The mercy of the Ionians became a weakness that could be exploited - their warriors would hesitate in front of seemingly innocent people. Therefore, Kai Yin, who could barely carry a sword, participated in the battle on his first day, which was basically equivalent to his death.

In order to raid the province of Barouo, Noxus' troops chose to land at the mouth of the Yipo River. Cain and the other children were reluctantly organized into the vanguard, facing local forces that had been hastily organized to resist the returning invaders. His young comrades were either killed in battle or deserted, but Cain had no fear. He threw down his heavy sword and grabbed a scythe, facing the shocked Ionians. At this time, the regular troops of Noxus were outflanked from the flank.

What followed was a massacre that was unbearable to witness. Farmers, hunters—and even some Vastayas—were all slaughtered with a clean hand.

Two days later, the war spread throughout the southern provinces, and the Shadow Sect followed the wind. The Lord of the Shadow Stream knows that this area has no strategic value. The massacre was just a statement: Noxus showed no mercy.

A flash of metal caught his attention. A boy as old as ten years old lay in the mud, raising a broken scythe against Master Assassin Ping, his blood-stained knuckles turning white with exertion. The boy's eyes contained pain that was far from his age, but they burned with the anger of a strong warrior. This kind of tenacity is not something that can be taught. He looked at the boy. This Noxian outcast has the right to be a weapon that in turn will take on the enemies who have sent him to his death. He stretched out his hand and welcomed Cain to the Shadow Stream.

Shadowstream followers often spend years honing a weapon of their choice, but Kai Cain is proficient in all weapons—to him, these things are just tools, and he is a weapon in his own right. He felt that the armor was just a bulky burden, so he wrapped himself in a dark shadow and stabbed his enemies by surprise and lightning speed. Those who escaped by chance were rumored of an unpreventable assassination, and fear spread.

Kai Cain's fame grew, and so did his conceit. He truly believed that one day, his power would even surpass the Tribulation.

This conceit led Cain to his final test: to find a Darkspawn weapon recently unearthed in Noxus to protect the weakened Ionian defenders from being killed. He accepted it without hesitation, without thinking at all why he was chosen for the task. In fact, someone else would have wanted to destroy the living scythe called Rayast, but Cain kept it for himself.

As soon as his fingers touched the scythe, the Corruption began to bind the two together, destined to wrestle with each other. Raast waited a long time for a perfect host, just to reunite with his Darkspawn and wipe out the creatures of the world in one fell swoop, but Cain would not be easily occupied. He returned to Ionia with great ambition, believing that Doom would sponsor him as the new leader of the Shadowstream Sect.

Kai stood proudly in the shadow of Noxtola, surrounded by the corpses of the soldiers. Looking at this ironic sight, a smile appeared on his face. These triumphal arches were made of dark stone and were originally intended to show off the power of Noxus and instill fear in those who passed through the gates in order to gain their loyalty. Now, however, the arch has become a tombstone, a symbol of false strength and blind arrogance, as well as a symbol of the dead warriors being consumed and buried by their own fears.

Cain likes the smell of fear. This is his dependence and his weapon. Just as his brothers in the Shadow Stream Sect were proficient in katana and shuriken, Kai Yin was proficient in fear.

After many years, he set foot on the land of Noxus again, and he felt a little uneasy in the midst of the forgotten corpses of the enemy soldiers. Like the pressure before a storm hangs in the air, thirst is released.

Najuri and Kai Cain are both disciples of the Shadow Stream Sect. He held the knife in his hand behind his hand, intending to settle the business and private affairs together. Kaiin was a little surprised—Nagyuri almost completely hid the tremor in his voice: "Have you thought about it, brother?"

Kai Yin didn't say a word. His hands hung loosely at his sides. He knows that everything is under control. Despite this, he had a vague, déjà vu feeling, as if he had experienced it all in a dream. The feeling flashed by and disappeared without a trace.

A voice rose out of thin air between the two men—full of darkness and hatred, echoing the bitter wails of thousands of battlefields, inciting them to war.

"Who is qualified?"

The strongest disciple under the throne was summoned.

The sect's spies have confirmed a chilling rumor. Nemesis Noxus has discovered an ancient Darkspawn Scythe with the power of any Ionian magic. In the corner of the scythe stared at a scarlet hatered one-eye, tempting the mighty humans to fight it. However, it is clear that no one is qualified to use it at the moment. All who touched it were quickly and painfully consumed by its malice, so now it was being wrapped in chain mail and coarse cloth, and escorted by a legion on horseback to the Immortal Fortress.

Siddha Cain knew what he would be instructed to receive. This will be his final trial.

When he arrived in the coastal city of Findor, he gradually realized the significance of his trip. Although it is reckless to fight deep into enemy territory, Cain is not a cautious man. His talent was unmatched, so it was impossible for him to trust Ionia's fate to someone else, so there was no doubt that Cain was destined to accomplish great things.

He had set the trap before dusk came. As the sun set down, the Horseback Corps appeared far out of sight, sending up a puff of smoke and dust in the orange sky—he had plenty of time to finish off Noxtola's three guards.

He silently moved through the long shadow of the arch as the first guard began to patrol the area. Kai Yin summoned shadow magic and walked into the black stone wall, as if opening a secret door that was open only to him. He saw the silhouette of two guards, their spears clenched in both hands.

He burst out of the shadowy walls, draining the life of the second guard with his bare hands. Before the third guard could react, Cain dissolved into pure darkness, dissolved into air, and then sped across the gravel path to reappear in front of his opponent. In the blink of an eye, he snatched the guard's head and easily broke his neck.
