Day and night

[Explanation]: Divination: Divination. Describes the indulgence of feasting day and night. [Idiom story]: Jing Zhong, that is, the son of Chen Guo in the Spring and Autumn Period, is a brother with Chen Xuangong.

In order to make the son born to the favored concubine the prince, Chen Xuangong killed the eldest son Yukou, who was originally the prince.

Jing Zhong was on the side of the imperial court, so he couldn't gain a foothold in Chen Guo, so he defected to Qi State. Duke Qi Huan received Jing Zhong very respectfully and worshiped him

"Qing". Jing Zhong said modestly: "I am a guest who defected to your country, and I am very grateful to be taken in by you and let me live here comfortably, how dare I be in a high position and make people laugh at me for not being satisfied!" Qi Huan Gong felt that he was very reasonable, so he was rehired

"Gongzheng", and asked him to take on the position of managing various craftsmen. However, he was still treated differently from ordinary officials.

Qi Huan often talked to him and played. This story is recorded in "Zuo Chuan: The Twenty-second Year of Zhuang Gong".

At the same time, it also records such an interesting thing: Once, when Duke Qi Huan went to Jing Zhong's house, Jing Zhong took out wine to entertain him, and Duke Huan drank very happily until it was almost dark, and called for a lamp to continue drinking.

Jing Zhong persuaded and said: "The ministers are dividing their day, but they are not sure of their night, don't dare!" (I'm only going to play with you during the day, but I don't plan to continue into the night, so I don't dare to stay with you for long!) Because of this story, it was later described as an extravagant feast, regardless of time, from day to night, and from night to day, and constantly having fun

"Day and night".
