Chapter 26: The Laboratory
Pangu looked at the upside-down corpse, "Ron, how many Cthulhus have you killed?" ”
The two continued to walk back, a storage room with a row of copper boxes stacked inside.
Pangu opened, and the chest was filled with white crystals.
"What are so many crystals for?"
Ron, unaware of the effect of the crystals, shook his head, and found nothing about the two of them returning to the lab.
Now the focus was on the metal tube connected box, and Ron told Pangu to open it.
Pangu looked at the solution-soaked brain, a little weak, and one of his tentacles, who was at a loss, inadvertently pressed a bulge on the metal box.
A metal tube fell out of the place where the brain was connected and writhed a few times on the ground, like a dying snake.
"Don't move!"
"I accidentally touched it." Pangu explained,
With that, he transformed the tentacle into the shape of a human palm, and then went to open the metal box.
"Click...... Click......"
A slow, dull voice reached the ears of the two, and Pangu could only relieve his tension by speaking.
"Ron, there's not going to be a monster out of this."
"Don't worry, you look weird."
"But I'm timid."
"Wait......" Ron said suddenly, and Pangu quickly retreated a few meters, "What's wrong?" What's wrong? ”
"This sound didn't come from inside the box."
Pangu lay on the ground, really becoming a pile of soft mud, "You...... Don't scare me. ”
Ron wriggled and looked around, "Look, that glass jar that soaked the corpse!" ”
Pangu looked over, and there was a subtle clicking sound from a glass jar containing a deep diver.
If you look closely, it was the deep diver who was immersed in it cutting the glass with the webbing of his forelimbs.
"My goodness! His brain has been dug out, how can he still be alive? ”
If Ron doesn't believe that he is still alive, Ron asks Pangu to break the glass, and Pangu says that he will not go.
"Don't forget that I still have mental energy!"
This sentence made Pangu puff up his courage to find a hard object and break the glass jar.
Bang la~ The solution flowed all over the ground, and some of it stuck to Pangu's feet.
As the solution poured out, the diver fell to the ground, and the two watched it silently.
After a while, the half-headed diver twitched a few times, and then slowly crawled forward.
"Why are you still alive?" Ron curious.
"Me? Still alive? Why can't I see? "Thankfully, the deep diver still has a mouth on half of his head.
"You...... No brains! ”
Ron thought it was incredible!
When the deep diver heard this, he trembled, "I'm 9527, I'm a test subject. His voice was full of fear and staccato to be heard.
Ron vaguely remembered the number, not because of the star, but because there was a glass container with a brain on it labeled "9527".
He then discovers that it was the 9527 glass container that had fallen from the metal tube from his brain.
Could that brain be his?
"Can you tell me everything you know?"
Without him having to speak, the diver lying on the ground was already muttering to himself.
"We were hiding from the Flying Glides in the sea, and one day when we met them, they could make a high-frequency sound, and before we got close, we fell asleep, and when we woke up, we were here."
"They never speak, they communicate by the flashes of color on their heads, so I don't know what they're called or what they're going to do, but when I'm locked up here, I've seen them dig up countless Cthulhu brains, and then put the brains in a glass container, and the corpses are in the glass case in the back, and they correspond one by one."
Ron looked at the rest of the brains and the various corpses in the back, and it turned out that each brain corresponded to himself in the back.
"Every time they do experiments with a different Cthulhu brain, the metal tube leads to the metal box, and the brain and the hollowed-out brain corpse behind it can also sense it, I saw them ask the corpse behind it in Cthulhu's language several times, how it feels, and then make all kinds of records, and then open the box, but every time I open it, I shake my head, I saw it once, and there are crystals in that box."
Ron also saw a lot of crystals in the back pantry.
Why do they connect their brains with crystals?
"And the crystals of failure are all black, because you can feel it from their emotions, and after the failure, they eat the brain, put the corpse in the corpse locker, and then pull out the next batch of test pieces."
Ron knew that the deep diver and the others in the container were being experimented with, and set a fire to themselves, so they "lived", if that was alive as well.
The talker's words grew weaker and weaker, and soon after, he lay motionless on the ground, completely dead.
Ron was cautious and couldn't easily believe him just by listening to him, so he asked Pangu to pull out all the tubes in his brain, and the "resurrected" corpses all asked and answered the same.
In one of the episodes, a falling Glip tries to emit psychic power, and at that moment, the glass container containing his brain suddenly bursts, and Ron speculates that his psychic power is in his brain, and any corpse has no attack power.
The result of the experiment was the crystal in the box, and Pangu, who knew the result, was no longer afraid, and opened the metal box with a loud horn.
The inside of the metal box is very complex, with glass bottles of various colors, and various liquids on the periphery of a disc, which flow into the crystal in the middle through the mysterious runes in the disc.
Pangu looked at the crystal, "This crystal is not the same color as they say, why is it red." ”
Yes, the crystal Pangu held in his hand was red, not the clear crystal in the storeroom, nor the black failure that the "corpses" had said.
"Is this a work-in-progress?" Pangu asked.
Ron didn't know either, so he had to let Pangu put it away first.
Ron then began to look for the transcripts of the notes that the corpses said they had taken, but unfortunately they were not found anywhere, and they should have been burned.
This high-tech creature is supposed to be an alien creature, and Ron doesn't know where they came from, if there are any of their accomplices on Earth, and he doesn't know what to do with the brain experiment crystals.
The ending was not quite what Ron expected, and he was a little in a bit of a mood, and he and Pangu went home in a huff.
Pangu caught a lot of fish, grilled them, and treated the animals who helped them, and Ron stayed underwater for a while, and when he came out, he explained a very important thing to the animals.
It is to let them learn to live underwater quickly, and in a few million years their descendants may adapt to life on the ocean floor, and the mass extinction of the Ice Age can be avoided.
After a few more days, Ron prepares to return to the "heavens and earth", and a group of animals want to follow Ron, and Ron is not easy to refuse, so everyone prepares to cross Africa, from the South Atlantic to the Pan Pacific.
On the last night, Ron said goodbye to the prehistoric animals, and Pangu caught the fish, and Ron asked him to sprinkle salt on it, saying that it was called "pickled fish"! It can be preserved for a long time, and there is no fear of running out of food during the winter.
The prehistoric animal looked at Ron with a look of adoration, which made Ron very fluttering.
