Chapter 7: The Strange Temple
As I walked along the red brick road as I thought about the story my mother told me, I felt goosebumps on my arms and lower back as I drank a little bit of wine and was a little cold when the night breeze blew me like this. I looked up at the moon in the sky, when I was a child, I also learned to observe the direction and time through the celestial phenomena, and the moonlight above my head was in the westerly position, indicating that it was past twelve o'clock at this time, and the direction I walked should be correct.
But my intuition told me that something was wrong, my uncle told me before leaving, the avenue is a little farther than the dirt road, but at most it is four or five miles away, why did I walk for more than half an hour away, and I didn't see the three handful of rooms?
I had the heart to call Xiao Hei out to ask, but then I thought about it, Xiao Hei's Taoism may not be much higher than mine, although he has some understanding of illusion, but it is his natal supernatural power, that is, talent. I don't need to ask him, this road is weird, but even I can see that it is neither a phantom array nor a ghost hitting the wall, and I still can't figure out what is going on.
I stood there and looked back and forth, and found that it was gray and cloudy, as if suddenly there was a fog, I raised my nose and sniffed hard, and there was a smell of something fishy in the air, but it was not very obvious. I looked down at the tips of my shoes again and noticed that there were some dewdrops on the tips of my shoes, as if they were wet with the mist.
Suddenly I understood something, and to confirm what was in my mind, I pinched the mantra and recited the eye-opening mantra while looking around and over my shoulder. The surrounding mist is condensed like a substance, and it is simply a stream of yin qi, and the yang fire on my shoulder should have been yellow, but at this time, the tip of the flame turned a little blue, which is a manifestation of yin and yang.
It is recorded in Ying Shao's "Customs and Customs" that "the fog is deep and heavy, and the upper of the shoe is wet but not wet, which is really yin." This means that if between eleven and one o'clock there is a thick fog that wets the upper of the shoe and the ground is not wet, then it is not an ordinary fog but a yin qi. Because most of the human body is yang, the opposition of yin and yang will form water droplets.
No wonder my immortal family, including my master, said that what my grandmother taught me was a treasure, and I only knew that theories were useless before, but as my Taoism gradually improved, the usefulness of these theories gradually appeared. It seems that how much I can dig up these treasures depends on how much I improve in the future.
I swept around with my yin and yang eyes again, and found that there were no wandering ghosts or anything, so I couldn't figure it out, this is a highway and not a mass grave, how can a wandering ghost not be able to see such a heavy yin qi? Could it be that there are mass graves buried under this highway?
I couldn't figure it out, but I decided to get out of here first. The time is when the yin qi has just awakened, that is, between eleven and one o'clock in the middle of the night. But the heaviest yin qi is indeed between the ugly time and the yin hour, that is, at three or four o'clock in the morning. Now the yin qi has already affected my senses, and if I wait until the yin qi is at its heaviest, maybe what will happen, and I may hallucinate.
After much thought, I decided to get off the highway and go back to the field, just in the direction my uncle had brought me from. Counting the distance I've walked, the lower road should have avoided the Yellow Skin Grave by now. I kept my yin and yang eyes open, and then ran down to the bud rice field that was more than one person high. At the same time I turned off my flashlight, because the light would affect how clearly I could see the spirits.
I laboriously pulled the bud stalks on both sides, and went deeper and deeper along the furrow of the ground, and as I gradually moved away from the road, the fog became thinner, and the yin seemed to be less heavy. I smiled a little bitterly in my heart, how can I encounter some strange things everywhere I go? This crop has been trampled on by me, and when people go to the ground tomorrow, they will definitely scold my eight generations of ancestors.
The further you walked inside, the warmer it became, and even the light began to appear as if it were nothing. However, this bright light is not seen by normal vision, but appears under the action of yin and yang eyes, like wisps of smoke, which shows that there is yang energy in front, is it possible that there is someone in front?
To be honest, I was running back and forth in the field because I had no reference and I was lost. There may be a shack built by someone keeping vigil in the field, and I went to discuss it to see if they could send me off, but if it didn't work, even if it showed me the way or let me deal with it for a night.
While thinking about it, I desperately pulled the bud rice pole, and said in my heart that how many crops will be wasted, and I will give some money or some gifts tomorrow during the day. The more I thought about it, the faster I went, rampage through the budding rice fields like a big wild dog.
Within three or two minutes, I just felt that the yang energy was right in front of me, and I was dumbfounded the moment I came out of the bud rice field.
In front of me is a large open space, surrounded by buds that form a circle the size of a football field, and at the other end of the open space there is a building that looks like a house. The reason why it looks like a house is because the houses in the rural areas of Northeast China are either earthen houses or brick houses, and this building looks like a ridge type from a distance, and the roof is still paved with tiles. Such buildings are generally temples in rural areas, but I can't figure out what temples would be built in the middle of cultivated land.
Since I didn't have a flashlight with my yin and yang eyes on, I couldn't see clearly in this light. Generally, the shacks are made of plastic sheeting, and if you want to say that it is a land temple, it is usually a small niche, so I can't tell what the front is about. Fortunately, from the perspective of yin and yang, the yang energy is emitted from that building, and such a heavy yang energy can at least prove that there are people inside, at least there will be no ghosts.
Thinking of this, I began to cautiously walk towards the building, and as I got closer, I noticed that half of the building's two broken wooden doors were open, and there was a faint glow inside, as if it were from a candle. When I got closer, I took a closer look and saw that it was really a temple. This temple seems to be in disrepair, the walls on both sides are mottled and not good, just under the eaves there is a broken plaque, on which are written three big characters: Chaotian Temple.
I was stunned for a moment after reading it, and it was the first time I had heard of this kind of temple number. Generally, no matter whether there are two temples of Buddhism and Taoism, they are either named after the place or use the law number, such as Putuo Temple, Guanyin Pavilion or something. There are also some that show the position of the main image, such as many dragon king temples are also called Zhenhai Temple, who is offered in this Chaotian Temple? The name is too disrespectful, and the tone is really big.
Because I felt that there was a strong yang energy inside, and this temple did not look like it was open to the public, so I decided to knock on the door after thinking about it.
"Anyone? Is there anybody? I couldn't even knock and shout for a long time, and there was not even a sound of reply. Seeing that the candles are still lit inside, there shouldn't be no one, could it be that the people who live in it are deaf?
Although it is early autumn, the nights are quite cold, especially after drinking. I thought about it and walked in sideways, this courtyard was a bit like a courtyard house, and when I came in through the door, there was a large open space, only a stone table and a few stone benches. The houses on both sides of the courtyard were pitch black, the doors were not locked, and there were cobwebs everywhere on the doors and broken windows, which did not look like people were living there.
At the other end of the open space in front of us is the main hall, which is actually a small bungalow, and the candlelight is from there. I walked forward, and when I walked to the door, I first pulled my head and looked inside, the room was very narrow, only about ten square meters, and the statue was also attached to the wall, there was no one in the house, and there was no place to hide people.
I walked in curiously, wondering where the temple watchers had gone, and when I looked up at the statue, I was suddenly stunned. How strange this statue looks, it can be seen from the long hair of Danmei and phoenix eyes that it is a female figure, but this statue is dressed in colorful colors, hands spread out to both sides, and the sleeves are connected to the placket on both sides like a bat shirt, which is also too fashionable.
In addition, the eyebrows and eyes of this statue are very good-looking, but the mouths are pulled together, making the whole face look sharp-mouthed monkey cheeks, how awkward it is.
Outside, I felt that there was a lot of yang energy here, but when I entered the house, I couldn't find where the yang energy came from, and I was confused, so I felt as if the statue was smiling a little. This scared me into a cold sweat, I immediately stared at the face of the statue, stared for a long time and didn't react, I thought to myself, could it be that two or two drinks made me hallucinate?
I looked around again, and just as I was about to leave, I found a futon the size of a plate on the ground, and the ground in front of the futon was written in dark red paint: Those who kneel will live, and those who prostrate will live.
In my heart, I am sure that this temple is an evil temple, and ordinary temples are written to keep safe or something, but this temple actually directly threatens believers, meaning as if they will die if they don't kneel. In addition, this statue is also full of evil nature, and I have never seen this god before.
It is definitely impossible for me to kneel and kowtow, my grandmother told me about the consequences of worshipping evil gods, and the light ones will be followed by dirty things, and they will give you disasters at every turn. The heavy ones may be directly taken by the evil gods, and from then on, people are not ghosts or ghosts, which is not a joke.
In other words, I am for the hall, I can only give incense to my immortal family and kowtow, because my hall is the Buddha Manjushri, most of the halls are also the protectors of the Buddha, so the Buddha and the Bodhisattva are still the right way.
Buddhism has clouds, and evil views cause boundless karmic retribution, which is the five infertile sins, and the statues of unknown origin are for worship? So I thought about it and still felt that it was not a good place, so I didn't even dare to turn around, but retreated towards the door step by step, ready to leave the temple.
I had barely moved two steps when the statue moved in my horrified gaze, and its slender mouth closed one by one, and asked me in a very harsh and strange tone, "Where are you going, little boy?" ”
