Wayne tried to explain everything to those around her, but no one believed her. Apex In Demacia, which is heavily guarded and averse to dark magic, there is actually a demon at large?
Wayne knows more than they do. Seeing the demon's smile, she knew that this enchantress would definitely attack others again. Even the high walls of Demacia could not stop the dark magic from taking advantage of the gaps. The demon may have cunningly hidden herself, or hidden in a dark corner to hide her eyes, but Wayne knew she was there.
And she won't be scared anymore.
Wayne had a lot of thoughts of revenge in her heart, and she had enough money to recruit a small team. But no one dared to follow her wherever she went. She needs to know everything there is to know about dark magic: how to track it. How to stop it. How to get rid of those who use it.
She needed a teacher.
Her parents once told her the story of the Icevein warriors who rebelled against the Frost Witch in the north. They have guarded their homeland for generations, fending off her unknown forces and the invasion of dark soldiers. Wayne understood that this was the clue that would help her find her teacher. She escaped from her designated guardian and boarded a ship bound for Freljord.
Soon after arriving, Wayne began looking for a demon hunter to be her teacher. She did find one, but the first meeting between the two was a little different from what she expected. While walking through an icy canyon, Wayne falls into an elaborate ice trap and falls into a jagged, delicate ice pit. She looked up and saw a frost troll, smacking his lips and looking at her greedily.
A spear whizzed in, piercing the troll's skull and digging deep into the head. The troll's fat blue tongue slumped to his lips, and he collapsed into a trap. Wayne rolled to the side just in time and survived. It's just that the ground is covered with slimy saliva and blood drenching her boots.
Wayne's lifesaver is a gray-haired, middle-aged woman named Frey. She helped Wayne bandage her wound and led her to the campfire to keep warm. In the icy canyon, the flames burned with difficulty. Frey tells Wayne that she has spent her life fighting the Frost Witch's men because they killed their own children. Wayne begged Frey to take her as an apprentice and teach her how to hunt the dark creatures, but Frey was not interested in taking her in. Vayne hated her identity and wealth, and in the midst of heart-wrenching battles, these things could neither make you superior in force nor keep your sword from wearing.
Wayne couldn't take Frey's answer. She challenges Frey to a duel. If she wins, Frey will be her teacher, and if she loses, she will be bait to lure out the Frost Witch's men and let Frey take revenge on them all. Wayne knew in her heart that she had no chance of winning, and her previous swordsmanship training did not add up to more than an afternoon, and she gave up because she was tired of the form of fighting with one hand behind her back, but she was unwilling to give up hope. Seeing Vayne's determination, Frey threw a ball of snow at Vayne's eyes, and that was the first rule she was taught about hunting demons: don't think about a fair showdown.
Frey saw in Vaine a determination that she couldn't help but admire. She still has a long way to go to grow into a true warrior. But each time, as Wayne struggled through the pain of her bruises, got up from the muddy snow and continued to fight her, Frey saw that the girl was becoming a ruthless killer. You can defeat her skillfully, but you can never destroy her in will. One last time, Wayne asks Frey to help her: both of their families have died at the hands of dark magic. Frey could continue to hunt frost trolls until she died, but she could also be Vayne's teacher. If they join forces, they can kill more than twice as many demons as they do now. If they join forces, they can save more than twice as many families in distress, and this pain is also tormenting the two of them. Frey saw the same hatred in Wayne's eyes as herself, and it didn't go out for a long time.
Frey eventually agrees to follow Wayne back to Demacia.
They went all the way south. Wayne helped Frey disguise herself and fool Demacia's garrison. When they returned to the Wayne family's estate, they began training year after year. Many people came to propose to Vayne, but Vaine had no interest in it, and only focused on receiving Frey's training. Over time, the relationship between the two became closer and closer.
Frey taught Wayne many of the basics of dark magic, summoning evil beasts, and evil spells. Wayne took Frey's every word of instruction to heart. But at the same time, Wayne was also a little uneasy, she didn't know how Frey knew so many vicious methods.
Due to the increasingly tight garrison and the presence of the Anti-Demon Forest, dark creatures are rare in the realm of Demacia. So Frey and Wayne would sneak into the jungle at night to hunt in the border. Soon, Wayne had slain her first demon, a bloodthirsty creature attacking a caravan, when she was only eighteen years old.
The monster's entrails spilled over Vayne, and she felt an emotion awakened: pleasure. The heat of revenge and violence rushed through her veins, and she felt ecstasy.
In the years that followed, Wayne and Frey began to hunt down dark creatures, and their bond deepened through the killing. One day, Wayne suddenly realizes that she loves Frey as much as she loves her mother, but the family's affection is closely connected with the pain and trauma of the beast, tormenting Wayne.
Wayne and Frey travel around the continent of Valoran, only to be attracted by the highland ballads in the tavern. The ballad is full of weeping and telling about a demon-like woman with horns and a bewitching beauty. She is unusually busy in the story:
She founded the Order to recruit the faithful and capable.
When she walked into the mountains to take refuge in her, there was no news of them.
The priests of the Order set up a shrine beside the cliff and offered sacrifices to the demons.
Wayne and Frey immediately set off for the hunt.
It was late at night when she entered the mountain, and Wayne felt like she was in a trance. From the first time they joined forces, she had been worried about Frey, and she was afraid of losing someone who could give her motherly love again. Before she could voice her concerns, a demonic priest sprang out of the bushes and struck Vane in the shoulder with his mace.
Wayne was caught off guard and was seriously injured. Frey hesitated, but her eyes quickly became determined. She apologized to Wayne and transformed into a giant Freljord wolf. Frey, in her animal form, opened her powerful jaws and tore the priest who attacked Vane in half from throat to heel with a single swift blow. Wayne was stunned by what she saw.
