067 Let's go to the minefield 2
Jill boarded the elevator to the garden or other parts of the atrium, and when the machine stopped, it seemed to be isolated by trees. Opposite the lush potted plants and the low metal fence, the leaves rustle and sound like a forest. The surrounding walls were covered in bright and featureless grass, and a rusty iron door was welded into the walls. There is also a large well with a short spiral staircase inside and a small lift at the end.
Want to ride that? What the hell is this place?
The elevator takes Jill to a room that she discovers is different from the rest of the Spencer family's private domain. There's no strange stench in the villa and the damp oppressive feeling of the underpass. It's like leaving the Gothic world of phobic cloth and entering a military facility and a utilitarian paradise.
Jill is in a space made of concrete reinforced with steel, and even the walls are painted orange in the colors of heavy work. Metal conduits are neatly arranged above the walls. A few feet above is written in black paint with the words "XD-RB1". A name that fits well for the space. I don't feel at all how this place has any connection to the rest of the private domain.
It's also cold, but at least it feels grounded.
On the other side was a heavy iron door, which was securely locked. There is an explanation on the left side of the door that it can only be opened in the first level of emergency. The word "B1" written on the wall probably means "basement floor". The reason for this speculation is that there is an iron staircase nearby that leads to the bottom. So, go to "B2" and check it out. From other point of view, if you don't, the only option left is to go back to the underground tunnels.
Jill looked down the stairs and could only see the square of concrete below. She sighed and started going downstairs with a shotgun. As soon as she descended the stairs, she looked around uneasily, which was a much smaller space. Like the original place, there is no unpleasant smell here, and it looks like a workshop, with fluorescent lights embedded in the ceiling, gray iron doors, concrete walls, and floors. As she walked, Jill prayed that there would be no more monsters or mechanical traps. Not to mention the scenical interior of this underground space, at least don't mess with me anymore......
Jill opened the door, and her expectations were blown away like dead flesh. With a frown, she walked into a concrete passage that led to a new staircase, with metal handrails on either side of the road. In the depths of the passage, there were no zombies, but there was something emaciated like a mummy.
Jill gripped her shotgun and walked slowly down the stairs. Where the handrail is disconnected, the hallway branches off towards the left. Jill approached the corner and quickly glanced towards the fork in the road, confirming that it was safe over there. Guarding against the dry corpse, she turned the corner and stopped in front of a door on the left. Next to the door is the word "Video Data Room". The door is not locked.
The grey room is quiet, with a long square table for meetings in the center and a projector in front of a light curtain. There is a telephone on the wall on the right. Jill walked towards the phone, knowing in his heart that it was better not to get his hopes up, but it never hurt to investigate.
Jill suddenly notices a square metal control panel on the wall, and walks over to take a closer look.
Jill touched the flat steel on top, and the console returned to the wall, and a large red button appeared. Jill looked around the quiet room, wondering what kind of mechanism it was. Then she realized that it wasn't a mechanism at all.
Villas, underground passages – all of this is set up to prevent people from coming to this underground space.
Jill had a feeling that her reasoning was correct. This is the conference room, a place where you can drink bad coffee and have a meeting with your colleagues. In other words, even if you press this button, nothing will suddenly fly out. She pressed the button. Then a decorative pillar behind it made a mechanical sound and slowly moved to the side. Several shelves appeared behind the pillars, piled high with papers. Then, in the soft gray light of the room, something shimmered.
Jill hurriedly stepped forward and took the object in his hand, which turned out to be a key made of metal with a small lightning bolt engraved on the front. She put the key in her pocket and flipped through the papers. The documents were all emblazoned with the logo of Ambrera, although there were so many that there was no time to read them all. But Jill only glanced at the title of the report, and all the doubts in his mind were confirmed.
Ambrera / Biological Weapons Report / Research and Development
Jill nodded slowly, putting the report back in its place. Finally, I found a "real" research facility on my own. Other than that.. The traitor of the S is somewhere in this facility. Be sure to act more cautiously next. After one last look around, Jill decided to look for the place where the key she had just gotten could open. This Ambrera company was curated to make .. The puzzle pieces that the members of the S team sacrificed themselves are finally about to put together the last few pieces.
Plant 42's curved roots took over a corner of the basement, and the delicate, fleshy fibrous roots hung from the ceiling, just enough to touch the floor. The worm-covered fibers were blindly entwined around each other and slowly swaying back and forth, as if searching for water that Chris had drained.
"Ah, your face is not very good." Rebecca said.
Chris nodded. In addition to the control room he had fled into, there were two other rooms in the basement. One is a warehouse with all sorts of weapons - of course, those weapons are so blistered that they are unusable. However, Chris found a large number of pistol bullets on the top shelf, so at least the ammo problem was solved. The other room was more rudimentary, with only tables and benches—and upstairs was the whirling roots of carnivores.
"So," Chris said, "what are we going to do with this guy?"
Rebecca pulled out a small vial of purple liquid and shook it gently as she stared at the vines.
"You stand back a little bit, being careful not to breathe heavily. These fluids contain a lot of toxins that are harmful to the human body, and when they come into contact with these infected cells, they turn into toxic gases. ”
Chris nodded, then asked, "How do we know if this thing works?"
Rebecca smiled and said, "If the description of V-Jolt is true, then you will know it right away."
Rebecca opened the cap and approached the crooked roots, then tilted the vial slowly, and the liquid inside sprinkled on the viper-like vines.
