Chapter 15: Lockmodan
Xu Mo looked sideways at Wen Leisa and Brigitte in the distance, and in the dark red vision of the infrared, the two sat quietly on the back of the griffin, and did not quarrel as much as they did at the beginning.
Xu Mo nodded with satisfaction, today was the third day after their departure. During these three days, they went out day and night, resting early in the morning and taking off in the afternoon. Although they are sometimes attacked by wild beasts during the day, good hiding places and strict vigilance have allowed them to avoid most dangers.
A day earlier, they had bypassed the Blackstone Tower and entered the desolate lands to the east. The Badlands were once part of Kazmodan, a verdant valley basin rich in natural resources. But with the first invasion of the Burning Legion, the magic of the demons scorched the land, turning it into what it is today - a barren land.
The barren land is barren all year round, and even the breeze that occasionally blows through the valley basin carries a hot heatwave, and only the most tenacious greens such as cacti and bushes can survive in this scorching heat.
The barren terrain is stable but rocky, and the mountains to the north block the cool air from Lokmodan. The canyons are full of fire ants, scorpions, and evil humanoids.
Camping and resting in this kind of place during the day made the stalker and elf game not dare to slack off at all, and even Xu Mo asked the mage to set up a few magic traps with his gadgets.
Luckily, these magic traps didn't work in the end, and by tonight, they'd be out of the middle of nowhere early tomorrow morning, where they could camp on the shores of the freshwater lake at Lokmodan.
The high tension and reversal of day and night in the past three days made all four people, except for the dwarf girl Amira, look exhausted. Even with Xu Mo's day and night spurs, the whole team was still a little unrefreshed.
Amira is very accustomed to the current life, the dwarves of the Brute Hammer tribe have been with griffons all year round, and the dwarven girls can still sleep soundly on the back of the griffin. It is admirable that even when she sleeps, she can still hold the reins of the griffin tightly in her hands. It's a riding technique that's already built into the body's instincts, and few others can't learn it.
In fact, except for Xu Mo, the other members of this team didn't have much experience as scouts. Bridget was a knight who was accustomed to charge combat and group combat. As a ranger, Wen Leisha was trained as a scout scout, which was the main reason why the Mage Council entrusted her to assist Ronin, but unfortunately the female elf was a ranger who had just changed careers, and her actual combat experience was equal to zero.
As for the nerdy mage, oh, don't mention it. In the past three days, Xu Mo felt that he was the squad leader of a recruit squad, not only to perform tasks, but also to teach a few recruits, and take care of their food, drink and Lazar by the way. What the Stalker didn't know, of course, was that he was now in the eyes of the other three people, and had become a demon with horns on his head and pus on the soles of his feet.
As the first rays of dawn shone on the feathers of the griffin's neck, Xu Mo and the others finally crossed the northern end of the barren mountains and saw the huge freshwater lake of Lockmodan, shrouded in the early morning mist. The geography of the two places is very different from that of the adjacent barren land, and the power of nature is truly amazing.
Located beneath the Ironforge Mountains, Rokmodan is the traditional sphere of influence of the Copperbeard Tribe, with the Wilderness Wetlands to the north. Frank Ron Cast Iron, the great architect of the Black Iron Dwarves, built a megalithic dam north of Lokmodan. The dam stores melt snow from the Iron Furnace Mountains, creating Lake Locke, the largest freshwater lake in Azeroth.
The cold air blowing from the Iron Furnace Mountains brought constant rainfall to Lokmodan, keeping the land lush with flowers and plants. Although the warm currents from the eastern ocean keep the lake from freezing, it is still bitterly cold in the early morning and night.
Loch Loch is vast and in the heart of Lok Mordan, occupying a large part of the area. The lake is dotted with three large islands. Most of the buildings on the island were abandoned during the war, leaving only ruins in which stone palatins and crocodiles can occasionally be seen. The lake is surrounded by numerous hills, and green trees cover the entire area.
Lake Locke is rich in aquatic products, there are many fish, and there are many predators in the surrounding wooded areas of the lake, such as black bears and plesiosaurs. The hilly terrain around Loch Loch is rich in timber and precious metals. The dwarves of the Copperbeard Tribe fish, mine and log here, gathering resources on a large scale, and this is the largest source of income for Ironforge.
The surface of the lake is shrouded in a layer of mist all year round, and sunlight rarely penetrates the fog. In the mist, the swaying branches of the woods by the lake, the colorful light reflected by the sunlight in the mist, and the small animals in the fog combine into a magical world as beautiful as a dream.
Forced to land on the edge of the lake, Xu Mo jumped off the griffin and climbed a hillside to carefully observe the surroundings. After a while, when he turned around, he found that everyone at the bottom of the hill had fallen asleep.
The two beautiful girls lay face to face, Bridget's hand was on the pointed ears of the elven ranger, and a long leg straddled Wen Lesa's waist, revealing a snow-white thigh skin under the chainmail battle skirt that was lifted without noticing. Wen Leisa's sleeping appearance is quite ladylike, but the small hand that protects her chest is inadvertently pressed against Bridget's towering twin peaks.
After the sad Luo Ning landed this time, he couldn't climb out of the hanging basket, and directly curled up in the narrow hanging basket and fell asleep, or maybe he was already asleep in the air. The sleeping mage hiccups from time to time, and a trace of sparkling saliva hung on the corner of his mouth, which made Xu Mo a little worried about whether the aerial roller coaster in the past few days would leave an indelible psychological shadow on him.
Amira Brute Hammer was the most cozy, sleeping on the griffin's warm belly, blowing snot bubbles, and still having fragments of tortillas in the corners of her mouth. She is the only member of the party who is able to eat and drink on the griffin's back at night and sleep with the griffin in her arms during the day without getting her head scratched by the griffon.
Xu Mo smiled slightly, walked down the hill, tied the reins of the two griffins to the big tree, took out the blankets from the griffins' backs, and covered them with several people. Two small basins filled with some jerky and water were placed in front of the two griffins, while a packet of gray powder was taken out of the mage's hanging basket and scattered around the group.
This is the dragon droppings carried by the mage, which can effectively repel poisonous insects, mosquitoes and ants. After doing all this, Xu Mo returned to the hillside, sat down incognito, and quietly closed his eyes to rest.
In fact, Xu Mo was self-aware, he was not a phantom stalker at all. His monitoring and vigilance of his surroundings is different from that of a true Stalker in Azeroth, nor is it like an Elven Ranger. He anticipates danger through the samsaric person's perceptual ability, and as long as the spirit is not completely relaxed, the soul imprint will naturally alert him when danger comes.
Ever since Xu Mo was buried alive by the grass planting team once in real-world Japan, he began to deliberately exercise his vigilance. Even in his sleep, he doesn't ignore the hints he perceives. Compared to Xu Mo, who had just entered the space, he was now a real all-round warrior, and aside from the ability of the reincarnation, he was no worse than an elite special soldier who had experienced a hundred battles.
"Oh~~~" Wen Lesa woke up with sleepy eyes and blinked blankly. As she slowly woke up, she noticed that there was a pretty face in front of her, and Bridget's sensual red lips almost kissed her cherry mouth.
"Ahh The Elven Ranger came to her senses, but she only let out a half-exclamation, and she covered her mouth tightly. Then a woman's fresh body fragrance immediately rushed from the palm of her hand into her nostrils, and Wen Leisha quickly realized that it was not her body fragrance, and of course remembered where her little hand was originally placed.
The elven ranger's face flushed, and he quickly turned his head to look around, and found that there was no one around, so he secretly breathed a sigh of relief, gently lifted Bridget's thighs across his body, and crept up.
Bridget's long eyelashes twitched, and her lips smacked, as if she was remembering something delicious. Thinking of her rival's red lips almost clinging to her small mouth just now, Wen Leisha couldn't help grinding her teeth with hatred.
Looking at the sleeping Bridget, the elven ranger's eyes rolled, a narrow smile appeared on his face, and he squatted down and lifted the hem of the beautiful knight's battle skirt. "Smack!" got it, and slapped it hard on the white and tender huge ass of the dead enemy.
"Hee-hee!" Winnesa stood up, her hands on her hips, and a smirk.
"Smack!" The soft sound of something hitting the ground came from behind the Elven Ranger, causing her smile to freeze on her face.
