Chapter 218: The First Clue
On a quiet night, the moonlight poured like water on the bedroom floor. The electronic clock at the head of the bed shows the time: 1:23 a.m.
Star Swirl is in a deep sleep.
In front of her was a three-story house surrounded by a high wall. From a distance, the house has a large area and a large courtyard.
At this time, the lights in the house were all extinguished, and only the ever-bright lights in the courtyard still emitted a faint faint light.
The mansion seemed to have an inexplicable attraction to Star Swirl, and she opened her legs towards the door of the house.
The heavy iron door was hidden, and with a push of Star Swirl's hand, a crack was open enough to allow the petite body to slip in.
There is a lawn in front of the house, and there is a net in the corner for golf, so I guess the owner likes to play golf.
Star Swirl looked up at the balcony on the third floor, and could vaguely see a dark shadow rushing by. Her heart beat suddenly, and although she knew she was in a dream, she was still inexplicably nervous.
The door to the house was open, and Star Swirl walked into the hallway, and it was pitch black. She looked upstairs and found the only source of light, which seemed to be coming from a room on the second floor near the staircase.
Star Swirl groped in the darkness with her hands outstretched, wondering how she might relate to the house that had suddenly appeared in her dreams.
Reaching the second floor in the dark, she approached the light-filled room. When you get closer, you can see the inside through the crack in the door.
The room was about fifteen or sixteen square meters, and in the dim light, you could see the bookshelves, writing desk, and a grand piano placed in the room.
Star Swirl's gaze then falls on the pink cot in the room, where a little girl is sleeping soundly under a soft quilt.
Star Swirl slowly approached the cot, the scent of flowers wafting through the air, causing her pores to widen.
The sleeping girl breathed evenly, her long eyelashes casting a small shadow under her eyes, and she looked calm and beautiful, and Star Swirl couldn't bear to disturb her dreams.
Suddenly, there was a slight sound of footsteps outside the door, like barefoot stepping on the carpet. The bedroom door was gently pushed open, and Star Swirl immediately ducked into the shadows behind the closet.
In came a woman with smiling eyes looking at the sleeping child on the bed with love in her eyes.
"Star Swirl," the woman whispered to the child, reaching out and gently stroking the child's soft bun.
"Mom really doesn't want to leave you, she doesn't want to leave for a moment. But... Tomorrow you will wake up and you will not see me, you must be patient, we still agree that in seven days my father and I will come back with gifts. ”
The woman lowered her head and kissed the girl's forehead, crystal tears sliding down her cheeks, and after she took a deep breath, her eyes fell on the closet.
Star Swirl's eyebrows skipped, she had no reason to see herself, it was just a dream.
"Maybe you'll see this," the woman smiled softly, "I'll keep this dream forever until one day—" Her voice grew softer, and Star Swirl couldn't hear her clearly, except that her mouth was still open and closed.
She tried hard to hear what the woman was saying, but there was a dead silence in her ears.
At last, the woman closed her mouth, took out a delicate satin locket from the drawer at the head of the bed, placed it gently behind the girl's bedside, and turned to leave the room.
Soft footsteps fade into the hallway outside, and Star Swirl creeps out from behind the closet. The child on the bed was still immersed in his dreams, and the emerald green box next to the pillow was glowing with satin, which was itchy to look at.
Finally, Star Swirl reaches out and wakes up when her fingers touch the smooth, cool surface of the box.
A pale pink ceiling appears in front of her, decorated with starry motifs, "Deer Jingfan is really girly...", Star Swirl muttered to herself.
With the dream still vivid in her mind, Star Swirl stumbled out of bed and walked to her desk to find a pen and paper, ready to write it down so she wouldn't forget it tomorrow morning.
Hearing a rustling sound in the room, Mr. X knocked on the door twice, "What's wrong?" ”
"Come in." Star Swirl replied as she scribbled a few lines of crooked handwriting on the white paper with a ballpoint pen, a childish stroke that even she couldn't help but laugh at herself.
Mr. X didn't mind her childish font at all, and after reading it intently for a few seconds, a smile appeared on the corner of his lips:
"This may be the clue she left for you."
"Then we should go to the house that appeared in the dream to find clues, which is where I used to be?" Star Swirl blinked at a pair of large, childish eyes, and suddenly became sleepy.
"That's right," Mr. X nodded affirmatively, "but the house is long gone." ”
Star Swirl's face was disappointed, "So... We don't know what's left in that box. ”
"Not necessarily," Mr. X's lips curled again, "maybe your sister will know the answer." ”
"That's right!" Star Swirl clapped her hands together and said with a smile, "I didn't expect that A Lucky would have kept all of her sister's memories all along. ”
Star Swirl then enters the password "relive", waking up the AI Lucky . Lotsy's face was clearly visible on the transparent screen extending above the energy lock.
"Good evening, Star Swirl." She seemed slightly stunned, she had never been summoned since Star Swirl had returned to her childhood.
"You're a little surprised, I'm like this... It's a long story," Star Swirl said with a smile, "yes, I have a question for you. ”
"Please." Le Qi on the screen regained her previous calm expression.
"Lucky do you have any impressions of a green satin box?" Star Swirl gestured her finger to the size of the box.
AI Lucky hesitated, "Can you be more specific?" ”
"It's just... When I was a child, my parents would often leave home for a while for work and put a box next to my pillow before leaving. ”
"Wait a minute, I'm scraping data from memory." AI Lucky replied, and Star Swirl couldn't help but be glad that it worked.
A green satin box appears above the transparent screen, identical to the one Star Swirl had seen in her dreams.
"That's right! That's it, tell me what's in it. Star Swirl asked.
The box on the screen slowly opens, revealing a key lying silently inside, and this key does not appear to have anything special in its appearance.
"A key? This is the key to unlocking the place? ”
"This is the key to the locker at Xiangyang Elementary School."
