Xu Shu had already expected it, and when Cao Ren left Fancheng, he would take advantage of the situation. As a result, Fancheng was lost. Cao Ren was defeated and retreated to Xuchang, ashamed of Cao Cao. Cao Cao said: Liu Bei must have a capable person to plan for him! Cao Cao found out that it was Xu Shu, so he wanted to trick him into staying with Xuchang. They imitated Xu Shu's mother's handwriting and wrote to Xu Shu.
