Section 6 Nanwudang Hide
Liangshan, also known as Basket Mountain, also known as Nanwudang; Located in Yichang, Hubei Province, it is the largest religious mountain on both sides of the Yangtze River in Bashuyi. The mountains are majestic, the twilight clouds are auspicious, and the deep cliffs and streams can be seen everywhere. As early as the period of Emperor Wu of Liang in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there were Buddhist ancestors who came here to preach the scriptures and preach. Li Bai once sang here: "The mountains end with the plains, and the rivers flow into the great wilderness."
Everything in my hometown is still the same. This time I had plenty of time to return to my hometown, so I decided to go to Yangsan to worship the mountain and ask.
Liangshan is one of the few mountains in China where Buddhism and Taoism live together. The mountainside is the Mahayana Bodhisattva Buddha Guanyin Temple, and the top of the mountain is the Xuanyue Sanqing Jinding Taoist Temple.
In the summer, the mountains and fields are windy. A quiet bluestone road stretches out and winds from the depths of the trees, disappearing from the depths of the trees, and the scene is like a reality. As far as the eye can see, the clouds and mountains are surrounded by mist, and the springs are green and grassy.
Halfway up the mountain, a tile of green eaves reveals a sharp corner.
Three major halls of Guanyin Temple. Daxiong Treasure Hall, twelve meditation rooms, and the temple next to the "Chongshan School". During this period, the stone carvings, wood carvings, murals, and statues are dazzling, which is very spectacular. The deep valleys on both sides are filled with clouds and the sound of the tide. The loft near the mountain is built according to the situation, and the mountains are stacked on top of each other; The bluestone paved path passes through the Daxiong Treasure Hall, and the Buddha statue is surrounded by almost right-angled steps that leap from the back porch to the top of the mountain.
The Bodhisattva Buddha statue in the treasure hall is solemn and kind-looking; The lobby with sandalwood bursts, green smoke is swirling, sandalwood is overflowing, and there is a kind of fairy rhyme. Even those tourists who have not confided their thoughts to the Buddha will be a little apprehensive when they look at this quiet temple well, and they can't help but bow their heads and kneel religiously.
At noon, I roamed all the way to pluck branches and willows, looking around, the side corridor full of eaves murals was breezy and breezy, and I didn't see a human figure, nor did I hear the sound of Zen chanting. Only a small light incense liao in the center of the main hall smokes.
There was no incense candle in my hand, and there was no place to hoard incense everywhere, so I quietly walked to the Buddha statue in the main hall and stood in front of the Buddha statue at a loss.
"The donor doesn't have to worry, you don't have anything to ask for, you don't need to burn incense to wake up the Buddha, you don't have to worship the Buddha if you have no desire, you don't have to ask for anything, this is also a kind of respect for the Buddha." Dressed in a green coat and hat, the local vernacular is sandwiched with Zen language, and an old monk and nun crosses the hurdle from the side room. The monks and nuns have clear eyes and white teeth, clean faces and plain clothes, deep eyebrow lines, and a graceful expression; There is a kind of out-of-this-world temperament. Although I can't tell the age of Taoism, but the soft words give people a sense of peace of mind. It was as if my mother's earnest teachings were echoing in my ears.
She held the namaste Buddha and said, "And we don't sell incense and candles here, as long as the incense is still burning, you just have to bow and knock, if you really want something, you can wait for the divination hexagram to enlighten the Buddha to calculate whether the fortune of the hour is appropriate and then make a decision."
"Ah, and there are temples that don't sell incense?" I paused for a moment, knelt down busily, bowed respectfully to the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva three times, and read: "Today's disciple is passing by in the mountains, and I have no intention of disturbing, please forgive the Buddha", and then solemnly made a bow, got up and bowed deeply to the smiling old woman.
Incense money has always been the main source of income for Chinese temples, and it is a taboo to worship the mountain without entering the Buddhist gate. The more money there is, the bigger the incense pillars, the more sincere the heart seems to be, and it has always been a simple idea of the Chinese public. However, this Guanyin Temple is a rare Buddhist temple that does not sell tickets or incense.
There are two roads before and after Liangshan Mountain, the bluestone slab path in front of the mountain, which is convenient for tourists to climb the mountain in a straight line and walk, and a winding cement road about three meters wide in the back mountain, you can enjoy the scenery of the mountain while driving to the halfway up the mountain, and then go to the bluestone slab road in front of the Guanyin Temple to meet and climb to the top.
There is a big tree at the intersection of the corner of the parking lot, the trunk is majestic and luxuriant, and the branches are wide and intricate, which is one of the wonders in the temple.
Suddenly, a child's cry for help flickered, interspersed with tugging and shouting. When I heard it, it seemed to be on the mountain road in the back mountains. The sound seemed to come from near the parking lot meeting behind the mountain.
Saying goodbye to the old woman, I hurriedly ran in the direction of the tree, wanting to see what was going on, and I went to help as much as I could.
I was careful to slip behind the tree, and before I could see the form, my feet slipped, and the intertwined roots tripped me and fell into the hollow. I vaguely felt a little soft under me, and I fixed my eyes to see a seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy covered in stains and yellow mud looking at me in horror, the tears in the corners of his eyes and the bruises on the side of his mouth looked extremely "touching".
The child was about to scream, I quickly covered the other person's mouth, and then gave a calm look, and when he was puzzled, two voices came from the top of his head.
"No, where did that kid run, I just saw him get out of the car and turn here and then he disappeared", he shouldn't have been able to run far, a person with a thin voice muttered softly.
"You idiot, you can't even look at a child, what else can you do, no wonder you were bullied in the company, hurry up and look for it at the temple, if you can't find it, we'll both be finished." Another gruff voice scolded.
"Well, don't be angry, Mr. Li, I'll go to the temple now, you just wait around the downhill junction."
"What a".
I breathed a sigh of relief as the shouting faded away with the footsteps, and the boy stopped trembling.
"Are you hurt, do you need me to carry it?" I asked. The child shook his head slightly.
"Don't be afraid. Those two people just now don't look like the most vicious people, and it shouldn't be a big problem to deal with my body, which usually plays with guns and sticks," I comforted the child.
Perhaps it was because of the emotional release of the Buddha Hall just now, I suddenly felt confident in my future life, and by the way, I did not feel anxious about the boy's plight.
"How about going up the mountain to eat something and recuperate first, and avoiding those two villains by the way?" After saying that, I gently patted the soil on the child's body, tested the strength of the roots, cautiously climbed out of the hole, and then reached out to pick up the child and walked with him to the mountain from the other direction.
The little guy looked around from time to time along the way, with a cautious expression and a perverse demeanor. The occasional kicking of trees and grass along the way exposes his anxious and stubborn little emotions. Recalling the words of the two gangsters just now, and then carefully looking at the "unknown person" in front of him, he always felt that things were strange. Seeing that he didn't say that I didn't ask the question, it was originally a meeting in Pingshui, and it was not a rescue, and it was a big deal to go down the mountain and borrow him to send him home.
The golden dome of the Taoist temple on the top of the mountain is composed of the three clear halls, the palace of the prince and the purple and yellow treasure hall at the highest point. The hall is bustling with activity, some people are praying sincerely, and some people are wandering around. There is a platform in the shade of the mountain behind the Taoist temple, the two-compartment bungalow is built against the mountain, the gatehouse is like a house, and the surrounding quiet is inaccessible, which is a good place to hide.
Avoiding crowded places, we followed a hidden side corridor to the back mountain.
I thought about it, the residence of the Taoist priests is not an ordinary place after all, and the general Xiaoxiao will never dare to come recklessly, and those two gangsters will definitely not search unscrupulously, if they are seen and asked, then explain that we are just temporarily hiding, it should not be a big problem.
When I got to the door, I opened the door and was about to lift my feet to enter, when I suddenly looked up and saw an old man with a withered face and goosebumps sitting at the door, saying that he was sitting because he was meditating, but the place where he was sitting was on a low futon by the wall. The old Taoist priest has withered bones and thin cheekbones, and if it weren't for the crown and bun, the long beard on his face, and the gray shirt with coarse cloth and running white, he would look like a refugee who escaped in embarrassment.
Lao Dao slowly stretched his eyes and took advantage of the situation to salute with one hand, and looked at the two of us quietly without speaking. Usually articulate I am also a little worried in the face of such a scene, pull the child behind me into the house and close the door, only 1510 to tell the matter a rough idea, as for who the child is and why I can't say why he was chased, I can only test the curiosity and understanding of the old Taoist. Unexpectedly, after listening to the statement full of loopholes, the old Taoist priest didn't chase or ask, just got up and glanced at the bruises on the corner of the child's mouth, smashed out a stoneware vial on the side of the table, poured out a few drops of liquid with the smell of honey and smeared it on the child's mouth, and then turned around and walked out of the room.
Seeing that the old Taoist priest had no intention of driving us away, the two of us were naturally not polite, found a stool to sit down, and carefully looked at the room.
There are two rooms inside and outside the house, and in addition to a few tables and two tables in the hall, there are only a few calligraphy and paintings hanging on the wall and a roll of paper books on the table. It records the names of many pilgrims who have donated incense to the Taoist temple, with a maximum of 1,000 yuan and a minimum of 20 yuan.
I didn't dare to move anything in the house, and I didn't know much about calligraphy and painting, so I took out the food and drink in my backpack and feasted with my children. The little guy kept silent about his identity and origin, and even the mobile phone didn't say that he wanted to borrow it, but Zuo Guyan asked from time to time how to go down the mountain to escape, and I couldn't come up with a better idea for a while, so I had to comfort and wait for a while, and consume the two bad guys to go away or go down the mountain with a large group of tourists.
Fortunately, the old Taoist priest came back soon after, and also brought back a 'young' Taoist priest in his 50s, with the same clear face and a tied crown. Maybe the old Taoist priest has already introduced the relevant situation, and the young Taoist priest opened his mouth and asked, there are two middle-aged men wandering outside the temple to visit, whether they are the gangsters in your mouth, if so, they can come forward to assist in handling and escort us down the mountain safely. If they need to call the police or contact people outside the mountain, they can also take action, leaving the two of them first.
Originally, I didn't know the truth of the kidnapping of the child, and I didn't have a detailed understanding of the cause and extent of the victimization, but the three of us turned to look at the child, and he was also speechless. The old Taoist priest knew that there might be something wrong with him, so he gestured for the Taoist priest to retreat.
Don't look at the old Taoist priest's wrinkles and years, I don't know how many times, but his flexible body is not old at all, he turned around and took out a two-foot-tall teapot and three clay teacups from the back room and put them on the table, and said in a warm voice: "Please use tea." The accent is elegant and full of atmosphere, with some charm of a worldly master.
I quickly got up and poured water for the three clay cups. There was no lid on the teapot, and two one-inch-sized brown tea leaves floated on the water. I didn't expect the teapot to be filled with a weight of more than ten catties, and I was secretly frightened.
Two cups of tea were delivered to them, leaving one for themselves. Thinking back to this pot full of tea but only two tea leaves, I suddenly felt a little unbelievable. The old Taoist priest seemed to see my curiosity, and said casually, "This tea is called "a horse can", that is, a horse leaf can boil a pot of tea, which can quench thirst. But the three of you and I are today with the "robbery" to get married, leading tea and talking things, but also have cause and effect, I have not experienced the world for a long time, wait for the affairs to subside, report a birthday, send you to the purple and yellow hall on the pillar incense, and then follow me to the mountain spirit tree to cut off the vow branch." The two of us nodded blankly, not knowing how to answer for a while. After Lao Dao finished speaking, Shi Shiran closed his eyes, and he didn't pay attention to us anymore.
The tea is cool and delicious in the throat, hidden sweet and mixed with a slight fragrance, the atmosphere in the room is quiet and stagnant, in this special environment, time does not know how fast or slow, as if it is a long time and seems to be a moment. At this moment, I have a sense of calmness and satisfaction that I have never felt before, no sense of sadness and no need to worry, no nostalgia for the past and no extravagant hope for eternity, freedom is like a clock to let time pass and only feel my own existence...
