The beginning of "Jiaoshu" was born from a folk tale that many people are familiar with, Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin "sent a thousand miles to Jingniang". It is probably said that Zhao Kuangyin accidentally rescued the girl Zhao Jingniang in distress when he was a teenager, and instead of pretending to be a brother and sister, he escorted her back to Beijing all the way (isn't it very familiar~).

At the end of this story, the Zhao family wanted to marry Jingniang to Zhao Kuangyin, but the latter felt that this would pollute his righteous heart and refused in one go.

Then Jing Niang "The concubine can't make up for the great virtue in this life, and she should die as a ring of grass", and immediately committed suicide by throwing herself into the lake. That lake is said to have become an attraction today in Handan, Hebei Province......

From the perspective of modern people, this matter is incredible, and it is full of all kinds of feudal dross thoughts, which is regrettable and regrettable.

At that time, I thought that if a man and a woman walked together and lived together for some reason, they would get along all the year round, be close in age, have similar interests, respect and be considerate of each other, and the possibility of developing a relationship should be very great.

So there was Qingling and the fifth brother.

Therefore, in the Jixian chapter and the Yanzhou chapter, one of the big prototypes of the fifth brother is Zhao Kuangyin.

This one was born in a military attache family, and it is said that he was very handsome when he was a teenager, because his father's official position was not high, and he could only shade one or two sons, so he went out on his own to find a place to get ahead.

Zhao Kuangyin in history, successively defected to his father's hometown defense envoy Wang Yanchao, Suizhou assassin Dong Zongben failed, and finally voted for the privy envoy Guo Wei (later Zhou Taizu), and in the process of his "being supported and accepted by Zen", he performed prominently and gradually was reused.

And then there is the "Chen Qiao Mutiny" and "Yellow Robe Plus Body" that everyone recite backwards (I remember in a trance that some historians laughed and said that Guo Wei was obviously the original creator of the Yellow Robe, but it turned out to be a rehearsal for Zhao Kuangyin, and now when this word is mentioned in later generations, most people don't think of him, which is very pitiful).

In "Jiaoshu", Chen Hao alludes to Guo Wei, who Zhao Kuangyin defected to at that time.

But I just want a light-hearted love story, so it is naturally impossible for the fifth brother to be an emperor, and it is impossible to only take the road of a military general - after all, the author himself is not good at it, and he doesn't like to write war dramas very much.

So there is the civilian-official line.

In order to increase the persuasiveness, for the content of each item to be specifically assessed by the imperial court, the text has set up corresponding subplots to write in detail, so there are ash worms, Ganzhou judgments, exile camps, state studies, and so on. And here Qingling and the fifth brother visited the people before taking office, which originated from the "Investigation of the Search for Wu" that I read when I was a child (who is the author, I don't need to say more).
