Chapter 216: Awakening
Star Swirl's young body was reflected in her amber eyes, perhaps she had subconsciously accepted the arrangement of fate, and at the moment when her lips opened lightly, Mr. X's voice rang out again:
"Star Swirl, have you really thought about it?"
It was indeed a deliberate decision that would allow her to live in her original identity.
"It's decided, I'm going to wake up the body." She replied softly, but every word was crystal clear.
Mr. X took out the complete energy chain generated in space, as well as a cylindrical unidentified object,
"This is the Soul Vessel, and it ensures that your soul is not left elsewhere in the plane if something unexpected happens."
Star Swirl took the Soul Container and examined it in her hand, its appearance resembling a kaleidoscope. Looking inward from the opening at one end of the cylinder, the naked eye can see a symmetrical pattern, like clusters of beautiful but lifeless flowers.
"The vessel that suits my soul is a kaleidoscope." Star Swirl smiled and shook her head.
"Do you know how it works?" Mr. X asked about this suddenly.
Star Swirl asks with interest, "What is it?" β
"The number and quality of the stained glass pieces decorated in the kaleidoscope are certain, but as long as the kaleidoscope is turned and the pieces are combined in a new way, an infinite number of patterns will appear."
"Fixed elements can be re-formed into different combinations... Interesting. Star Swirl spun the kaleidoscope like a naΓ―ve child had a new toy.
After a long time, her gaze moved away from the soul container and landed on Mr. X's face: "Seriously, I don't know what the future will become. But now that you've made it this far, you'd better give it a try, right? β
Looking at the figure in front of him, she was so small and ordinary, but at this moment his heartstrings trembled. Is the mission about to be accomplished? For now, all we need is her approval.
"It's your choice, don't be distracted by others," Star Swirl was reminded in a deep voice, intentionally or unintentionally, "and of course, I'll keep my promise to keep you by my side." β
"No matter where you are?" A faint smile appears on Star Swirl's face.
Mr. X gave an affirmative answer: "I will be there anytime, anywhere." β
A heart was finally resting in her stomach, and Star Swirl closed her eyes and said in a deep voice, "I'm ready, let's get started." β
The glass hatch slowly opened, and a cold chill hit the face, and the frosted eyelashes suddenly trembled.
Star Swirl felt like she was being sent into a deep cavern, and she kept her eyes open as wide as she could, only to see that it was pitch black.
Then she felt a strange sensation in her forehead, as if a faint light and shadow had entered her eyes. In an instant, she felt her body and soul separated, and a familiar and unfamiliar voice sounded in her ears:
"You've finally made it this far..."
The voice seemed to awaken memories of Star Swirl from a long, long time ago, and countless fragments of memories flooded into her mind.
"Hum-" With a strong tinnitus, she opened her eyes, a pair of black and white eyes looked at the man next to her, her dry lips opened, and a childish voice sounded: "I... It's back. β
"Yes, you're back!" Mr. X carried the cold and small body out of the glass cabin with both hands, and saw the crystal teardrops sliding from the corners of her eyes, and there was a dull pain in his heart.
Star Swirl could feel the weakness of her body, her eyelids getting heavier and heavier enough to make her fall asleep in an instant, but she struggled to hold on, only to see the kaleidoscope-shaped soul vessel glow with a colorful glow.
Don't... She didn't have time to think about it, and her exhausted body finally fell into hibernation.
"As a result, I still failed to take in a complete soul." Lu Jingfan slowly stepped forward from outside the door and shrugged his shoulders with some regret.
"Let's go back." Mr. X quickly disappears into the secret base of the bunker with young Star Swirl in his arms, and a somewhat teasing voice comes from behind him:
"Don't patronize the kitten and forget about business."
Consciousness became clear, and Star Swirl opened her eyes, adjusting to the light around her. After being a cat for too long, I have regained my human form, and some of my body functions are not fully adaptable.
"What do you think?" Voices of concern came from my ears.
Star Swirl tries to move her fingers, but realizes that her hands and feet are not as flexible as she thought, probably because they have been frozen for too long.
"It doesn't feel like it's moving very well." Star Swirl was still startled when the voice came out of her mouth, this immature childlike voice had long since disappeared from her memory.
Now that she has changed back to the way she was when she was eight years old, she felt extremely awkward for a while. But you'll get used to it, right? Star Swirl comforted herself.
"It's been freezing for too long, and it will take a while to recover," Mr. X habitually touched the top of Star Swirl's head, "Fortunately, all aspects of his body are normal. β
"I've slept for a long time, haven't I?" Star Swirl turned her face to look out the window at the bright sunshine, and it was early summer. It seems that I have come to a strange time and space for almost a year.
"It's been three days, and the nutrition supply in the body is all dependent on infusions, so don't worry." Mr. X tucked the corners of her back for her, and seemed to be able to feel the chill on her body.
"So did the Soul Container come in handy?" There was a faint smell of moisture in his black and white eyes.
The man nodded silently, he didn't want to hide it from her anymore, and said softly: "When I woke up my body, I didn't take in a complete soul. But the container has already saved that part, it doesn't matter. β
Luckily, she didn't have a soul to fly away, remembering the nonsense that Clotho had told her to scare her before, Star Swirl slightly hooked the corners of her lips, "Can you find a chance to put the soul in the container into my body?" β
"Yes, there will be this opportunity." Mr. X gently shook her hand.
Star Swirl understood that this was not an easy task, but luckily she didn't feel anything out of the ordinary right now. As a person whose soul is not so complete, maybe it doesn't make much difference.
"What about antibodies? Haven't withdrawn yet? She seemed more anxious than anyone else.
"No hurry," the large, warm, dry hand caressed her back, "to get your body in good shape first." β
With that, Mr. X turned around and went to the kitchen. After a few moments, a scent wafted from it, and Star Swirl stretched out her little arms and legs, smiling contentedly.
