Chapter XIX - During the Conference
In the conference room, seven people sat together, drinking tea and chatting.
"Let's talk about the problem first." King spoke.
"The biggest problem should be your dynasty, right?" Neo looked at King, "Where did that sister of yours come from?" What is she? β
King sipped his tea calmly, "We should be discussing state affairs, not family affairs, right?" β
Neo's gaze became more and more fierce, and he said, "Your dynasty has always had human legacy problems, right?" β
"You're not right. The place with the most problems left by mankind should be the hidden area, right? King smiled and looked at Jacques.
"You know me, you don't care about this, as long as humans don't interfere with us, we won't interfere in the hidden zone." Jacques said earnestly.
"You all have this irresponsible attitude!" Neo got angry.
"Neo, you'd better calm down first." Cole persuaded.
"Let's get straight to the point." Cole put down the teacup in his hand and turned on the projection, in which a map of the world appeared.
"This is an area where there have been frequent human riots in the last three years, and they are basically small-scale, and there are fewer than 30 people." Cole circled the riot point with a laser pointer.
"The most peaceful area is the hidden zone, where there is not a single disturbance, and humans and canines basically do not interfere with each other." Cole continued, "Then there is the dynasty, there are no riots, but there are signs of human gathering. It's clearly organized, they're planning something. β
"The fiercest resistance is Neo's Yi District and Ryan's Wu District." Cole looked at the two of them solemnly, "It's time for us to rethink our strategy. β
"Is there any other option than to destroy them?" Ryan grimaced.
"Decades have passed, and you still haven't had much brains." Cole sighed, "Didn't you find anything wrong with this information?" β
"Where there is oppression, there is resistance." Jacques smiled slightly, "That's why I advocate non-interference and neutrality." β
"Joke, we have an absolute superiority in force, so what can a little human survivor set off?" Ryan said sarcastically.
"I recognize your ability to fight, but force cannot solve all problems." Cole said calmly, "Neo, what do you think?" β
Neo stared at the map in silence and turned his gaze to King. In the past, they had encountered Waterloo in war, but King helped them through the crisis through a perfect strategy, and even turned defeat into victory. Although he will always target King, he will see him as a respectable opponent in his heart.
"What does King have in mind?" Neo looked at him solemnly.
King then put down his teacup, "The best thing to do is to bring them together and kill them all in a battle." β
"What kind of conspiracy are you going to play?" Ryan looked at King warily.
"Why, you don't dare to participate?" King smiled and looked at Ryan.
"I don't like your hypocritical smile!" Ryan frowned, "How can we canines have such a cunning existence as you. β
King laughed, "If it weren't for me, the canines wouldn't be where they are today, right?" β
Ryan was dumbfounded, and indeed it was true, the victory of the canines would not have been possible without the contribution of King, who had perfectly deceived the humans, penetrated into the ranks of the humans, and dealt them a fatal blow.
Cole stared at King in silence, he hadn't yet understood King's intentions, did he really plan to wipe out the survivors, or would he help his master and revive humanity?
The human blood on King's hands could not be washed away in the depths of his memory. How should he deal with his human master? Will one day, he end her life with his own hands?
"All right, guys. I agree with King's idea. Although a small-scale riot is not a big threat, it will affect people's daily lives and cause a waste of military resources. Cole continued, "It's much more efficient to bring humans together and exterminate them. β
"Our hidden zone has always been neutral and not suitable to be a battlefield." Jacques said.
"Even if we show favor to humans, humans won't believe it, right?" Neo frowned.
"Then it's even more impossible for us to be in the martial arts district." Ryan said.
"Are you guys using me and milk as air?" The black girl finally couldn't hold it back.
"You're going to volunteer?" Jacques smiled at the black girl.
"Who said I'm going to volunteer?" Hei Mei frowned, "It's good if I can help, but you still want to use my territory as a battlefield?" β
"What about the milk boy?" Jacques looked at the milk.
"Not suitable." Milk replied briefly.
"Hmph, it looks like it's just the two of us now." Cole looked at King.
"It's in the dynasty." King said calmly.
"Are you sure?" Cole was a little worried, "Do you know what it means for a dynasty to be a battlefield?" β
"As the FΓΌhrer, how can you put the people in danger?" Cole sighed.
"Since King has said so, let's do it." Ryan smiled rarely.
"Who said I would put people in danger?" King looked at everyone puzzled, "There are many kinds of battles, and some battles don't need to be bloodshed. β
"A campaign that doesn't need bloodshed? Are you kidding Lao Tzu? Ryan went crazy again, "You kid completely underestimated us martial artists, didn't you?" β
King smiled mockingly, "I don't care about people with developed limbs. β
"You ......," Ryan was furious.
"How do you need our cooperation?" The black girl asked.
"After the plan is finalized, the districts will suspend the hunting and killing of humans." King said, "I'll send someone from my side to arrange the matter, and you can give them as much passage as you can, and don't interfere with their actions." β
"Are you serious?" Heimei asked again.
"Yes, I'm confident." King said with a smile.
"We, the Fog Zone, will fully cooperate." Hei Mei was the first to promise.
King looked at the others, "What about you?" β
"Just do as you say." Neo said.
Cole and the others nodded in agreement.
"Okay, that's the end of the talk about the human killing plan, let's talk about economic development." Cole switched to the projection.
"The economic development of the seven major regions is very unbalanced, especially the Wu District, which is the last place every year." Cole said.
"I think it's the same as before." Ryan was a little irritable, he had never paid attention to economic issues, and the military district particularly advocated armed fighting, and the economic development was indeed the worst among the seven districts.
Because leaders simply don't pay attention to that. The people in the Wu District can basically achieve self-sufficiency, and they also have small resources, so they can rely on the mountains to eat from the mountains.
"Ryan, you can't think like that. If you continue like this, sooner or later you will become a wild land. Cole said, "I don't want you to sit on the fence and plunder it if you can't survive any longer." β
"This will seriously affect the security of other areas." Cole looked at him solemnly.
Ryan frowned, he really didn't want to care about this, was there anything wrong with plundering by force? This world is the law of the jungle.
"What do you guys think?" Ryan looked at the crowd. But everyone's faces had an expression of what to do with me.
"Does King have any suggestions?" Seeing that everyone didn't want to squeak, Ryan had to ask one by one.
"Do you really want to solve the problem of economic development?" King asked.
"That's all for Cole, I guess I can't just ignore it, right?" Ryan was depressed. Obviously, when it comes to combat effectiveness, their military region is the absolute king, but now it is indeed a time of peace, and there will rarely be wars.
"Why don't we work together?" King grinned, his eyes full of calculation.
Ryan felt a chill run down his back, "What are you calculating again?" β
"The economic development of your Wu District is fully outsourced to our dynasty." King said.
"You want to control the economy of our martial arts district!" Ryan looked at King warily, "You're really not at ease! β
"Joke, you have a woolen economy in the Wu District, should you develop it from scratch?" King frowned, "Since you're not happy, just because I didn't say it, you really think I'm idle and want to meddle in the affairs of your martial arts district?" β
After thinking about it, Ryan felt that what King said made sense. "What do you think?"
"I'm not going to hand over the economy to outsiders." Neo said.
"Our situation is different, but to be honest, your economic level is really too bad, three years ago I went to your Wu District for a meeting, and the hotel we stayed in was a broken one, even the toilet was blocked, and the food was very unpalatable." Hei Mei complained, "The hygiene is also poor, and I am afraid of dirty shoes when I walk on the street." If this goes on like this, you who are susceptible to the plague. β
Ryan's heart was even more confused, he really never cared about this, and he was thinking about how to strengthen the troops all day long. But most of the canines in their martial arts area have the same thoughts as him, and they don't feel how backward the economy of the martial arts area is.
Ryan looked up at King, "How do you work together?" β
"You don't understand the economy, and the people in your martial arts area are not interested in the economy. Therefore, I will send a canine man who understands the economy to take over the management. They will report back to you on a regular basis. As for the profits, eighty percent of the martial arts area and two percent of the dynasty. These two percent are mainly to pay their salaries and bonuses, and will not be embezzled into the coffers of our dynasty. King added, "At the same time, the dynasty and the military region must form an alliance, and if there is a need for military support, you must cooperate unconditionally." In addition, the armies of our two regions can learn from each other and improve each other's strength. β
"Alliance, why don't you bring us with you?" Hei Mei asked with a frown.
"You have the ability to do it yourself, and you don't need me to interfere at all." King smiled and said, "Ryan's situation is special. β
"Cole, what do you think?" Ryan looked at Cole.
"King's proposal is indeed more suitable for your martial arts district." Cole laughed, "No one else dares to take over the economy of the Martial District except him." β
"You can think about it and give me an answer before I return to the dynasty." King behaved very calmly.
"If I think about it, it's not a trivial matter." Ryan frowned and pondered, "It's risky to cooperate with King and hand over the economic management rights. β
"Investment is inherently risky." King seemed to see through his inner hesitation.
"There's only one chance, and if I regret it and don't want to take over, then you'll miss the opportunity." King smiled and encouraged.
Ryan clenched his hands into fists, and after thinking about it, he finally made up his mind. "Let's sign a cooperation agreement."
King smiled with satisfaction, "Let's draft a simple, detailed clause today, and we'll meet and sign the contract after the legal counsel has studied it." β
"This is a draft agreement." King took the manuscript out of his bag and handed it over.
Ryan was stunned, "You prepared it beforehand?" β
"I still have to do my homework before I attend the conference." King laughed.
"Is the economy okay in other districts? Why didn't everyone speak? Ryan looked at the crowd with a wryphalo.
"There is no big problem in other districts, just adjust the terms of cooperation. These things can be left to the legal counsel. Cole said.
"Let's move on to the next topic."
The morning meeting lasted almost three hours, and the seven heads of state were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief during their lunch break.
After arriving at the capital of the hidden area, Xian Yan's face was full of surprise. Isn't this the same as the hidden zone she imagined? He always thought that they lived the life of primitive people.
"Have you ever been to the Hidden District Capital before?" Xian Xian looked at everyone curiously.
All four shook their heads, and Luke said, "During the war, this place was not built yet. β
"Haven't you been here with King once?" Xian Xian was a little surprised.
"We've always been in the army." The monster complained, "Except for military exercises, they rarely leave the troops. β
"What do you guys think about the hidden zone?" Detective asked.
"It feels completely different from our dynasty." Jesse looked at the buildings around him, he reached out and touched the wall in front of him, "It's actually a real plant." β
"It's hard to build a building like this." Xianxian sighed.
"You don't have to be too surprised, although the designer is from the hidden area, it is the craftsmen of our dynasty who built these properties." Luke explained.
"Then why didn't the dynasty have such a building?" η¨η¨η¨ asked.
"The cost of this kind of building is quite high." Wukong said, "And the maintenance cost in the later stage is not low. β
"Indeed, King doesn't like to pour out things that are not practical, and has always been frugal." "He's a complete pragmatist." β
"I remember when I used to drink yogurt with it, I would ask it to lick the yogurt off the bottle cap. And every time you eat, you ask it to develop a good habit of eating cleanly. β
Everyone looked at Xian Xian, and secretly thought in their hearts that King's thrift had been inherited from Xian Xian.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She felt a chill in her back.
"Are you also frugal?" The monster asked curiously.
"Well, it's okay. If you should buy it, you will be willing to buy it, and if you shouldn't buy it, you won't see it more. Xianxian thought.
Everyone had a "sure enough" expression.
