(51) The first major examination of life
When the school started again, we collectively entered the general review stage.
The atmosphere in the class became more tense as the countdown to the high school entrance examination hanging on the wall gradually decreased, and the time of each day seemed to become less and less. I had no choice but to give up the idea of a novel, and even the diary I used to write every day was reduced to one sentence, and I devoted myself to studying.
Although I wasn't very interested in studying, I wanted to work harder to get into the same high school as them. After all, my academic performance is not as satisfactory as theirs, nor is it so stable, so whether or not we can go to the same high school together, the biggest variable still stays on me.
In order to reduce our stress, two months after the start of school, our school day was shortened by two hours, and we switched back to the time when we first started junior high school. However, for the few of us, this change didn't help, because every time after school, we would go to Sister Sweet's dessert shop to review together, and we wouldn't go home until we came home from school.
Although several parents did not agree with our decision at the beginning, they were worried about the danger that we would be so late. But I have to say that our revision method has worked very well, at least in the subsequent mock exams, our five grades have been very consistent, and all of them have remained in the top 10 of the grade. Therefore, after that, the parents did not object to us getting together to study, but prepared supper or fruit for us every day after we went home to supplement our nutrition.
Of course, for us, in addition to making our grades more and more consistent, the bigger benefit of doing so is that success has changed the relationship between the five of us.
The moon has always been self-cooked, so although the connection between her and Cao Yunxiao only started last semester, now the two have successfully developed into good brothers who often fight and fight, and often give me the illusion that Cao Yunxiao has brought the moon badly. And Cao Yunxiao and Cheng Zexin seem to have returned to the state when they first met, and they no longer did not contact or speak as before, and they were so strange that they seemed to never know each other.
Although I don't know how the two of them resolved the conflict in their hearts, this result is enough to make me happy. I also sent a text message to Cao Yunxiao about it, and then Cao Yunxiao replied to me that I must cherish Cheng Zexin, she is a very good girl.
I looked at this text message, and said in my heart, the person who cherishes Cheng Zexin the most should be him, but I have always been very clear that Cheng Zexin is a very gentle, careful, and considerate girl, who is very good to me, but he always breaks Cheng Zexin's heart over and over again.
At that time, I was only concerned about being happy, and at the same time I was worried about the upcoming high school entrance examination, so I didn't notice that in fact, many things had already been foreshadowed at this time.
In fact, some things don't happen suddenly, maybe they have been revealed a long time ago, but we focus on other things and don't notice them. Sometimes I wonder if I would have been less upset if I had found out something was wrong earlier. But then reality tells me that unless it happens until I don't react at all, no matter how early I find out, it will only start my pain earlier, and not only will it not reduce the dose of pain, but it may also make things worse for me at times.
I just don't know how long it will drag on for me to be unresponsive, so the best thing to do is to try to change the outcome before it happens.
However, not all endings can be changed so easily, just as we cannot resist death.
This may be the reason why tragedy is always there.
In this way, about a month or so passed, and the weather in the north began to officially enter the summer high temperature environment. And in such a high temperature, we first ushered in the college entrance examination.
Because our school also has a high school, our junior high school will be closed as usual during the three days of the college entrance examination. In the past three days, the five of us basically studied in Sister Fruit's dessert shop. When we go back to class three days later, our teachers will cheer us on the college entrance examination, repeating to us every day that we should calm down and never be nervous about these things.
We understand the teachers' concerns, because the hot weather in summer is easy to make people irritable, coupled with the pressure of studying, many students will have problems big and small. Our school dealt with three or four fights and disturbances within two days, and our teachers were afraid that this kind of thing would happen to us, so they could only take precautions and keep reassuring us every day, telling us not to be as impulsive as those people.
I didn't give a damn about that kind of pediatric fight, so when they finally took their breath and started gossiping about these things, I didn't get involved in it at all. But then they talked too much, and I suddenly had the idea of practicing, so I asked Fu Chengwen to find a place to learn before going home every day.
Fu Chengwen didn't want to agree with my suggestion, but maybe he couldn't find any other way to reduce stress, so he agreed to my idea under my soft grinding and hard bubbles. So every day after coming back from Sister Fruit's dessert shop, we would always go to a corner of the community to fight, vent the stress of the whole day and then go home.
It worked, and I fell asleep almost immediately after I got home every day, and I slept very well. In the morning, I would wake up an hour earlier than usual and memorize words and texts, which was much better than before.
In this way, Fu Chengwen and I insisted on going to the competition every day, until nineteen days later, we also took the first extremely important exam in our lives.
The day before the exam, the school was out for the holidays, and a few of us got together again to Sister Fruit. In order to wish us success in the exam, Sister Fruit specially invited us to eat ice cream. As we ate, we swore an oath and shouted that we must be admitted to Jinwen. Fortunately, there was no one in the store at that time, otherwise with the state of a few of us, someone would probably call the police and ask the doctors from the psychiatric hospital to arrest us.
Before going to the exam room the next day, my parents were even more nervous than I was, asking me over and over again if I had forgotten to bring anything with me. I wasn't afraid at all, I packed everything I needed for the exam step by step, and went to the exam room with Fu Chengwen.
When I got the first Chinese test paper, I exhaled softly, and after answering the paper smoothly, it was time to hand in the paper. The next few subjects were not as difficult as I expected, and I basically calculated the time to finish the test papers to ensure that all the papers were written correctly. When the last test paper was completed, my junior high school life came to a successful end with it.
