161 Ancient Road

A white "flying bird" is released by a black-haired boy in the tower of a beautiful castle and soars into the night and flapps its wings towards the north.

As the sun rises and sets, it occasionally falls to the ground and pecks at some of the grains and grass seeds that remain on the surface of the ground with its beak, which does not make it eat anything, but seems to feed its stomach pouch.

It also lands in front of lakes and streams to drink, but this behavior seems to be of little use other than soaking its entire body with a heavy soaking that seriously affects its flight - it doesn't seem to have ever succeeded in drinking a drop of water at all.

However, this does not prevent "Flying Bird" from continuing to soar in this strange and familiar world.

It seems that there is a special power in its body that allows it to keep alive without fear of dying of thirst and starvation, and from the instinctive memory that it has to find a home, and then it needs to feed the children it has placed in its nest, an instinct that is engraved in the deepest part of its soul - it must feed them to adulthood.

And so it kept flying, over the mountains, over the wilderness, over the towns, over the farmlands...... It wasn't until the vast and beautiful sea suddenly appeared in its "sight" that a familiar feeling arose.

It knew that its home was not far away, which made it more and more excited, and its flapping wings became more and more powerful.

It's just that it's not easy to fly over the ocean for a long time, and it's also very tiring, so when it sees some ships on the sea, it changes direction slightly and prepares to go there to rest.

But as soon as it got closer, an arrow suddenly shot from the ship, and instantly nailed its wings to the wood!

It wailed and wept as it wried, trying to break free of its wings and hurry back to its home to escape the dangers of the world.

Unfortunately, its struggles were to no avail.

The arrows that held its wings were strong, and the constant struggle did nothing but make it feel pain and weaken it.

Eventually, it could only watch itself being bitten in the mouth by a human, and it was grabbed by a human and handed to another human.

It had seen many people before, but they were all very wary of it, and at this time they didn't seem afraid of it running away...... This is normal, its wings are broken, how can it escape?

But even so, it still didn't give up struggling.

It doesn't want to be eaten as food by these evil humans, or tortured to death as a toy, it wants to be back in the blue sky, to return to the nest as soon as possible, and to feed its children.

Its struggle succeeded, it managed to break free from the rough grip of the human, but the damage to its wings caused it to fall involuntarily to the surface of the ship, and it was desperate about it, and something more desperate happened later.

It was grabbed by the human, and-

It was pinched and blown out of the head!

The survival instinct caused it to be terrified of death, but then it found that it was not really dead, but had become a special being, integrated into the human body that had pinched itself to death.

It can feel all the thoughts of this human being, and at the same time it is quickly infected, changed, and shaped by these thoughts...... It began to understand what the ancient way was, it began to understand the burning, killing and plundering of human beings, and it began to be occupied by them.

And everything that used to be was washed away more and more faintly and inconspicuously, and the children who had been missing it were quickly forgotten into the corners of their memories by it.

It has become an ancient way, or rather, it has become a way of burning, killing and plundering, and the way of the jungle.

It was influenced by this human, but this human seemed to have changed because of it, and the human began to make up his mind to go to an island to grab something so that he could go back and improve the living conditions of his family.

Man succeeded, but he also failed.

Because he broke the rules, he was beheaded.

Living in this human body, it also faces this threat of death, but at this time it no longer has the fear of death, or rather, it no longer knows what fear is, at this time it is just the ancient way, and the ancient way is it.

So when it realized that it had not dissipated because of the death of the human, it directly burrowed out of the human's body and rushed towards the other human who had defeated the human.

The ancient way is that only the weak will be killed, and the murderer is naturally the strong.

The ancient road likes the strong.

It later discovered that the newly possessed human was indeed a strong man, and his mind was perfectly synchronized with it, so that it grew rapidly in the human body, which was still very weak.

What humans do invisibly nourishes it, and it complements this humanity as it grows, and it seems to be a healthy cycle.

It felt that if it could keep going like this, it would become stronger, more fearless, and even - it would take over the whole world!

It's just that a somewhat familiar boy who appeared later made its "self-confidence" wiped out.

It's torn!

It was split into two halves, half still lingering in the human body, and the other half was involuntarily ingested and controlled by the boy, and the half of its will was completely torn to pieces without resistance in front of the boy—the half of it was gone.

The only half left made it feel all this, and it was terrified of it, and even more desperate to find that even though the separated half was no longer able to feel it, it was still conditioned by that half!

Thus half of the nutrients that man has supplied to it, and although it is still closely connected with man, it finds that another will locks it up, and its thoughts, its past, its very existence, everything, are all hidden in the face of that will!

It desperately wants to struggle, but it doesn't know how to struggle, it doesn't know what the will is, but it seems to be a human being, because when the will takes possession of itself, it faintly "hears" a communication language that only humans have.

"What has become of this? Power Seeds? ”

It doesn't understand this, and although it has learned something about humans since it possessed the human body, it is not really life, or it has lost its original life.

It is no longer a bird, it is an ancient way, a way to burn and plunder.

However, when the ancient road was subjugated and became a slave, then is it still the ancient way?

The thought made it "unwilling", but then it completely forgot all about it, it was no longer able to perceive the existence of the will, and it was completely unaware that the possessed humans were providing it with less than half the nutrients it once had.

There is a gap in its "memory", and its existence is torn apart, but it does not consider itself incomplete at all, or rather, it is an ancient way, a perfect way, how can it be incomplete?

It's still growing, it's still making up, it's still believing that it's going to take over the world—

Because this world is inherently predatory.
