Chapter 9: Pistols and Suicide Notes
Looking at the back shell of this cold desktop computer, I felt that the back of my head was also a little cold.
It's so weird here, is there really a ghost here? What Mary saw was not a hallucination, but a real ghost?
Is there a ghost in the hospital? The thought of this made my hands tremble. I tried hard to calm myself down, but my heart beat faster. I suddenly thought of the "doctor" who was chewing on the internal organs of corpses in the morgue, the entrails that flowed out of the faucet in the laboratory, I don't know if they were animals or people, and the mysterious man who came out of nowhere and smashed me out from behind.
Oh my God, are there really ghosts in this place? No, I have to get out of here right now!
I was about to leave, but I heard what seemed to be footsteps outside.
Someone's coming? Or a ghost?
Frightened, I immediately crouched under the computer desk and turned off my flashlight.
It was pitch black and eerily quiet in this room. But the footsteps outside also disappeared, and probably the person or the ghost had gone somewhere else.
After waiting for a while, I finally got up and turned on the flashlight.
I took a flashlight and lit it up in the room. It was indeed a doctor's office, but, strangely, I didn't find a clock on the wall, so I couldn't tell what time it was, I just knew it was night. But the night seemed too long, for me. How I wish the morning sun would soon shine into this dark room, and maybe, then I would not be so timid.
I continued to search, and when I got back to my desk, I accidentally bumped into the mouse.
The mouse was knocked off by me, this is a wireless mouse, it's a bit strange, such an old desktop, but equipped with such a new device. The mouse fell to the ground, but instead of picking it up, I rummaged through the mouse pad on the table and accidentally found something.
That's a bunch of keys. Actually, that is, two, should be drawer key handles.
Holding the string of drawer keys, I frowned. Suddenly, I thought of something, so I simply dragged a chair and sat down at the doctor's desk.
Sure enough, the desk drawer was locked, and I took out one of the keys and opened one of the drawers. There's nothing of value in it, though. I took out another key and opened the drawer on the right.
I opened the drawer, picked up my flashlight, and looked inside, only to see that the top was covered with an old yellowed newspaper, and there seemed to be something wrapped underneath the newspaper.
I cautiously opened the newspaper, but when I saw what it contained, I almost screamed in fright!
What was wrapped in this newspaper was a pistol, a black pistol!
The doctor actually hid a pistol in his desk drawer? What is he going to do?
When I saw this pistol, my heart couldn't help but stir. However, I quickly calmed down, picked up the pistol, and examined it in the light of a flashlight.
It's a very old-fashioned pistol, I wonder if it's loaded or not? I didn't dare to pull the trigger and immediately put the pistol down again, but instead of putting it back in the drawer, I put it on the table.
If there is a pistol, then there must be bullets, right? Okay, look for it again.
Sure enough, underneath the newspaper, I found another row of bullets. Good guy, real guns, what is this doctor going to do, do you want to kill someone? This is a hospital, not a police station, is there any terrible monster besides doctors and patients?
Terrible monsters? I looked up at the room, and a sudden fear rose in my heart.
In addition to doctors and patients, will there really be some unknown ghosts in this scary, such as the ghost hospital in a horror movie? Like, like the "doctor" who ate the internal organs of corpses?
It dawned on me that maybe the guy who was eating the corpse's entrails in the morgue wasn't a doctor, but a ghost, or maybe he was a zombie?
I looked down again and saw the pistol and the row of bullets lying quietly on the table.
I need this pistol, yes, I need it badly right now!
This time, I didn't hesitate to load the bullet into the magazine.
However, when I did this, I was surprised myself. How did I do it, how would I know how to load the bullets? This action is almost a conditioned reflex without thinking, could it be that I already knew how to load the gun?
Now, I'm a little surprised at myself. Maybe it was my poor performance that made me feel embarrassed that I was so quick to load the bullet that it made me feel a little in awe of myself.
Well, with this thing, what ghosts am I afraid of, what zombies am I afraid of?
I picked up my pistol, gestured in my hand, and aimed it at the door. If someone does rush in, I'll give him a shot!
Oh no, but don't go off the gun. By the way, isn't there a safety bolt? Did this gun pull on the safety bolt? I put the gun down again, looked at it carefully, and unexpectedly, I actually tied the insurance to it.
Now, I can finally put my pistol in my pants pocket. I touched my right pocket, and the ring was still there. When I touched it, I couldn't help but think of Mary.
Mary must be a patient in this hospital, so in the video, the male doctor will talk to her. This male doctor should be his attending physician, what is his name?
I had to know what the name of Mary's attending doctor was so I could get more information. So, I flipped it over on my desk. However, after searching the entire desktop, I couldn't even find a business card.
Not on the table? Then look in the drawer.
So, I searched for it in the drawer again, and suddenly, behind the old newspaper, near the inside edge of the drawer, I felt something, like an envelope?
I fumbled it out, and sure enough, it was an envelope. However, probably because it was close to the inner edge of the drawer, it was almost falling into the empty space behind the drawer, and the envelope was crumpled and crumpled. The envelope was not sealed, it was folded, and I opened the envelope and pulled out an equally crumpled letter from inside.
But when I saw the letter, I was stunned.
This is not a letter, but a blank slate. Just in the middle of the white paper, in thick black ink, a line of large characters was written - "If one day I am going to leave this world, I will also take you with me!" ”
When I saw this line of words, my cold sweat came down.
It dawned on me that this piece of paper was meant to be sent to someone in this envelope. And the content of the letter turned out to be this threatening sentence!
Who is this letter intended to be written to? I looked at the envelope, and it was empty, with neither the recipient's name nor the sender's information. However, it is actually easy to guess who the sender is, and it should be the owner of this office, that is, Mary's attending doctor. But to whom was he going to send this letter? Why did he write it like that, was it a threatening letter, or, or a suicide note?
Note? The word flashed through my mind.
In that doctor's desk drawer, there was even a pistol? If this pistol is not used to kill people, nor is it used to defend oneself, is it used to kill oneself? He was going to end his life with this pistol? But before he died, did he want to take another person with him? Die with that person?
Immediately a picture came to my mind.
A male doctor in a white lab coat with a pistol in his hand slowly raised his gun and aimed it at me. A terrifying smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, and a cold word flowed from the corner of his mouth little by little.
"If one day I'm going to leave this world, I'm going to take you with me!"
Yes! I woke up and looked at the letter in my hand, stunned and motionless.
It took me a long time before I came to my senses. I tucked the letter back in its original form. I don't need to keep this thing, it's hoodoo!
Although I don't know who this doctor is going to take, at least one thing is clear to me, this doctor has a pistol in the drawer, he is a dangerous guy! I'd better get out of here quickly, if he finds out, he'll kill someone!"
Suddenly, footsteps rang out the door again. Then, there was a knock on the door!
Yes! I nervous and subconsciously raised my pistol.
Slow down, don't move! As soon as this shot goes off, I'm in trouble. Who is outside the door, is it a human, a ghost, a zombie, or the horror doctor?
Obviously, the guy outside is definitely not the male doctor, does he still need to knock on the door to enter his office? As for ghosts or zombies, there is no need to knock on the door at all. Thinking of this, I was a little relieved.
However, the knock on the door was still ringing. What to do? Shall I open the door?
No, I can't get out! If anyone finds me breaking into here with a pistol in my hand, I'm going to die!" They must have thought I was a thief or a bandit and sent me to the police!
Eventually, I chose to remain silent, put down my gun, and hid the dangerous murder weapon in my left pocket. I, on the other hand, hid behind the desk, my eyes wary of the door.
After a while, a voice came from outside the door.
"Doctor Meng, are you there?"
Dr. Meng? Could it be that Mary's attending doctor is surnamed Meng? Is this male doctor who wants to commit suicide?
I couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman, but just as I was about to hear more information, the knock on the door stopped outside, and then footsteps sounded farther and farther away.
The guy who knocked on the door outside is gone? I breathed a sigh of relief and stood up.
I know the doctor's last name, but I don't know his name yet. So, I continued to search the room, but I couldn't find anything valuable. Although this Dr. Meng was Mary's attending doctor, I could not find any information about Mary or Dr. Meng himself in his office.
After searching for a long time, I found nothing, and it didn't help to stay here any longer. So, I opened the door and crept out of the doctor's office and back into the hallway outside······
