On her twenty-first birthday, Caitlin's father gave her a Hextek Seiko rifle as a gift. This weapon is a superb, with specialized ammo providing better stability and more accuracy than any rifle Caitlyn has ever had. The gun can also be freely modified to fire many different types of ammunition. From then on, Caitlin would always take it with her whenever she went out to solve a case.
Caitlin knew the hidden corners and secret passages of Piltover as well as she knew the jungle paths by heart as a child, so not only did she earn a decent income from the job, but she also came into contact with many different classes and social groups. Caitlin's work has led her to many bizarre events, which have also given her a lot of first-hand information, especially about unproven Hextech and deviant alchemy technology developments. Over the next few years, she quickly made a name for herself, and everyone knew that if she wanted someone to help her, she would go to Catelyn.
As Caitlin takes on a case of theft of a Hextech device and its associated intentional assault, as well as a series of child kidnappings, she teams up with a Piltover-guarded agent to investigate. Like her, the agent has a penchant for taking on bizarre cases. Despite the fact that the clues are getting slimmer day by day, Caitlyn does not give up. She traces the clues of the case like a puppy chasing a bone, and finally finds out. Caitlin and the guards tracked down an alchemist who had been forced to lose his mind by his physical condition, and hired a group of psychosis who had escaped control. After a bloody battle with the madmen, Catelyn and the guards were able to free the missing children. At their private celebration party, he invites Catelyn to serve as sheriff in the Pitt City Guard. At first, Caitlin refuses, but eventually realizes that with the resources of the Leather City Guards, she may be one step closer to the mysterious "C", the only one who has slipped through the net in the case of her family's attack.
Caitlin is now a revered chief of the Piltover Guardians, guarding order in the City of Progress - with a focus on fanatical craftsmen who dare to challenge the boundaries of Hextech. She has recently found a new partner from Zaun, the impatient and reckless Vi. How this incredible duo came to be, and why they were so effective, has been the talk of their colleagues after three rounds of drinking, and even the suspects they sent to prison were curious.
By the time the Gates of the Sun had closed, the bells had struck three times, but Piltover was still bustling with activity—causing her a lot of trouble. Caitlin brisked along Clockwork Walk, weaving through the midnight crowds, not having time to admire the sleekly cafés and taverns along the streets. The dinner clubs were closing, and the theater in the nearby painter's playground was also closed, so the street soon became very crowded. If they can't catch Dwaki in a matter of minutes, they've already let him slip.
"See him?" shouted Muhan from behind.
"If I had seen it, he would have a hole in his head. ”
Caitlin had her Hextech rifle on her shoulder, loaded and ready to fire, but she needed to find her target first, and the Dwaki at hand was slippery than a loach. He had already robbed three of his family's workshops (three had been discovered so far) in less than five weeks. Caitlin suspects that he is also involved in two other cases. Her instincts told her that there must be some bigger conspiracy behind this, so she and Mohan had been keeping an eye on the Murridge family's workshop, and sure enough, Dwaki appeared. But they found him far away, as city lighting workers were lighting street lamps on the street, and Caitlin recognized Dewaki by the reflection in the glass of the coffee shop across the street. At the moment of eye contact, Dwaki recognized Caitlin as well, and began to run like a frightened dock mouse.
Caitlin slid sideways and made a sharp stop at the intersection. Overhead, the flames in the glass cover of the street lamp emitted a warm and soft light, reflecting the surprised expressions of the pedestrians around them. Her light blue eyes scanned back and forth over each of them, looking for the silhouette of Dwaki.
A young man walked across the street towards her, ruddy and radiant, and he beckoned to Caitlin.
"Are you chasing someone?" he asked. "A guy with a big hat?"
"Yes," Caitlyn said. "Did you see him, where did he go?"
The young man pointed to the left and said, "Go that way, you can run faster." ”
Caitlin followed his gaze and saw the jubilant theater crowd pouring out from the direction of the painter's playground, interspersed with drink vendors and street-gazing street girls. Muhan finally caught up, sweating profusely and out of breath. He was hunched over with his hands on his knees, his blue uniform staggering, and his hat scraped to the back of his head.
"I said he would hide in the crowd. He interjected in the gap of breath.
Caitlin glanced at the enthusiastic passerby in front of her. The clothes on his body were made of the finest fabrics, tailor-made, and must have cost a lot, but the cuffs and elbows were worn out. Her gaze was skeptical, it was the color of last season, and the neckline was a year old.
He's a rich man, but he's lost the limelight.
Muhan turned in the direction of the crowd and said, "Go, Caitlin! ”
Caitlin crouched down on one knee and looked down at the street from another angle. The cobblestone road was slippery due to the evening drizzle, and the pavement was full of footprints. From this angle, she found a string of heavy heel imprints on the cobblestone surface, the kind of footprints that only fast runners would leave behind. However, the footprints did not go to the left, but to the right.
"How much money did Dwaki give you to talk nonsense?" Caitlyn asked the outdatedly dressed young man in front of her, "If you don't have a sea of gold, you'll lose a lot." ”
The young man held up a hand and said proudly, "Five pieces, actually." As soon as he finished speaking, he turned his head and ran, laughing and getting into the crowd.
"What are you doing...?" said Muhan, and before Caitlyn could finish speaking, she turned and ran the other way. She may have missed a few precious seconds, but she knew exactly where Dwaki was going by now. She soon left Muhan behind, a gourmet, and every time the governor of the region brought his wife's homemade snacks to the guests, he was one of the most enjoyable eaters.
