Chapter 3: The Mysterious Girl
The forest is as quiet as a wonderland.
A young girl walked aimlessly, her silver-gray hair hanging down to her waist, wearing a monotonous gray robe, no shoes and socks, but her feet in contact with the earth were still pink and white, spotless.
Suddenly! She heard voices calling out to her.
The girl's brows furrowed, and the inexplicable voices were inexplicable, but the girl could feel the pain and anxiety in their voices.
She followed the direction of the sounds, and after some time, she finally came to the point where the voices came from.
She saw that the front was covered with a green mist, and the trees and flowers in the mist were all withered, and there was no movement of any life, and even the earth was dyed with a dark green color.
It was in stark contrast to the natural forest where she was now standing.
Standing here, the girl knew that it was the plants at the edge of the mist that were crying out to her for help.
She wanted to help them, but looking at the fog in front of her, she didn't know how to stop it.
After a moment's hesitation, the girl strode towards the foggy front.
The further she went, the more dense the green mist became, and she could feel the viciousness in the mist, but it didn't seem to hurt her.
After walking a little further, the girl faintly saw a person lying next to a dead tree near the center of the fog.
Walking in, she saw that the man was dressed in strange clothes, his complexion had been completely replaced by green, and his lips were swollen and fluffy like two sausages.
The girl went forward to check and found that the person was no longer breathing and had no heartbeat.
Placing her hand on the man's body, the girl felt that the man's body had an extremely strong fog poison.
"This mist is coming from this man."
But even if she knew the source, her limited knowledge didn't know how to deal with the fog.
And just like that, she stood motionless next to the man.
Suddenly, she heard the increasingly fierce calls of the plants in the distance.
She knew that the fog was spreading, and that if there was no solution, it would eventually consume the entire forest.
Thinking of the possible outcome, she involuntarily left two lines of tears in the corners of her eyes, reached out and touched them, and then she looked at the tears on her hands and fell into deep thought.
After a while, she looked at the man lying on the ground, and somehow she seemed to have a way to try.
The girl knelt beside the man, bent down to lift the man up, slowly dragged his head up, she closed her eyes and kissed the man's dark green mouth gently.
At the moment of contact, the girl's body gradually glowed with silver-white light, and her long silver-gray hair fluttered and emitted a dazzling white light.
At this time, the place where the two came into contact was wrapped in a translucent dome, which rotated rapidly to form a vortex centered on the girl, constantly attracting the surrounding mist.
The edges of the mist are shrinking, and the green soil is gradually returning to its original color.
In less than a moment, the fog had disappeared, leaving only withered grass and trees, and new soil.
The originally translucent dome had now completely turned a dark green color.
The girl's hair fluttered, like a dancing silver snake into the dome, which was slowly fading.
The girl's original silver hair gradually turned green from the ends of her hair, until finally the dome disappeared completely, and her long hair was completely dyed dark green.
She slowly let go of the man, who had now regained his original complexion and his swollen mouth a little.
When the girl opened her eyes, the color of her eyes had also turned dark green.
She looked at the man who had regained his original appearance by this time, his eyes were still closed, his face was bearded, and there was a small purple mark on his forehead.
Her attention was drawn to the imprint, which seemed to have some kind of presence in it, and this presence made her instinctively want to find out.
She pressed her forehead against the man's forehead, and suddenly, a fierce white light burst out from the place where her forehead touched, and the white light disappeared in a flash, and she was knocked backwards, and then she lost consciousness and lay on top of the man.
And the original purple mark on the man's forehead also shattered and disappeared without a trace.
β¦β¦
In the dark, George felt that he was caught in the memories of a little girl, and he experienced every moment of her life from the perspective of a little girl like a dream, from croaking to growing into a beautiful and lovely girl, but the girl's experience was painful-
"Mom!" A three-year-old silver-haired girl shouted as she was held by a black-robed hunchbacked man, and across from the hunchbacked man stood a man and a woman.
"Mom! Mommy hugging baby! Wow, ahhhh......h
Listening to the little girl's cry, the woman opposite the hunchbacked man hid her face and turned her face away, unable to bear to look at each other.
"Don't worry, House......" The hunchbacked black-robed man said something to the couple, but the voice in his memories was intermittent for George to discern.
After saying that, the hunchbacked man walked into the carriage with the little girl who kept crying.
As soon as the picture turned, in a dim room with only flickering candlelight, the silver-haired little girl was surrounded by many children of her age, and there were cries one after another, and some black-robed people would lead the children out from time to time.
The picture flickered, and the silver-haired little girl was left alone in the dimly lit room by the flickering candlelight. The little girl vaguely heard some people outside talking excitedly and loudly.
"How long will it take...... Perfect...... Container............ It's still ......" the sound is choppy.
"No hurry...... Sooner or later, the world will be our ......"
George's experience flashed before George's eyes, and he learned that the girl had spent most of her time in a dimly lit room by candlelight.
Every once in a while a hunchbacked man would come looking for her, and then the girl would lose consciousness and wake up in the dimly lit room with only candlelight.
After that, the whole world of the girl is this dim room, where she eats, studies here, and rests.
Until one day, a group of people suddenly broke in, and they fought with the gang that held the girl prisoner.
Their battle caused a huge explosion, but the girl was not hurt at all, but was able to escape.
She kept running, from dark to dawn, and the girl was tireless, until there was a forest, and she slowed down.
She didn't know where her home was, she had no relatives or friends, she was confused, and she didn't know where to run.
She began to walk aimlessly through the forest until she heard the cries and cries of the plants for help.
She rushed over, and into the fog, she saw the figure lying on the ground, with a dark green complexion and swollen lips.
Seeing this, George thought to himself: "Why is this toad with green skin and two fat sausages hanging on his mouth like me." β
He carefully identified it and exclaimed, "It's really me who is really tired!" β
George saw the girl's approach, which made him feel like watching a swan kiss a toad, and his heart was very uncomfortable.
"You can really get off your mouth, if it were me, I would dislike it, this should be caused by the plague of horses."
The girl inhaled the plague into her body, her hair and eyes turned dark green, and in the final scene, the girl and his forehead collided, and a white light appeared, and then the girl fainted, and his system mark disappeared.
The image vanished, and George's consciousness fell into darkness again.
β¦β¦
The sun pours out.
George suddenly opened his eyes, and they were full of dead trees, blue skies and white clouds.
"I ...... Not dead! β
He felt some pressure on his body, looked down, and found that there was a girl with dark green hair lying on his body, so he quickly got up and picked up the girl to check.
He looked at the girl's face, and then at the dead wood and grass around him, and memories flashed through his mind.
"Original...... That's not a dream. He frowned and muttered to himself.
Suddenly he remembered something, reached out and touched his forehead, but there was nothing but a forehead wrinkle. That place was originally the imprint of the system, with a small purple bump.
Ever since he hated the system, he had been accustomed to wearing a hat to cover the mark.
"System! System! He whispered.
Nothing appeared, and every time he whispered the word "system" before, a translucent light curtain would appear in his eyes.
Does this mean that his "system" is completely gone? George wasn't sure, but for now, it did disappear, and as for whether it would reappear in the future, he only hoped never.
He couldn't believe that someone could help him eliminate the system, and he looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms.
"Who are you? Why did you appear in my dreams...... "George had a series of questions in his mind, but no one could answer them.
The system is gone, but what about the system's previous rewards? Thinking of this, George quickly looked at his clothes, and then touched the leather bag around his waist.
Seeing both of them, he breathed a sigh of relief.
His outfit is a system reward - the Card Master Western Cowboy Set, which allows him to perceive Card Master's ability to control cards and throw hits.
The leather pouch on his waist is a space storage bag, and the bag is a dimensional space connected to his mind.
It contains all his belongings, including life, entertainment, leisure, food, and various rewards he has received from the system.
Of course, the most important thing is that there are some of his collectibles, and every time he defeats some creature or enemy, he takes one of those enemies or creatures to keep as a keepsake.
He thought that if he could settle down somewhere in the future, he would build a large house with the collections of his conquests in various worlds.
"The item rewards are still there, but what about the skills?"
George's mind moved, and his back instantly opened up a two-meter-long golden wings of pure light that rushed towards the skyβthe wings of revenge.
This is a skill he has only recently acquired in Azeroth, this skill he has not developed much, and can only be used when it is used by a pair of light wings that appear behind his back and increase his attack damage.
Putting away the light wings, George has determined that the rewards he received from the system before are still there, and he doesn't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, which proves that the system is still affecting him, and the disappearance may just be dormant now, or maybe it will appear one day in the future.
Forget it, don't think about it so much, now that the system has disappeared, then you can live a "free" day.
Thinking of this, George tightened the girl in his arms, and then stepped forward.
