Chapter Thirty-Eight: Killing
Now John is equivalent to having a "hostage" in his hand, which makes the rock dragon feel like a rat trap, especially now that the environment is dim, and he can't lock on to the target and can't use the rock breath he is good at to attack, not to mention other large-scale attacks such as tail flicking or wing flapping.
But John felt a little bit of that, too. After all, the reason for the rock dragon's reaction now is that it knows where its egg is placed but can't determine the location of the egg, so it will throw a rat trap, and although John can see where the egg is, he doesn't dare to fight the rock dragon near the dragon egg. If these two eggs were broken, John would face an angry she-dragon who had lost her child, and the rock dragon would have no scruples.
So now there is a very funny scene: John and the rock dragon in the battle are somewhat careful to avoid the dragon's nest lying on the earthen platform, lest the aftermath of the war break the two dragon eggs.
However, John still has the advantage, after all, John can see, while Rock Dragon is a blind man, and can only rely on John's footsteps to judge the position. Since this can only determine John's position and not John's movements, he can only use his claws or tail to shoot from top to bottom for each attack. This kind of vertical attack is not too easy for John to dodge, and even after dodging, John can find time to hit the claws or tail of the rock dragon twice. It's just that now John's bare hands, and the effect of his fist hitting the rock dragon with rock-hard scales is not obvious. It's a little awkward. After jumping sideways and dodging, John punched the tail of the rock dragon with his right hand, which was still on the ground, but only made a "bumper" sound on the stone, knocking off some of the debris on the scales, but it drew an angry slap from the rock dragon.
"Don't you have soul fire? use that, just use your soul fire, inject soul fire into the rock dragon's body, and don't care about his hard scales. Kamline couldn't help but say as she watched John jump left and right to dodge in the rock dragon's attack, but the counterattack didn't have a good effect.
John bent down to dodge the sudden sweep of the rock dragon's thick tail, and thought to himself, "I can't think like that, I know it's been a long time since I've tried to fight an enemy in such adversity." John smiled when he remembered the despair of facing the dancer in the Cold Valley with just a picked up sword. It's a long history, and in the subsequent rounds of reincarnation, even if she fell into her hands, only a dagger could easily deal with her, but the joy after the initial victory never appeared again.
Unexpectedly, the enemy he met here rekindled the long-buried enthusiasm in his heart.
Tumbling to dodge the swinging claws, John rolled right next to the broken obsidian greatsword. John picked up the obsidian greatsword that had broken in the middle in his hand, and swung it with the force of his feet.
Although the obsidian greatsword is very easy to break due to its lack of ductility, it is also a very hard and heavy ore in nature, and the uneven fracture surface at the front end of the pick up makes this obsidian greatsword look hideous. However, while it may seem like the obsidian greatsword is infinitely powerful, in reality, it doesn't have a sledgehammer to use against a heavily armored enemy like the rock dragon. John thought as he looked at the sparks from the rubbing of the obsidian greatsword and the dragon scales.
It's not impossible, though. Out of the corner of John's eye, he glanced at the wound on the rock dragon's neck. There, there was still an obsidian sword stuck in it. And John noticed that the rock dragon's movements began to become strange, especially when he twisted his neck towards John's position, because the sword stuck in the neck made what should have been a very normal movement extremely difficult, and with the movement of the rock dragon, the sword was inserted deeper and deeper, and the obsidian greatsword that was originally only slightly stuck between the two neck bones had been completely inserted between the neck bones. Looking at the rock dragon who no longer cared about fighting with him and was about to raise his claws to scratch his neck, John's heart moved, and when the rock dragon bent his neck in order to scratch his neck, John rushed over directly, and stabbed the hilt of the sword in his hand directly on the big sword that was still leaking outside, and completely pushed the tip of the sword inserted on it into it.
"Roar!" the rock dragon cried out in pain, having been beaten by this sudden attack, and the eggs he was protecting and the enemies he was facing had been ignored, and he just roared blindly, scratching frantically at the neck with his claws, trying to pull out the sword that had been inserted into his neck.
As he retreated, John was accidentally hit by the tail that swept over, and he crashed heavily into the stone wall and fell to the ground and rolled several times. When he shook his head and stood up, he saw the rock dragon next to him, who was already crazy, rolling over there with one paw covering his wound, and he didn't even know that the nest he was guarding had been knocked over by himself. John looked at the eggs that had rolled down from the earthen platform, one of which had been crushed by the tumbling rock dragon and scattered all over the ground, while the other had the good luck to roll away to avoid being crushed.
Soon, the frenzied rock dragon's movements became slower and slower. Without John's True Sight Eye, even a large smell of blood could be smelled by just smelling it—the rock dragon tore open the previous wound once again in the tumbling, and a large amount of blood gushed out of the wound and scattered it in the cavern.
Although the blood flowing out consumed a lot of the rock dragon's already small amount of energy and physical strength, making the rock dragon more and more out of weakness, the real fatal thing was the broken sword inserted in the middle of the rock dragon's neck bone, and it was getting deeper and deeper. As the rock dragon rolled, the broken sword had been plunged deep into the middle of the two neck bones, stabbing the fragile spinal cord. With the spinal cord amputated, the rock dragon component could not control its movements, not even the heartbeat of its beard, and could only lie there helplessly waiting to die—suffocation due to respiratory arrest, tissue necrosis due to the heart stopping teasing, or death due to bleeding. But no matter which way of death, it will lose everything that the original overlord of this land has.
John stood up and scratched his head. I didn't expect it to be such an ending in the end, and I thought that I would have a big battle with this rock dragon for three hundred rounds, and then I found a flaw to kill me with a fatal blow or something, but I didn't expect to be killed directly by myself by hitting the weak point like the ancient flying dragon.
However, to be able to kill this rock dragon, this purpose has been achieved. The next thing is to move and get a blacksmith table out. The obsidian greatsword in his hand was broken, just in time to reforge a suitable weapon from the iron ore found here and the corpse of the rock dragon lying there.
