The 2018 National Memorial Day is a commemoration that should not be forgotten 81 years ago.

Today is December 13, 2018, 81 years ago today, December 13, 1937, the Japanese invasion of China occupied the city of Nanjing and carried out a tragic massacre of unarmed people and prisoners, and the massacre lasted for six weeks, more than 300,000 compatriots were killed and plundered by the Japanese invaders, the Nanjing Massacre is also known as the darkest page in the history of modern civilization, time flies, the years are silent, and in a blink of an eye it is December 13 of another year.

On February 12, 2014, the seventh meeting of the National Senior Officials' Conference voted to establish December 13 as the National Memorial Day for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre, to commemorate all the compatriots killed by the Japanese invaders, today is the fifth National Memorial Day for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre, and it is also the 81st anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, at 10 o'clock this morning, the national memorial ceremony was held in the collective square of the Memorial Hall of the Nanjing Massacre, from 10:01 to 10:02, the alarm will sound throughout the city.

On the wall of the list of victims in the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall, only the names of some victims who can be identified are recorded, and many of the victims have not even left their names.

On the Nanjing Massacre Survivor Photo Wall, every extinguished lamp represents the departure of this survivor, although the lamp will be extinguished, but the memory will never be extinguished.

81 years have passed, the survivors of the massacre have been less than 100, and the witnesses are withering, but this bloody and criminal history will never be forgotten because of the departure of these survivors, the Japanese government is still denying the history of the Nanjing Massacre to this day, just calling it the Nanjing Incident lightly, crime is crime, and it will not be equal to not happening because you do not admit it.

As a Chinese, we must remember the pain brought to us by the Nanjing Massacre, remember history, and never forget the national shame.

Some things can never be forgotten, and some sins can never be forgiven.
