If the three desalination canals are operating at full capacity, they could produce 84 billion cubic meters of fresh water a year.

Of course, it is impossible to reach full capacity, not because desalination plants can't produce it, but because pipelines can't transport so much fresh water.

The water pipeline currently being erected has a single line to transport 15 billion cubic meters of water per year.

If the desalination plant were to run at full capacity, six pipelines would need to carry 15 billion cubic meters of water per year.

Therefore, the desalination plant is currently putting into a desalination canal for trial production, and the operating power is only about 40%.

The water level of the 100,000-square-meter, 30-meter-deep reservoir that can hold 3 million cubic meters of water is rising at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Don't think that a 3 million cubic meter reservoir can meet the freshwater production rate of a desalination canal, a desalination canal can fill this reservoir with fresh water produced in one hour.

So during the test run, only 40% of the power was activated, but even so, the reservoir would be completely filled in about two and a half hours.
