Chapter 5: The Second Day
Early in the morning, Detective Sherlock Hanks, who had been working overtime at the police station all night, was woken up by the glare sunlight that he had become accustomed to. Although he was still wearing a black trench coat that he hadn't changed, he was tall and handsome, and he didn't lose points at all because of his clothes.
In fact, just looking at his appearance, Hanks is obviously more like a model, except for the famous Sherlock Holmes detective, no one can tell that he is a well-trained and experienced detective.
It's obviously been a busy morning, though. As soon as he woke up and opened the door of the office, he was caught up by his agent Harvey: "Inspector Hanks, there is an emergency, just now the street called the police, and a resident said that a lot of corpses were found at the entrance of 59th Street!" ”
"Let's go!" Without saying much, Hanks immediately rushed to the scene of the incident with his men.
Turning on the police lights all the way to the entrance of 59th Street, Hanks looked at the residents who were taking pictures with their mobile phones around and the media whose spotlights kept flashing, and walked down the alley without saying a word.
Before he had taken a few steps, he saw several corpses piled up in the alley.
Hanks frowned.
As an experienced detective, especially working in Hell's Kitchen, he is no stranger to this situation. The reason for the frown was not because of the tragic condition of the corpse, in fact, he had seen it all the more disgusting and terrible.
The reason why he frowned was because this case was a bit tricky.
Every place has its own unspoken rules.
Hell's Kitchen is the darker side of New York, but it's also the most attractive paradise in Manhattan. This is the first time Hanks has seen a blatant body thrown at the entrance of an alley and found by residents.
"What did we learn?" The eyebrows have not been stretched, as if they have foreseen the media outside that have been noisy, and the relevant news that can be seen when you turn on the TV.
If there is anything dissatisfied with the life of the 21st world, Hanks thinks that the Internet is too developed. A media blockade is simply not realistic at this time, or it is too costly.
"It's Clough's gang, the Russian gangsters, the bosses of the neighborhood. I often rob in the neighborhood, and I am a repeat offender, because they are very united, so they dare not call the police at all when they are robbed. And ......" Agent Harvey subconsciously looked around, and said in a low voice: "There is news that the missing persons incident in several streets nearby for a period of time are related to them. ”
Hanks didn't say anything about Harvey's last words. Walk quickly to the corpse and ask the medical staff, "Is there a result?" ”
"There were seven corpses in total, including Clough, and the others were his men. Because this is their old nest, there are usually no outsiders coming, so I didn't find out until this morning. It was preliminarily judged that the time of the crime occurred last night, and the specific time still needs to wait for further identification by the forensic doctor. ”
"Turf?" Hanks spoke first.
"It's not." Detective Harvey added, "Hanks' lair is around here, and we've been there. Nothing was destroyed in it. If it is a land grab, at least the money in it will definitely be taken. ”
After a pause, Detective Harvey looked at the report and hesitated to speak: "There were a total of six bullet shots, but no bullets were found. And after probing, we found that all of them had been shot by Clough's gang, and ......" handed the report to Hanks, who added in a surprised tone, "And five of these people were killed by a single blow, and only two of them showed signs of being attacked twice." We initially suspect that the mutants did it. "After all, it's not a small amount of strength to kill a person with a single blow. This is not a martial arts attack technique, but a pure use of power to kill people.
Flipping through the documents, he found that the contents of the documents were basically similar to what Detective Harvey had described, so Hanks didn't read any more.
Stepping forward, putting on his gloves, he leaned down to take a closer look at Clough's body.
He had also met this little boss a few times at the police station, so he was a little impressed.
Now Clough didn't have the arrogant appearance in his impression, and there was still a look of fear and pleading on his face.
After carefully examining the body for a while, Hanks stood up and walked outside: "First of all, find the bullets that you didn't find as soon as possible." Fingerprint the strength, especially Clough, who was pinched to death by someone's armrest, so there should still be a drop of the murderer's cortex. Analyze the DNA to see if there are any results; Investigate nearby surveillance footage to see if there is any information available; Investigate if they have offended anyone lately; And also...... Escalate to a more senior department. ”
"Okay." Detective Harvey nodded, in remembrance.
"Send someone to keep an eye on here, maybe the murderer will come back here again." Getting into the police car, Hanks added one last sentence. But he didn't know that the real murderer was now walking on his way to school. By the way, think about the next plan.
"Hey! Buddy! At the same time, the murderer in the detective's heart had just walked to the school gate when he saw a limousine parked right in front of him.
The car door opened, and a teenager in a casual suit got out of the car and said hello to him.
The teenager was a typical representative of the American upper class, an excellent imperial heir, without a trace of wrinkled clothes on his body, and his blond-brown hair was meticulously combed behind his head. You can see the shrewdness and ability from the outside.
"Morning, Harry." Andrew also smiled and said hello, and then walked to the school while chatting with him.
But as soon as Andrew walked into the school playground, he saw a group of people gathered around, not knowing what they were doing.
"Stand up, Parker!" Andrew heard such a shout.
"It's Peter!" Andrew spoke helplessly and glanced at Harry: "He must have been bullied again." With that, he ran in the direction of the crowd.
The facts are not far from Andrew's guess. Pushing through the crowd and walking to the center, sure enough, Peter was lying on the ground, and someone else was kicking him.
"Parker, you're really a bastard, and the way you look is more humble than Thompson said." Picked Peter up and prepared to punch him again.
"Stop, Fleischer!" Harry immediately rushed over and pushed Fleischer away.
"Osborne, what do you care?" As a bastard, Fleischer was more realistic than the others, so he understood the role of money better, and he was 10,000 jealous of Osborne.
"Peter is our friend, of course I do! Fleischer, what else can you do but bully the weak? Andrew stepped forward as well and checked to see if Peter was hurt.
"Yo, isn't that our best bowler in New York, Andrew Watson? How could it be here? Isn't it time to sweat it out at the stadium and enjoy the cheers of the fans? When Fleischer saw Andrew, he immediately became energetic. Compared to Harry, he is not afraid of Andrew: "Sure enough, weak chickens will only hang out with weak chickens, what bullshit is best, it's useless!" As he spoke, he snorted.
"So you can only find something to do with your words." Andrew said calmly. Looking at Fleischer is like looking at a speck of dust.
And Andrew's expression also angered Fleischer, and he rushed to Andrew's face quickly and punched!
"Then I'll show you what I'm capable of!"
"Not so good!" Immediately jumping to the side, Andrew dodged Fleischer, and then said as if Peter was possessed while parrying his continued attack: "Generally speaking, there are only three reasons to bully the weak!" ”
"First of all, there may be a little girl who is insecure hidden under his strong body...... It's like this. He leaned sideways to Fleischer's side, and arched Fleischer to his feet.
"Hahahaha!"
"Hahaha!"
All the onlookers laughed.
"You guy!" Fleischer's face flushed instantly, and he angrily sped up to continue throwing punches at Andrew.
"Second, it may be that his brain did not evolve well when he was growing up. It's still the IQ of an ape. Like now, nothing but punching. Bow your head and dodge Fleischer's sweep: "There is no brain control, only a reckless rush." ”
"And then the third point." Grabbing Fleischer's hand, he was followed by an over-the-shoulder throw that threw him to the ground. Fleischer tried to get up, but was thrown too hard and couldn't.
"Maybe the second child is too young and has a little inferiority."
