Tibetan Snow Mountains Chapter 42: The Village in the Story
The light from the flashlight in my hand was only a small light, and it shone on a few low-rise Tibetan houses at the entrance of the village, and the color was the same as the houses and buildings in the villages around Shigatse that we saw, with white walls and red tiles!
"Su Mo, we should have arrived at the village where my senior brother said he came back then!"
With a flashlight in hand, I swept around, and said to Yiyi, "No wonder the people of the village have lived here for so many years, and the temperature here is two worlds from the glacial canyons we pass by!" ”
"Yes, the temperature here is about the same as the canyon where the Yuba tribe is located! Habitable! However, there are no trees or peaks around this place, and you can see that behind us, there is only one path for people to step on in a snowy field, and the nearest peak should be far away from here! Unknown wind and snow are coming, how did they resist it! ”
I swept the flashlight into the distance, and found that as Yiyi said, the nearest mountain peak was not seen at the end of the flashlight's light energy! You can only see a dark shadow in the distance, which is in stark contrast to the surrounding night and the clear night sky!
There is a mountain at the back of the village, and the whole village is at the foot of this peak! The road to the depths of the snow-capped mountains that the fat man described to me, I never saw it!
The scale of the whole village is not small, and you can see the shadow of white-walled and red-tiled houses everywhere when you sweep around with a flashlight!
This is not to say that there are many residents in this village, but that the connection between the houses is relatively loose, and each house has a courtyard to enclose the house! This is consistent with the image that appeared in my mind as the fat man described Nima's courtyard as described to me!
The layout of such a detached courtyard seems to be the intention of the first batch of villagers who came here! I don't know what their purpose is in laying out the structure of the village like this!
Yiyi and I walked along the village road next to the house we came from, and walked towards the inside. There was no movement in the whole village, the silence was terrible, and we didn't even hear the sound of insects, it felt like we were walking in a ghost town! It makes people's emotions unconsciously become nervous!
The snow also covered the whole village, and it was also very solid!
Gesang told us that the people of this village had moved out of here a few years ago, and apparently, he was lying!
Our location is very high in the Tibetan Mediterranean, and it is impossible for us not to have a snow for a few years!
If, according to Gesang, the villagers left the area a few years ago, then the snow around it also fell a few years ago. In this way, such footprints will be formed, otherwise, after the villagers leave, the footprints will be covered with fresh snow! Obviously, this statement is not true! This also proves Yiyi's suspicions that there is something wrong with that Gesang! The real Gesang is the corpse Gesang we encountered in the Blue Cave and attacked me and Yiyi many times!
Yiyi and I set out at noon, leaving the tribe of the Ngaba people, and following the direction of the path that we thought was Gesang himself, all the way to the present time!
To be exact, a day should have passed! It's more than four o'clock in the morning! In Tibet, the time difference is the same as in Xinjiang. In most parts of the country, three or four o'clock is the early hours of the morning, when it is almost dawn, and in both areas, three or four o'clock is in these two areas
It's late at night!
Yiyi and I have walked all the way, almost without much rest, and even the time to eat and replenish energy is squeezed out!
After all this rush, she and I both felt extremely tired! I've always imagined how wonderful it would be to have a soft bed in front of me!
And the village that appeared at this time seems to have been realized according to my idea!
Although there are no more people living in the village! Perhaps the relocation of the villagers is what Yiyi said, in order to replace the people of the Yuba tribe!
And the appearance of me and Yiyi should have been expected by them a long time ago!
Now that we're able to show up in this abandoned village intact, I think we'll be safe!
Although the whole village is like a ghost village, I didn't feel scared except that my emotions were affected by the atmosphere here, but I was happy that Yiyi and I were able to find a place to rest!
The fat man once told me that when Yiyi's father, Master Liu, was young, his master deliberately took him to Yizhuang for the night in order to exercise his courage! And it's the kind of Yizhuang full of coffins, and all the coffins are miserable deaths, and they spend the night!
Several times in the past two years, I have spent the night in the tomb! Compared to the ancient tomb where the white night is not clear, the uninhabited village where we are currently located is already a good place to rest! At the very least, we can see the night, we can see the moonlight, and we can see the starry sky!
When we approached the village and had not yet come into contact with the Tibetan buildings of the village, I told Yiyi that we should walk into the nearest courtyard, spend the night, and make plans the next day!
And Yiyi suggested that it would be better for us to go up the hillside and choose those houses built on the mountainside to rest!
I thought about it and thought she had a point! Her idea was that we were unfamiliar with the environment here, and it was late at night, in case of a snowstorm! I'm afraid that this courtyard I want to enter will be the first to be impacted! Besides, there's a good chance that there will be some beasts in the snow here, and the two of us can't see people for a long time, so the two of us can just give them a tooth sacrifice!
Sometimes, men's thoughts are really not as delicate as women's! Yiyi's advice is much more cautious than my thoughts! If the fat man is here, I think, he will think the same as Yiyi! I'm still a little too frizzy!
Another advantage of choosing to rest on the mountainside is that you can be condescending, and if something happens below, we can stand on a high place and watch the situation below!
After making a decision, Yiyi and I stopped grinding and began to walk towards the top of the hill!
Along the way, the doors of the courtyards of the houses we passed were all open, and many of the doors of the houses in the courtyard were open!
Apparently, the people here were in a hurry when they left this strange village! It's like they're hiding from something terrible!
I can't think of how these bricks and tiles could have been transported in such a bitter cold place! Even if all the houses are not built in a grand manner, not as good as the villages we have seen in the vicinity of Shigatse before, it is remarkable that this village can be built at such an altitude and in such a remote place!
When the fat man told me about his experience of the trip to the snowy mountains,
There is not much to describe this village! I think his point was to let me know about his experience, and he didn't focus on the architecture of the village and the size of the village!
Although the houses in the whole village are detached, the courtyard walls are very simple, and there are no extravagant materials such as bricks and tiles like building houses, but more courtyard walls composed of some fences or wood stacked and intertwined! The gate is also made of wood!
The reason why I didn't feel too much fear when I entered this village, and after getting through the initial nervousness caused by the quiet atmosphere around me, I felt more and more at ease!
The architectural style of many courtyard walls and courtyard gates in the village here is very similar to that of my hometown, where I grew up, and I have the impression that the courtyard walls of many households in our village are very similar! If it weren't for this Tibetan house building, I would suddenly feel that I had traveled back to my hometown where I had lived for more than ten years!
There are more than a dozen households on the mountainside according to the suggestion, and they are all scattered! There are some layouts that look like terraces! There is this sense of vision, all because the mountain behind this village can only be regarded as a small mountain, which is only a little more than double the size of the Ghost Cub Ridge in Yongzhou! The height is probably less than 100 meters!
Therefore, many residents choose to live on the mountain and do not feel like they are living on a steep mountainside!
As we walked towards the mountainside, I flashed my flashlights left and right, trying to find the strange place where Uncle Nima lived that the fat man told me! But when I looked closely, I didn't see any similar buildings!
Due to physical reasons, I didn't waste this energy anymore, so I had to give up, take back the flashlight, and follow the upward slope!
These dozen or so households on the mountainside are divided into several heights! Instead of choosing to be at the top, we walked into a house with an open door in the middle!
Before I entered the house, when I was in the yard, I could already see the whole picture of the house by the light of the flashlight! You can see the stove, a simple big bed, and some groceries! When the family left, it didn't seem to have anything to clean up, and a lot of things were left!
I even had the illusion that the people here seemed to be waiting for someone, or a certain group of people! Among this group of people, there are two people, I Yiyi!
As you can see from the groceries and the bed in the house, this is a place where people who live alone! Although the bed is not small, it is not enough to sleep two people, and all the utensils are unique, there is no superfluous!
As soon as I entered the room, I felt a sense of warmth! When Tibetans build houses, the most important thing is the effect of thermal insulation! And what made me even happier was that in the middle of the room, next to the stove, there were a lot of coals and thin wood for ignition!
This discovery makes me feel that the villagers of the village are really waiting for some people to come!
