35. Class "S" emergency communications
A view from a high-altitude perspective appeared on the light screen.
The aftermath of the attack was shown in several high-definition images, of the bodies of the crew and soldiers on the transport ship, but with the hull intact.
The images of the other transport ships are not very clear, but you can also see that the scene of the attack was very brutal, and the angle is similar to the previous ones.
The latter images are images of a frigate destroyer, the hull is burning, and a large hole in the rear deck of the hull can be seen in the thick smoke, and there is a dead soldier with a gun on his back on the bow deck.
This level of damage would have allowed the ship to sink completely to the bottom of the sea in no more than 20 minutes at most, and the photographs were apparently taken within 20 minutes of the misfortune.
The ship's emergency communication line is supposed to have worked after the attack, and the alert was transmitted to the headquarters, which in turn transmitted the information to the military's monitoring satellites, which then took the images in an emergency manner.
"Huh? Oh my God, are the corpses on these transport ships all soldiers? A correspondent of the Planetary Council asked.
"Yes, the entire crew, including the soldiers, a total of 88 people, were not spared, and all of them died."
"So, what was the cause of their death? Is there another destroyer's people, and the cause of their death is the same? β
"That's a good question, that's where the weirdness begins. The cause of their death appears to be due to...... Brawls on ships, brawls in which everyone participated. The things that cause fatal injuries are the ones that can be found everywhere, like these. β
With a wave of his hand, the general swiped across several images.
An image that shows more detail is zoomed in, and it still shows the horrific situation on the transport ship: someone has been shot with a weapon; Someone was strangled by a rope and hung overboard; Someone was impaled in a vital part of the body with a sharp weapon he was carrying; Others were nailed to the deck by hooks on the side of the ship; There are also people who jump ship and float on the sea; The other guy was apparently killed by a fire extinguisher......
In short, there are all kinds of strange ways to die, and the scene on that ship is like purgatory on earth, and the soldiers are all in a state of madness, killing each other.
The more the hall watched, the more frightened one of the officials began to gasp for breath in discomfort and sprayed the medicine into his mouth.
"Oh my God, what's causing this?"
"Look at that! Did that man put a rope around his neck in a vain attempt to jump into the sea and strangle himself to death? β
"Are they all crazy?"
"Brawl? No, it can't be a brawl, it's a massacre! What is it that makes them kill each other so cruelly? β
The crowd began to talk to each other again, and for a moment there was a chaotic sound in the hall.
"Quiet! The high-definition image you have just seen was sent back by an unmanned aerial vehicle that we sent from the nearest base, about an hour ago. β
General Baker tapped the table with the metal stick in his hand, and everyone below immediately fell silent.
Suddenly, a voice sounded, it was a physics researcher known to Dr. Su, who should belong to the CIAA and had worked with him for a period of time before.
"If that's the case, then how to explain the fire and the big hole on the other ship? You said earlier that there are no traces of an external attack on both ships...... And on the deck of that ship, why was there only one dead soldier? β
General Baker glanced at him and took a deep breath.
"This is also a good explanation, according to the judgment of our ship's experts, the large hole that was created by the explosion was caused by the explosion inside the ship's ammunition depot. Most of the soldiers on the frigate should have died in that explosion. As for the soldier, it may have been similar to what happened to the previous cargo ship. β
General Baker glanced at the physicist and replied.
"Well, internal sabotage...... That's right. The physicist stopped talking and pondered.
Baker looked around again before he spoke slowly.
"Do you have any questions or opinions about this incident? As far as we know, that's the whole thing. β
Baker put down the metal stick in his hand, stretched out his palm and wiped it in the air, and those unpleasant images disappeared from his eyes.
"Wait a minute, show me the image on the frigate again." An officer with a grim face said.
General Baker recognized him as the head of the Military Investigation Section, Colonel Foucault Charles, known as the "All-Rounder".
The "hum" light screen reshows that image.
Here, his ribs are magnified a little. Well, okay, this is it. β
The picture shows the soldier lying on the ground and dying, with no one around him, and it seems that in the early morning, the sun is faintly shining on the fence at the bow of the ship.
"Huh? Was the cause of this man's death because of the dagger under his ribs? But it doesn't seem to be bloodless? An official also saw it.
Foucault pondered for a long time, nodded and said, "This person was obviously assassinated, and the murderer stabbed him in the ribs from behind. Well, that's rare. Why is it still wet on the deck......"
"Colonel Foucault, do you have any opinion on the manner in which this soldier died?" General Baker asked.
Colonel Foucault seemed to be muttering to himself, not immediately explaining his opinion: "There is no blood coming out, and there is nothing strange about it, the internal organs are punctured, but the dagger plugs the wound...... However, the dagger stabbed from behind was on his body, which indicates that the murderer killed him at close range with his own weapon. Well, there's also this angle issue......"
Colonel Foucault picked up Beck's metal stick on the table, gestured with his hand, thrust it diagonally from behind, and then changed a few more positions, and tried to hold the dagger backwardsβin short, each position was strange and uncomfortable.
"So, what's your conclusion?" General Baker asked impatiently.
Colonel Foucault shook his head and said, "I don't know, but I can speculate that this man assassinated him from behind and walked into the crew lounge on the lower deck...... Walk through the corridor passage and finally come to the ammunition depot ......"
"Is it him, who finally killed the soldiers of the entire ship, including himself?" A CIAA official shouted.
"Well, reasonable explanation, maybe that's it." Foucault nodded.
"Oh my God, this madman!"
"This bastard, he's a traitor within the military? Y-Why did he? β
"Isn't this guy afraid of death?"
"So, even if the things on this ship are clear, how can the situation on that transport ship be explained?" An official asked rhetorically.
"Yes! It was a collective brawl of all the soldiers! It's crazy, and there's not a single one alive, how is that possible? Did it happen alone? Another CIAA official chimed in.
"No, it won't, it's unbelievable!"
In the end, everyone's conclusions are in the same direction: this is too outrageous, isn't it?
Suddenly, the communicator beep in General Baker's hand beeped, and he glanced down at the code: Huh? It's an S-Class emergency communication.
He immediately frowned, turned to the secretary next to him, and motioned, "Connect." β
Soon some text information was displayed on the light screen: at 21:33, the drone of the reconnaissance unit found 17 villagers at the scene in the area of "Coco Juan Simon", 14.2 kilometers from the west coast of the Red Sea, all of whom had no vital signs, and the video was being transmitted at the scene......
