Chuhui County is an ancient and magical place, is a place that can make people daze, the spiritual mountains and clear water, the long ancient road, the century-old trees, the beautiful scenery of the tulou, all quiet and transcendent. Ancient cobblestone paths crisscross and weave, soaked in mystery and vastness in silence.

Strolling on the thousand-year-old plank road of Yueyunkeng, a large area of ancient banyan trees along the road is intertwined, verdant and charming, graceful and magnificent. The tulou group at the foot of the mountain is like a game of chess left by the immortals, large and small, square and round, and like mushrooms emerging from the ground, and the flying saucer falling from the sky.

A breeze blew, the earthy smell of the tulou came to the face, the mottled walls were solidified with the calluses of the wind and frost years, and a few handfuls of wild grass in the corner of the wall were the long whiskers of its fairy wind bones. It is so upright and tough, always wearing a solemn black felt hat, like wine, the older it gets, the more fragrant it is, and the more delicious it is.

In Danyan's childhood memories, the tulou of Yueyunkeng is like a lot of fruit on a vine, even if you go out on a rainy day, you won't get wet if you don't walk around Yueyunkeng without an umbrella.

The plain and ordinary path connects the tulou together, long or curved, wide or narrow, it is the root of the tulou, entwined in the earth, chopping continuously; It is the tendon of the tulou, wrapped in the tulou and cannot be cut; It is like the blood of the tulou, scattered among the tulou, and cannot be erased.

Now Dan Yan took Shi Kang to walk on the path, stepping on every bluestone slab over and over again, awakening many dusty stories, integrating into the artistic conception of this dust, and covering himself with antique fragrance.

They walked along the old houses in the ancient alleys, crossed the wooden bridges, and came to the front of Heshun Building, the most bookish tulou in Yueyunkeng, and also the place where Danyan lived since childhood. The couplet of Heshun Building is written by the grandfather of Danyan, "Round Building Baozhai Taixing Protection, Xuan Huohongmen Happiness Pro."

My grandfather was a teacher in Heshunlou School, and the Hakka people have always attached great importance to cultural education, so my grandfather had a high reputation in this area, and my grandfather often brought students to the stone pen to pay respects and encourage them to follow the example of their ancestors to study.

Stone pen, the ancient name of "slander wood", after some people in the clan won the fame of the above science field, they are all outside the pond in front of the ancestral hall along both sides of the menhir pen pair, it is a symbol of fame, status and glory, according to the level of lifting, the grade and the level of civil and military are different, the length of the stone pen, the style of the base and the carving of the pen body are different. The top of the flagpole of the civil official is a stone carving of the tail of the pen, while the stone carving at the top of the flagpole of the military attache is a lion.

Although Heshun Building has gone through more than 160 years of wind and rain, it is still like a mountain. There is a four-meter-wide moat around the building, and there is a suspension bridge in front of the door, Dan Yan held Shi Kang to enter through the side door, Shi Kang asked puzzledly, "Obviously there is a gate in the middle, why do you want to go through the small door?" ”

Dan Yan smiled, "The middle door is usually not opened, and only when the distinguished guests come, the middle door is opened to greet them." ”

Nearly timid, Dan Yan vaguely remembers the words that her brothers and sisters taught her to read when she was a child, "Four floors high, four circles of buildings, four hundred rooms up and down; The circle in the circle, the trap in the circle, has gone through the vicissitudes of life for 300 years".

Heshun building covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters, there is an 18-meter-wide sun-flat outside the gatehouse, a 36-meter-wide semicircular fish pond, and the hillside behind the main building is an orchard. The middle is the ancestral hall, the ground floor of the outer ring, the second floor does not open the window, the ground floor is the kitchen, the well, the dining room, the stable, the pig and cow shed, the second floor is the barn, the grain processing room, the account room, the mill, the firewood room, the third and fourth floors are the bedrooms, toilets, and the facilities are readily available. Each room on the fourth floor has a balcony more than 3 meters wide at the back, and a large balcony on the roof. In the second half of the house, there is a strong underground spring due to the mountain, and there is a well next to the stove in the kitchen on the ground floor, and the depth of the well is only one meter. It can be scooped with a long water scoop, and the wellhead can also be covered, so it is very convenient to take water.

There is a 2-storey high transept on the east and west sides of the building, half-moon shaped, brick and wood structure, one is a school, the other is a silk cigarette knife processing workshop, all of which are enclosed by brick walls and the courtyard is self-contained, each with an arch to communicate with the side door of the outer ring of the building. It is really "a door in the door, a building in the building, overlapping and overlapping", and the locals call it "the building building".
