(14) Cultivating the body

The kitchen behind the main building is a separate building, connected to the main building. Yuhan couldn't see the burning kitchen where he was sitting now, he could only see smoke coming out of the front door of the house, and even bigger black smoke rushed into the sky from the back of the house, and the shadows of the fire were reflected in the plane trees on both sides.

Time passed minute by minute, and Yuhan stared nervously at the front door of the house. I don't know how long it took, and she was slightly relieved when she saw James pulling Mother Song out of the door.

Mother Song had a towel in her hand and was about to go back to the house, but James pulled her. At the stall where the two were arguing, a dull rattle came from outside the yard, jingle bellsโ€”โ€”, the sound of jingling bells from far and near, it was the arrival of a fire engine.

Two fire trucks painted bright red came, as well as a car from the fire station. The firefighters rushed to the back of the house with a water truck, and several people began to shake the wrench up and down to press the water, and the water jet sprayed straight from the pipe to the back kitchen, and the water vapor and smoke intertwined and rose into the dark sky.

A chief got out of the car and ran a few steps to James, "Mr. James, I am the chief of the fire department of this district, and my surname is Pan, and my full name is Pan Yunshi. You retreat to a safe position, and we'll leave it to you. โ€

James nodded at him, "Then it's going to trouble Director Pan." โ€

"No trouble, no trouble. We received a call and rushed over without a moment's delay. The chubby face of Director Pan was full of laugh lines, patted his chest and said: "Don't worry, I will go out personally, this fire is guaranteed to be extinguished in a while, and no sparks can be left behind." โ€

James nodded, turned around and walked to a position not far from Lin Yuhan to stand still.

Director Pan commanded the firefighters to work hard to put out the fire, but his eyes looked at the house, the entire yard, and the people in the yard, he glanced at Yuhan who was sitting in the distance, and guessed her identity in his heart.

Uncle Feng came back after sending Dr. Yang back, and was taken aback by this scene.

The flames were extinguished, and the smoke was still rising. Director Pan instructed the firefighters to go into the back kitchen to inspect carefully, and his voice was particularly loud, shouting hard to command his subordinates.

James explained a few words to Uncle Feng and Mother Song, then turned to Yuhan and said, "You can't stay here tonight, let's go." โ€

Yuhan was already feverish, and after experiencing such a fright, his brain was a little dizzy and couldn't react.

Seeing that she didn't react, James frowned and said, "Can I go?" โ€

Yuhan came back to his senses, thinking that he seemed to be being carried downstairs by him just now, he couldn't help blushing, and hurriedly said, "I can go, I can go." โ€

Yuhan followed James to the car parked outside the courtyard, and James opened the car door and motioned for her to get into the car. Yuhan sat in the car obediently, not daring to say more, his mind was still immersed in the embarrassment just now. James sat down in the driver's seat by himself, started the car, and the lights turned on, illuminating the dark road, and the car slowly moved along the light.

The two were speechless all the way, and only the sound of the motor turning could be heard in the car.

It was late at night, and there were basically no people on the road, and there were sporadic drivers pulling rickshaws in a hurry. When Yuhan was a little drowsy, there were a few more street lamps on both sides of the road, and the car was already parked in front of the Chinachem Hotel.

The doorman of the hotel was napping against the corner of the wall, and was awakened by the sound of the car, so he hurriedly ran over and pulled the car door, and when James got out of the car, the doorman trotted to Yuhan to open the door.

Yuhan was wearing a nightgown and a sheet wrapped outside, and she looked out of place at the gate of such a brilliant and magnificent hotel, and what was even funnier was that the doorman opened the car door for her intimately, and when she got out of the car, the picture was very embarrassing. She couldn't move, and she couldn't move there, and she couldn't wait to find a crack in the ground to get into.

James walked over, handed the car key to the doorman, motioned for him to park, then bent down to block the door on Yuhan's side, and bowed his head to her, "Come down!" โ€

Yuhan frowned resignedly, then pulled the sheet up to cover half of his face before slowly moving out of the car. The two walked into the hotel lobby, and Yuhan was dragged and swept the floor by a single person, with a peculiar painting style.

Late at night, there were no guests in the lobby of the Chinachem Hotel, only two waiters stood behind the counter in a regular manner, bowed when they saw them enter, and then opened their mouths slightly in astonishment. One of them came to his senses, trotted over and handed James the key to his room, then turned his face away with a strange expression and pretended to be busy with other things, not daring to look at them again.

Yuhan turned a pair of eyes that were exposed outside the sheets, and suddenly realized that no one knew her here Lin Yuhan, but they all knew James, and he was ashamed to be embarrassed. She peeked at James, who had a calm expression and couldn't see any embarrassment. Also, he has always been unable to see any expression, and he may be very embarrassed. Thinking about it like this, she seemed to be in a much better mood.

Yuhan took revenge on him so powerlessly.

Yuhan has come to this hotel twice before, and he took the stairs with a weak heart, and today is the first time to take the elevator. The elevator creaked and carried the two to the sixth floor, and with a clanging sound, the elevator attendant lowered his eyes and opened the elevator fence door for them, not daring to look up more, and his tense face was probably holding back a smile.

James, however, did not seem to notice it in the slightest, calmly took out the key, and opened the door of the presidential suite.

It's still this room, the scene that happened a few days ago seems to be a long time ago, and the heartache that drips blood doesn't seem to hurt so much now. Yuhan shook her head vigorously, reminding herself not to be cranky, she seemed to have a fever to the point of delirium.

Entering the room, James pointed to a screen door inside and said, "This is the bedroom, you will sleep here tonight." With that, he walked over to the desk and sat down, spread out the pile of papers, and ignored her.

Yuhan pushed open the screen door, and in front of him was a very luxurious and elegant European-style bed, with layers of gold-rimmed curtains around the bed rails, smooth satin sheets, and soft pillows like bread. She was really tired, the bed was surprisingly soft, so she couldn't help but curl up in it, and her whole body was immediately surrounded by soft warmth, which was very comfortable, and sleepiness came over her, making her unable to resist and falling asleep.

James glanced at the clock, got up and sorted out the papers on the table, and gently pushed the screen door open.

Yuhan was already asleep, and his shallow breathing was even and steady. James walked over lightly and reached out to test the temperature of her forehead. Fortunately, the toss just now did not make her condition worse, and it seems that Dr. Tom's medicine is still working.

James pulled the sheet and covered her, but found that there was blood on her hand outside the sheet, he frowned, and gently opened her palm, fortunately, only the epidermal abrasion was not serious. Was he injured in the fire just now? He thought about it carefully, and it shouldn't be. Could it be that something happened while going out during the day? It's only been out for most of the day, and she has a fever and an injury, how did she do it? Looking at her sleeping face, James frowned, anxiety in his eyes.
