Chapter 43: Unmanned Elevators
Behind me there was the sound of chopsticks shattering to the ground, and I was blocked in the entrance with the closed door in front of me.
Red warned me that no matter what happened, I couldn't take a step out of the house.
When I looked back, the thing had broken free from the debris all over the ground, and crawled towards me with a fierce look, as if it was going to eat me alive.
I'm afraid this thing smells of burning, and I'm afraid it's here to lure me out.
I guess that as long as I go out this door today, something must be waiting for me outside.
Outside the window, a cold wind blew in, hitting the body like a knife, faintly painful. Some of the wind that can't be poured in can only blow on the window panels, making a sound like a ghost crying wolf.
There was a burning stinging sensation in my ankle, and blood dripped down my foot, and I even felt that if I didn't bandage this foot quickly, I was afraid that it would be useless in the future.
It didn't take long for the thing to crawl in front of me, its lips grinning open, a few blood stains sticking to its chin, and a rotting stench coming to its nose.
It was closing in on me, my back firmly pressed against the dark brown door, and there was no way to retreat.
Seeing that it had a tendency to pounce on me, my calf and stomach instantly spasmed, and I was so frightened that I couldn't care about anything, so I pulled the doorknob and ran down the dark corridor.
The hallway was colder than the room, and I closed the door with my backhand and locked the thing inside, even though I knew it wouldn't help.
The voice-activated light must be broken, I called a few times, and it kept going off. The hallway was dark and I couldn't see my fingers, and I wanted to pull my phone out of my pocket, after all, it had an attached flashlight. But a pair of hands tossed in two pockets for a long time, and nothing was found.
I probably left my phone at home and didn't bring it out, thinking like this, I looked back at the door again, and there was no sign of the thing chasing it out.
I breathed a sigh of relief, leaned against the wall, and walked forward in the dark.
The lights on this floor are all off, whether it is really broken, or if there is some other reason, I don't know.
I made it all the way to the end of the floor, and finally I saw the light on the elevator indicator at the bottom, dimly illuminating a small area.
I didn't hear Xiaohong's voice all the way, or even saw her trace. It stands to reason that her skin is very white, and she is easily recognizable even at night, and as long as she is here, I will be able to see her.
The wound on my foot was blown by the wind, and I limped to the elevator door like a cripple, and looked down at the wound on my foot by the faint light.
When the thing grabbed my ankle before, its nails were sinking into the flesh.
The light was not bright, and I could only faintly see the blood-red flesh of the wound turning out, and the wound was a little hideous.
Suddenly, there was a sound in the elevator in front of him, and the elevator doors slowly pushed open to both sides.
I froze, and subconsciously looked up to see someone.
The quiet pin drop can be heard all around, and the sound of the elevator door opening is particularly abrupt. The lights in the elevator flickered from moment to moment, making this narrow, boxy space even more breathless.
Strangely, there was no one in it.
The elevator was mirrored, and I saw that my face was reflected in the distance, and the flickering lights illuminated my face a little penetrating.
