Chapter Eighty-Seven: The Law Name - Hollow
Empty was silent and sighed:
"Why are you suffering, with your qualifications, it will be difficult to take revenge, and you can only waste your life in this temple."
"But worshipping Shaolin is my only chance, ten years of cultivation can't be successful, I can wait for twenty years, twenty years of cultivation can't succeed, I can wait for thirty years, as long as I persevere, there will always be a day when I can succeed."
Everyone in the open space did not make a sound, only the young man's voice was echoing, and he sighed for a while, turned around and said a few words to another Shaolin disciple on the side, the disciple turned to leave, he turned to Zhang Xuanye and said:
"I have already reported your matter to Uncle Shi of Luohan Hall, and I will wait for Uncle Shi to make a decision, if Uncle Shi does not agree, I can't do anything."
Zhang Xuanye immediately kowtowed heavily:
"Thank you, Master, for your mercy."
It didn't take long for the Shaolin disciple to come back and say a few words in Kongran's ear, and a smile appeared on Kongran's face and said:
"Uncle Jueyi has agreed to admit you to get started."
When the young man heard this, he immediately knelt down and bowed again:
"Thank you, Master, thank you."
Kongran waved his hand and said:
"You go to the right first."
The boy bowed again, and then got up to the right.
With his precedent, there were immediately many people who were unwilling to leave and were also begging for emptiness, and several teenagers were also crying and shouting, but after asking their names, Jueran took out the paper and looked at it, and said expressionlessly:
"If you have his perseverance and perseverance, it doesn't hurt for this door to accept you, but your performance in the past three months has not been good, and you have been lazy several times, and your qualifications can be made up for with perseverance and diligence, and your qualifications and perseverance are not good, and you can't enter this door."
The young man who said what he said was speechless, and the deaf pulled his head and retreated back into the crowd.
Next, Kong Ran persuaded the unwilling teenagers one by one to retreat, and finally sent everyone down the mountain.
In the end, only thirty-five people in total passed the test, including two disciples who had perseverance but were not qualified.
These who have passed the test are official disciples of Shaolin from today, and are qualified to practice Shaolin intermediate martial arts, and at the same time, there are senior brothers or uncles of Luohan Hall to teach various martial arts, if they are lucky, they may be accepted as disciples by Shaolin monks.
Becoming an official disciple does not mean that you don't have to work, you have to work the same, but the treatment is much better, the authority has been improved, and the place of residence has changed, Ye Chen still has to go to carry water early in the morning to exercise his body.
Of course, after becoming an official disciple of the Shaolin Temple, every new entrant still has an important choice to make, that is, to become a monk disciple or a lay disciple.
The so-called lay disciples are the disciples of the official Shaolin disciples who have held the ceremony of three refuges, but do not need to be ordained.
And the monks are also called Buddhist disciples, who need to shave their hair and take ordination, and officially take refuge in our Buddha.
The difference between lay disciples and ordained disciples is that lay disciples can choose whether to keep the precepts or not, they can keep them or not, and they can marry and have children, while ordained disciples must keep the rules and precepts within the door, and if they break the precepts, they will be punished.
It seems that lay disciples don't seem to have any restrictions, and they are much cooler than monk disciples.
But in fact .... It's really much cooler, ordinary people can't stand all kinds of strict rules and precepts, and both of them are formal disciples, they can practice Shaolin martial arts, and they can practice Shaolin 72 mastery when they meet the requirements.
However, there is an unspoken rule between lay disciples and monk disciples, that is, lay disciples cannot become high-level in Shaolin Temple, such as the abbot and the first seat of the four halls of the first courtyard must be a disciple of the family to serve, at the same time, several divine skills of the Shaolin Town School can only be practiced by monk disciples, such as the Yijin Sutra Washing the Pulp Sutra Vajra is not bad and so on.
Therefore, Ye Chen's choice was to become a monk and shave his hair.
Anyway, when he learns the Shaolin Town School, he can return to the vulgar.
Shaolin Temple does not restrict the monks from returning to the world, but there are few or no real monks returning to the world.
After all, if you can learn those few town sects and succeed in them, they are basically seventy or eighty years old, and at such an old age, the four major ones are basically empty, and there is no need to return to the world.
But Ye Chen is different, as long as the potential points are enough, as long as he can cultivate to the top in just one year, he can become an invincible super master in the world, no matter how vulgar he is at that time, no one can stop him.
Shaolin Temple has to accept many disciples every year, but there are very few people who really choose to become monks, basically only one or two out of ten, sometimes not, just like his thirty-five people this year, only three people choose to become monks, and the others all choose to become lay disciples.
The three of them are Ye Chen, Zhang Xuanye, and an advent named Wu Wenguang.
Zhang Xuanye chose to be a monk disciple, probably because he felt that his qualifications were too poor, and it was estimated that he would have to wait more than ten years for revenge if he wanted to practice and succeed, so he simply became a monk directly, and when he finished taking revenge, the four major ones would be empty, and he would directly become a monk for a lifetime.
And Wu Wenguang's idea of the advent is very simple, he guessed that he came to Shaolin martial arts, and wanted to practice a few Shaolin mastery before the end of the advent time and take it out, whether it was for personal use or sale.
Unlike other Adventists who may have a last wish to complete, Wu Wenguang's last wish is probably related to Shaolin.
The ordination ceremony was held at the Mahavira Hall, and after a three-day fasting ceremony, the three of them were officially shaved and branded with a scar on the top of their heads.
Shaolin lay disciples have to shave their heads, but there is no scar on the top of the head, which is the difference between a lay and a monk.
As a monk disciple, Ye Chen was officially awarded a Dharma name after shaving-Hollow, which is a disciple of the Shaolin Kongzi generation, that is, the lowest generation today.
As for lay disciples, they also have a law name, but it is not granted by the master, but a word of their own name is added to the generation, such as Ye Chen, if you choose to be a lay disciple, the law name is called Kong Chen.
To be honest, to myself this legal name.... Ye Chen felt a little weird, hollow, which meant that he had no heart.
The official legal name has not been changed, and it is all arranged according to generation.
From the day of shaving, Ye Chen officially entered Shaolin and began his career as a monk who strictly abides by the rules and precepts.
There are a lot of rules and precepts in Shaolin Temple, but there are mainly ten precepts, which are the so-called ten precepts, which must be followed, even for lay disciples.
Ye Chen glanced at it, it was almost the same as he imagined, he had to be compassionate, he was not allowed to bully the weak, he was not allowed to kill people and set fires, etc.
However, there was one precept that was different from what he had imagined: drinking alcohol and eating meat.
This article has a special note, Shaolin monks can not abide by this article, but they are not allowed to kill at will, which means that Shaolin monks can eat meat and not drink.
It's normal to think about it, Shaolin warrior monks specialize in martial arts, how can the body bear it if they don't eat meat, and the so-called monk eating fast does not include warrior monks.
