This time he really did.
Ike worked extensively with himself and his own alternate reality mirrors, and finally took control of and repaired the rift he had torn in real space.
Eventually, Ike harnessed the space-time power of the shattered crystal through a device that allowed him to manipulate it for a brief period of time, at least in theory. Before he could test the latest changes, his friends clamored to pull him to climb the Old Hungry to celebrate his name day, and Ike set off with his gadget.
They climbed over various obstacles to the old clock tower "Old Hungry Ghost" in the old town of Zu'an, and began to climb upwards, stopping to draw a shitty caricature or two of famous leather guys. Just as they were about to reach the roof, one of his buddies mistakenly grabbed a loose handle and fell down. Ike instinctively activated the crystal device, and the movements were as skilful as if he had practiced hundreds of times. The world around him shattered, and he himself traveled back to the moment through the torrent of particles of time.
The hairs on his arms stood on end from the static electricity. He was dizzy. Then he saw his companion reach for the loose handle, about to repeat the mistake that had cost him his life. The handle snapped under the boy's weight, but Ike reached in mid-air and grabbed his companion's collar before tossing him to a nearby rung. Unfortunately, he miscalculated the parabolic trajectory and threw his companion into the giant gear of the clock tower. Messed up.
After countless backtracks and some adjustments to the direction of the wind, Ike finally saved his friend's life. In the eyes of others, Ike relied on a god-like reaction, and he was immediately sought after. Ike told his friends about the crystals and the manipulation of time, and demanded that they swear to secrecy. Contrary to his wishes, his companions shamelessly boast about Ike's exploits, fearlessly challenging all sorts of reckless stunts. Each trial (and the countless trial-and-error behind it) made his time device (which he named the Z-drive) more stable. Ike discovers that he can steal all opponents, take down strong alchemunk bullies, and even strike up with the right lines to make a good impression on the first meeting. The only limit to use it was the limit of fatigue that his own body could withstand.
Rumors and anecdotes of Ike's reversal of time soon reached the magnates in the upper and lower cities. Victor, a revered Zuan scientist, wanted to test this unruly little genius in person, armed several of his men with powerful augmentations in an attempt to persuade the boy to serve him. And Jace, a well-known Picheng innovation scholar, is bent on catching up with the title of "Boy Who Breaks Time" and trying to crack his technology. However, Ike values his freedom and independence too much to be involved in anyone's projects. A handful of pursuers may have a chance to catch a glimpse of Ike, but their plans for a hunt can quickly come to naught, often ending awkwardly, as the Trench Kid is naturally adept at searching for their weaknesses.
Ike's wildest dream is that one day his hometown will rise to the point where the city of progress is now dwarfed. Piltover's sparkling exterior will be shrouded in the ingenuity and unapologetic courage of the Zaun people, and the gap between the two is not a privilege passed down from generation to generation, but from a simple sense of adventure. He may not have a concrete plan yet, but Ike has plenty of time to turn this dream into reality.
After all, if he can change the past, why is it so difficult to change the future?
It's a day like a year.
For Ike, this is true of his word. Everything doesn't go your way, and everything takes almost a lifetime to make up. The first was Ayouna, who nearly killed himself while crawling the old hungry ghost. The kid admired Ike so much that he insisted on climbing the side wall of the clock tower in the center of the ditch, despite the dissuasion of his friends. The first hurdle to test his skills nearly cost him his life. Thanks to Ike, the Z-drive was activated in time. The little boy screamed in terror before he fell to his death, and Ike listened to it eighteen times, and finally found the right way and position to save him.
Then there's a garbage dump in the name of the Philos family, where he's collecting tech scrap when he's surrounded by a particularly troublesome gang. They are tall and big, and the augmentations of their equipment make ugly people even uglier. Ike was surprised by their speed, and they killed him, which Ike expected. The back-up of the leather guy doesn't care about the life or death of a gutter kid like him. Luckily, he has a Z-drive, which allows him to get out of this situation where there is no escape. After dozens of regressions, he changed his strategy and pulled out his new toy: the Imbarration Flashbang. The effect of the design is to emit a dazzling flash of light when it explodes, and then suck everything that moves into the center.
But this imprisoned flashbang did not work. To be precise, it didn't work as intended. It exploded, but what happened next is interesting. Ike had invented other explosive devices, but the bomb's magical blue flame had mysteriously froze in the middle of the explosion. The center of the explosion scattered waves of turbulent blue energy, creating fragments and waves of energy that formed a magical disc that spun at turtle speed. At normal explosion speeds, these exploding projectiles are lethal enough. The orb, which had imprisoned the flash of magic, was completely frozen in the air at the end.
And then what happened was even more interesting. The sphere formed by the explosion collapsed, reconstructing itself into the original palm-sized confinement flashbang, and then flew back in Ike's direction, landing impartially in the palm of his hand like a cold wind.
"Cool," Ike thought. He regressed the moment and threw the device at the men several more times. Of course, this is due to the need for scientific validation.
When Ike finally returned home, his body was exhausted, but his spirit was still tense. The house is simple - there are only a few pieces of furniture and almost no decorations. Ike's room was just a curtain-separated corner, filled with scavenged books, recovered parts, and hidden Z-drives and imprisoned flashbangs. Today is rare that her parents will come home early at the same time, and he has something to say to them.
"Mom, Dad. He practiced his prepared dialogue against the reflection, which was looking at him across the surface of the Z-driven cylinder. "I don't want to apply to the families above, and I don't want to apply to the pretentious Leather Guy school. I'm going to stay here with you and my friends. I will never leave Zuan. ”
