"The Length" (3)
The ups and downs of my life happened in 1989, and in fact, there were signs of it, but I didn't notice it.
When I became a regular worker, the state issued a document to adjust the wages of the workers, and the proportion of salary adjustment was 40%. I was fortunate to be included in the first batch of capital transfer personnel, and my salary was raised from the second-level to the third-level standard, which was 37.6 yuan per month. Those who are not eligible for the transfer are still subject to the second-level salary, and there are even many apprentices with first-class wages who miss this salary adjustment. However, the second-level salary was adjusted to 27.5 yuan per month. Don't look at the small gap of 10.1 yuan, it slowly evolved into the fuse later.
In 1989, three years later, the state adjusted workers' wages again. The rate of readjustment is 40 per cent, and the document clearly states that those who have had the last salary adjustment will no longer have the opportunity to recapitalize. As a result, the salary of the third-level workers this time is 41.1 yuan, while the person who was transferred last time is also a third-level salary but still implements the salary standard of 37.6 yuan, and the same level is 3.5 yuan less per month. In the original three years, the second-class salary was 10.1 yuan more per month, but the third-level workers who came up later had a salary of 3.5 yuan more than us every month.
A few unconvinced lords came out to make trouble, remember to take the lead called Chen Hao. I took the first batch of 30 workers to find the factory director, and I followed them with a fever at that time.
As a result, I realized that some workers took less, and they couldn't hold it back. There are old workers who have worked for more than ten years, and their monthly wages are calculated according to the old standard. At that time, there was no such thing as a level, and the 24 yuan that was classified as a level after the division was never upgraded. However, after the new apprentices implemented the unified standard, they passed the three-year internship according to the standard of 20 yuan, 22 yuan, and 24 yuan. The fourth-year trainee salary is 27.5 yuan for the second level, which is already higher than the salary of this part of the old workers.
This matter was brought out by those old employees who always received a first-class salary, and the factory director couldn't control the situation all of a sudden.
This is obviously a problem left over from history, and everyone is not happy but helpless. At this time, the factory director simply stopped the increase this time, and paid the original set of wages according to the first, second and third levels of the existing grade.
20 yuan, 22 yuan, 24 yuan for internship, 24 yuan for full-time workers, 27.5 yuan for level 2, and 37.6 yuan for level 3.
As for the old employees with the first-level salary, they will continue to be calculated according to the first-level salary. However, the 41.1 yuan more than the new batch of third-level wages this year was skimmed to 37.6 yuan of the third-level standard, and the extra 3.5 yuan was given to the old employees. The old employees went from 24 yuan at the first level to 27.5 yuan at the first level, which can be regarded as temporarily calming the old employees.
The factory director just finished talking about this matter in the morning, and it seems that the problem of wage balance has indeed been perfectly solved.
But in the afternoon, there was a fight in the factory, and the fight was inseparable.
Because the employees who had just been promoted to the third-level salary could have received 41.1 yuan. As soon as things got up, it was pressed back to 37.6 yuan, which was the same as what we took. It seems to be balanced, but because we became a third-level worker in advance, we got three more years of salary, less than 10.1 yuan per month for three years, and this time they also earned 3.5 yuan less per month. Someone on the other side calculated the data in it and the more he thought about it, the more angry he became, and as soon as it fermented, he started fighting.
The police immediately came to seal the factory and took away many people, and many of the machines were scrapped. More than 20 employees were taken to the hospital with minor or serious injuries, and two even died on the spot. Because I didn't run in time, my left foot was hit by someone who knocked my leg bone with a wrench, and I fell to the ground on the spot and couldn't get up. He was also punched several times and sent to the hospital without being detained.
