Chapter 309: Who Are You?
Star Swirl illuminates the path with her phone, striding over the blurred pile of flesh. There seemed to be some light at the end of the passage, and I don't know where it leads.
There was a loud shout in the distance, and it seemed that those who were in a hurry to flee for their lives had not been able to escape the building quickly.
Star Swirl takes a few steps forward and hears the sound of water, which turns out to be the bathroom on her left. She didn't dare to look for it in the toilet, fearing that she would see a corpse lying on the ground, so she just shone the sink at the door.
To her relief, there is also running running water. Maybe it's something left over from the water pipes. Star Swirl didn't dare to look in the mirror with her phone, but just picked up cold water in both hands to wash her blood-stained face, wondering whose blood had just been splashed.
After ten minutes of washing, I felt like I was going to wash my skin. Star Swirl tries to illuminate her face in the mirror with her phone, and in the dark, leaky bathroom, the faint screen of her phone illuminates the face of a long-haired girl, reminding her of the woman combing her hair in the mirror in a Japanese horror movie.
She saw a pair of frightened eyes, so strange and terrible, and her face was as pale as a dead man. Her tiny fingers touched her face, clinging to the wet hair on her forehead, revealing a faint sense of bewitchment.
No, it's not yourself!
She hung her head in pain, what happened in just ten minutes? Star Swirl glanced at her phone's screen, but there was still no signal.
A few people ran past in a panic and rushed to the end of the passage, so that the light was concentrated in that place. Maybe it's the exit, and everyone wants to get out as soon as possible.
Star Swirl suddenly felt a pain in her back, and when she touched it with her hand, it was covered in blood, and she suddenly realized that she was bleeding.
Turning to the side, a number of broken glass ballasts were found on the side of the arm near the back. Probably during the fall of the elevator, the glass windows shattered, and some of the splinters pierced her.
Star Swirl subconsciously hugged her shoulders, it was damp and cold, and she didn't know which floor they were on the Sky Ladder Building, maybe they were trapped underground.
Two or three men found tools out of nowhere, trying with all their might to dig up the rubble at the end of the passage.
Suddenly, Star Swirl notices that one of the men is familiar, and the man in his twenties is struggling to dig through the passage under the emergency lights.
She remembered that she had just hugged the man who was showing affection to her girlfriend in the elevator as if no one was around. However, just as the elevator fell between the floors, he cowardly left his girlfriend and ran alone, only to have her poor girlfriend fall into the endless abyss at the end.
Star Swirl didn't have the heart to join in the fun, and she didn't know she had the strength. She took her phone and went into the corner. The hair on his forehead was still wet, and he was shivering with cold, and his only wish at the moment was to take a hot bath.
Suddenly, there is a deafening sound at the end of the illuminated passageway, followed by several panicked screams, and Star Swirl feels black and limp as the emergency lights go out.
The body was still falling, and a vague light source appeared in front of him, emitting a shallow golden halo, constantly gathering and spreading, and there seemed to be a familiar figure behind the halo.
"What is your wish?" A voice that seemed to come from another world fluttered into Star Swirl's ears.
---
She opened her eyes and found herself walking in a dark hallway, the mottled walls in tatters.
"Where is this? Why am I here? Star Swirl looks blankly around at a hallway leading nowhere, with surveillance cameras hanging from the ceiling focused on her.
Star Swirl held her head and struggled to remember why she was there, but no matter how hard she wrestled, she could only remember the fragments that remained in her mind.
As far back as she remembers walking through the doors of a hospital alone.
"Could it be that this is a hospital? Why not a single one? Star Swirl walked forward, the only echo of her footsteps in the silent hallway.
At the end of the corridor was a hidden door, on which were carved a few lines:
"Who are you?
This question needs to be confirmed by yourself.
What you are,
Or what you expect to be,
As long as you understand this,
The doors will naturally open for you. ”
Star Swirl didn't understand what this was trying to say, but after reading it, a strange feeling sprung up in her heart. What's going to be behind this door in front of you? Is it an exit to the outside world or a labyrinth with no end in sight?
She stretched out her hand and gently pushed, and the wooden door creaked open.
It's just an ordinary room, with a wooden desk and bookcase, and it looks like it's supposed to be a study.
Star Swirl cautiously walked in, and the computer screen on her desk immediately lit up.
A line of small words slowly appeared on the screen: "What's your name?" ”
Star Swirl was surprised that there was no one else in the room, who was remotely controlling the computer and trying to talk to her. Looking at the flickering cursor, Star Swirl hesitated for a moment and typed three words on the keyboard.
"Li Xingxuan."
"Why are you here?" Sure enough, there was one more line of words on the computer screen.
"I remember going to the hospital and I was here when I reacted."
"Why did you go to the hospital? Why? Why? Why..."
The word "why" is typed out on the back of the cursor, causing Star Swirl's scalp to tingle and she can't remember what she went to the hospital for, but subconsciously reminds her to get out of here as soon as possible.
The fence door directly opposite the room slowly opens to the sides, and inside it appears to be an elevator, not the kind often seen in modern buildings, but an old-fashioned elevator that is not completely enclosed on all sides, but is only enclosed by railings.
The elevator doors are fully open, as if inviting Star Swirl. She glanced back at the dark hallway and finally chose to step onto the elevator.
The elevator doors close and go up slowly. After about a dozen seconds, the elevator stops, the door opens again, and Star Swirl hears the voice of the announcement, "There's a negative floor ahead, please get ready." ”
After a moment's hesitation, Star Swirl took a step out of the elevator.
In front of you is a wide road, and across the road is an endless alley. Star Swirl suddenly has the illusion of leaving the building, and the scene in front of her is clearly an area of the city.
However, the mottled ceiling above her head reminded her that she had not left the closed building, and surveillance cameras were everywhere.
Where to go? She was at a loss. At this moment, a dark shadow appeared in the alley, and it disappeared in a flash.
"Who's there?" She shouted at the top of her voice.
There was no response, it seemed that she was the only one in the huge space, and the black shadow that appeared just now was just an illusion.
