, but may be harmful, as Sima Zhenren said: vegetable food and clothing, enough to nourish life, how can you wait for wine and meat Luo Qi and then give birth to all!"
"On the other hand, it is necessary to 'worship thrift and suppress luxury', which is also the traditional virtue of Taoism. One is kind, the second is thrifty, and the third is not daring to be the first in the world'. The so-called 'frugality' means thrift, which includes the restraint of material pursuits and the suppression of personal greed. Daozu believed that indulging in sensory pleasures such as sound, color, and taste, and being subject to the chains of fame and fortune would not only greatly damage the body, but also hinder the path of enlightenment. Therefore, he advocated 'less selfishness and few desires', being modest and frugal, and abstaining from material desires and personal desires. It is the virtue of thrift to be frugal and not extravagant, to restrain greed, to be willing to be tranquil, and to be morally and temperate. ”
"'Jane' can achieve relaxation and relax people's moods. Less trouble, less melancholy, more happy, more happy, like a cloud. Someone once predicted that for the first time in history, mankind will face a truly eternal problem - how to use the freedom and leisure outside of busyness to live a happy and intelligent life. There are many people who can be busy for years or decades in order to get a luxurious life, but are reluctant to spend a few hours enjoying life. Abandoning material and valuing spirituality, it seems that it is difficult for people to make choices in this materialistic era, and the Taoist idea of immortals can make people find the key to solving their confusion. ”
"With the development of the times, the material life is greatly enriched, people's greed is also expanding rapidly, and there are many corruption phenomena in the world. The reason for this is that the expansion of selfish desires prompts them to rack their brains to compete for fame, fortune, and wealth, and covet glory and wealth, and the end must be tragic. Life is the most precious thing, and once lost, it cannot be regained. If you understand this truth, you will not be affected by the personal desires of voice, lust and wealth, and will naturally be able to eliminate luxury and greed, advocate thrift and abstinence in practice, and agree with the moral requirements such as frugality and honesty from the bottom of your heart, and turn them into your own morality. Therefore, by establishing the value orientation of cherishing life, we can adjust the structure of people's needs, so as to dilute people's excessive greed for their own selfish desires, dilute the ego, and not be burdened by things, so as to achieve peace of mind, realize physical health and spiritual freedom, so that we can best enjoy life and realize the ideal of life on the road of enlightenment. ”
Yue Yao paused, and then continued: "Second, 'Congpu' lives with true love. The essence of 'Pu' is simple and unpretentious, like a baby at the beginning of life. Daomen talks about 'hugging simplicity', which is to remove the acquired hypocrisy, return to the baby, and return to the simple way. That is to say, the learner of the Tao is required to adhere to the simple and unpretentious truth, so that he can be one with the Tao and achieve the perfection of his own personality, and the key to this path of return is 'less selfishness and few desires', that is, the so-called 'seeing plain and embracing simplicity, less selfishness and few desires'. ”
"Some people interpret this as 'relieving one's tiredness and forgetting one's worries,' and it is considered to be the only way to cultivate the Tao. Only by unloading the heavy burden of the soul can we 'exhaust reason'; only by putting aside the disturbances of mundane affairs can we 'exhaust our nature'; and by abandoning our own selfish desires, we can finally 'create the Tao'. The 'embracing simplicity' advocated by Taoism relies on people's cherishing and love for life to be realized. True love life is a kind of wisdom, and ancient Taoism is this inexhaustible source of living water, so that people in the world can arrange their lives more reasonably and in line with the Tao. ”
"'Simplicity and purity are enough to know the sky', and those who know the sky can live with the sky. Maintaining a tranquil, desireless, quiet and simple mind, not excessively pursuing external fame and fortune and glory and wealth, not racking your brains for personal selfish desires, not being disturbed by personal gains and losses, always maintaining a noble sentiment of 'being at peace and getting along with the times', 'being content and always happy', and cultivating a kind of 'no grievances with people and no quarrel with things' is the true meaning of 'returning to simplicity and returning to the truth'. ”
"There is a sentence in the "Sutra" that 'the ancients are evil in their hearts, but not as good as the three emperors of the ancients, the hearts of the people are simple, the mind is single-minded, and each is happy to call the heart of heaven, and the faithful does not deceive it, so there is no text', which is intended to criticize the evil conduct of the world and praise the simplicity of the ancients. Nowadays, when people often sigh that "the world is declining, people's hearts are not ancient", this kind of return to simplicity is especially needed. Return to simplicity, that is, do not destroy nature with man-made things, do not destroy life with artificiality, and do not become a victim of fame because of the greed for fame. ”
"3. 'From and with' to live happily. 'Harmony' is an important concept of Chinese culture. The meaning of 'harmony' is to be passable, the second is to be smooth, the third is to be happy, and the fourth is to be inclusive. The general rule is harmony, and harmony is mutually beneficial. The so-called communication is unobstructed, accessible, the ancients once said: the words of the Tao are clear, and there is no way, and everything is all-encompassing. The natural movement and growth of all things in heaven and earth shows the natural harmony of all things. In the Tao Sutra, it is said that the Tao is righteous with accessibility. The so-called 'Tao is righteous with accessibility', that is, it is necessary to understand both oneself and others. In the real world, people know that when the road is smooth, people are accessible, water is smooth, everything is moisturized, goods are stable, and people's blood is free from disease. In life, the most important thing is that the heart is unhindered, only the heart can reduce the troubles and sorrows, and only by eliminating the troubles and sorrows can the heart be satisfied. In the view of Daomen, the general rule is unhindered, the general rule is harmonious, the general rule is stable, the general rule is peaceful, and the general rule is prosperous. ”
"The so-called shun is to conform to the general trend, that is, to conform to the objective law of the development of things, like water. The 24 solar terms of the four seasons of the year are the natural conditions of heaven and earth, and people should adapt to their changes. It is also natural that you should work during the day and rest at night. The so-called joy is to maintain and create a harmonious mentality and situation, people's mind and body are happy, in order to be refreshed and healthy. Only when there is harmony in the family can there be harmony, and only when children grow up in such an atmosphere can they be happy and develop healthily. The so-called tolerance is to treat others tolerantly, to accommodate different things with a tolerant mind, and to accommodate thousands of rivers and rivers like the sea, and give them vitality. and the above four aspects, which guide the world to live happily. Specifically, it should be promoted from the following three aspects. ”
"First, it should be based on man's own 'harmony'. The world is made up of people, and in order to maintain peace and harmony in the world, people must first maintain their own personal harmony and tranquility. Daomen believes that the troubles and instability of the human heart mainly come from the entanglement of external objects and the excessive desire of greed, which produces troubles and anxieties, jealousy and even hatred, so some people sigh that life is short, and the reason why it is 'bitter short' is because people are entangled in 'troubles'. And 'troubles' actually arise from 'delusion'. ”
In the "Sutra", it is said: If there is a delusional heart, it is shocked. and astonished the gods, that is, all things. Possession of all things is the birth of greed. Covetousness is affliction. Troubled and delusional, anxious mind and body, they will be humiliated, wander in life and death, often sink into the sea of suffering, and never lose the truth. Only when people are quiet and tranquil in their hearts, less selfish and less desired, do nothing and do nothing, remove greed and delusion, self-knowledge but not self-seeing, self-love but not self-esteem, self-confidence but not pride, self-improvement and not self-reliance, and maintain personal inner peace and calm, can life be both full and peaceful, like water, selfless and can adhere to self, establish a belief in harmony and peace in the depths of the soul, so as to improve people's mind and body, maintain harmony, promote harmony, people and people, people and nature live in harmony, and all kinds of life are happy. ”
"Second, we should pursue the harmony between man and the world as a reality. The pursuit of harmony between man and the world requires everyone to be loving, friendly to others, and tolerant of others. Of course, this does not mean giving up on the self, but it requires people to fully understand others. As the saying goes, 'to the Tao, there is no value in things.' There is no distinction between different groups of people, different nationalities, different factions and cultures, and they are completely able to live in harmony, coexist and prosper. To pursue harmony between man and the world, we must first promote family harmony. This is what Daomen emphasizes as 'filial piety to fathers and sons, husbands and women are faithful, and brothers respect and are obedient', so as to achieve 'harmony in the family and harmony in the sky'."
Second, treat others with compassion and integrity. The root of harmony in the world is harmony between people. Getting along with each other should be based on mutual respect, mutual help, and honesty and fraternity. The rich should help the poor, not make the poor poorer; ”
"Through communication, we can not only find the commonalities between each other, so as to firmly believe that there are some core things in the world culture that are universal, and at the same time, people can deeply understand the differences between each other, so as to respect and tolerate others without losing their self, and respect others' lifestyles and concepts. ”
"Third, harmony between man and nature should be the highest pursuit. Man and nature are a harmonious and unified whole, and only by ensuring the natural peace of heaven and earth can people achieve long-term peace. Therefore, in order to pursue harmony in the world, people must also establish a correct attitude towards nature. Daomen believes that all things in heaven and earth originate from the 'Tao', and 'everything that is tangible contains the Tao nature'. All things have the right to develop naturally according to the nature given to them by the Tao, and people should respect the right to live in nature and not trample on nature or destroy nature at will. ”
"Man should 'be in harmony with heaven and earth', benefit all things without harming them, and aim to promote greater harmony and perfection in the Three Realms, rather than stifling the vitality of the Three Realms by destroying all kinds of natural objects. The "Sutra" teaches people that to 'supplement the nature of all things and dare not do anything' is to conform to the natural nature of the growth and change process of all things in the world, not to destroy the original appearance of this process in an artificial coercive way, to guide according to the situation, and to do nothing without doing anything. ”
