Chapter 8 Trip to Nanjing (3)

2019.8.15Today we went to the Dabao'en Temple Ruins Park. When you enter the door, you will see the towering and tall Bao'en Temple Tower.

Walking into the palace, we learned through the video that the original body of Dabao'en Temple was Changgan Temple, which has been repeatedly destroyed and built for thousands of years, and the name of the temple has been changed repeatedly.

During the Yongle period, Zhu Di, the ancestor of the Ming Dynasty, built the Great Bao'en Temple on the original site with the specifications of the imperial palace. The temple was blown up during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

It was built on the site in 2004 and reopened in 2010. Walking through the promenade and turning right, we arrived

Before the "Millennium Watch", a huge white Buddha head appeared in front of our eyes, stepping on the next step of a blooming lotus screen, stopping behind the statue of the monk in front of the Buddha's head, Peng Peng involuntarily folded his hands and bowed his head to pray, for a long time...... We then walked through the colorful glazed arches, viewed the Seven Treasures Ashoka Pagoda, and came to a beautiful scripture copying hall, where we saw many people lying on the table copying the Heart Sutra seriously, and some people even wore Hanfu to copy it.

Mother said, "Let's go and copy it too!" This is Peng Peng's first contact with the Heart Sutra, he did not refuse, picked up a Heart Sutra and began to copy it, when he wrote, the strength of his whole body was used, even the expression of his face was distorted, and his mother took it and wrote a few words.

Peng Peng didn't want his mother to write it, and said that he would write it himself. Seeing that he was so interested, his mother sat on the sidelines and watched him write.

Half an hour has passed: Peng Peng, are you tired of writing? Mom write it for you! There was no answer. An hour passed, Peng Peng shook his sour fingers, and his mother asked on the side: Can Mom help you write?

Peng Peng replied: No. After about an hour and a half of writing, a Heart Sutra was finally copied! We continued to tour, and finally climbed to the eighth floor of the tower of Da Bao'en Temple, and we didn't care about enjoying the scenery in the distance, and we heard Peng Peng say: I'm so tired.

We hurried down the tower and went to the café to rest. After replenishing his energy, he asked: Mom, why is it so tiring to copy the Heart Sutra, is it because I don't have enough hard work?

Mom said: That's because you've been writing too long and too seriously! Peng Peng then asked: Why do I like to copy the Heart Sutra so much?

Mom said, "I just know."

The Heart Sutra is a scripture that calms people's hearts, and if you like it, prove that you need this scripture to help you.

Peng Peng listened and fell into thought. Later, at the suggestion of his mother, Peng Peng fell asleep on his stomach on the table in the café!

Today's trip to Dabao'en Temple allowed us to be baptized by Buddhist culture! After washing up at night, Peng Peng ran to his mother like a chicken blood: Mom, don't you want to teach me how to find multi-digit square roots?

Teach me now......
