Feng Yi ran around looking for daffodils, so he often crossed the Yellow River, crossed the Yellow River, crossed the Yellow River, and often dealt with the Yellow River. Ninety-nine days have passed in the blink of an eye, find another daffodil, suck the juice of the daffodil for a day, and you will become an immortal.

Feng Yi was very proud, and crossed the Yellow River to a small village to look for daffodils. The water here is not deep, Feng Yi waded across the river, and when he reached the middle of the river, suddenly the river rose. He panicked, slipped under his feet, fell into the Yellow River, and drowned alive.

After Feng Yi died, he was full of grievances and gritted his teeth and hated the Yellow River, so he went there to sue the Yellow River. The Jade Emperor was also very annoyed when he heard that the Yellow River was undisciplined, and that it was spreading wild everywhere, endangering the people. He saw that Feng Yi had sucked the juice of daffodils for ninety-nine days, and it was time to become an immortal, so he asked Feng Yi if he would like to be the god of water in the Yellow River and govern the Yellow River.

Feng Yi was overjoyed and agreed. This is the wish to become an immortal, and the second is to avenge being drowned.

Feng Yi became the water god of the Yellow River, known as Hebo. He had never been subjected to water control, and he suddenly took on the task of controlling the Yellow River, and he was helpless and worried. What to do? He is shallow, and he doesn't have any magic weapons and immortal skills, so he has to go to the Jade Emperor to ask for advice. The Jade Emperor told him that in order to manage the Yellow River well, it is necessary to first find out the water situation of the Yellow River and draw a river map.

The villagers hated him for being lazy and hardworking, and no one paid attention to him. He found the old man in the village and told him about his ambition to control the Yellow River.

When the old man saw that he was now an immortal and wanted to do something good for the people, he agreed to help him. Since then, Hebo and the old man have come and gone in the rain, trekking through mountains and rivers, and inspecting the water situation of the Yellow River. The two of them ran for several years, and the old man was tired.

Later, the old man had to go back, leaving Hebo to continue to inspect the water situation along the Yellow River. When they broke up, Hou Laohan repeatedly instructed Hebo to do his job to the end, not to give up halfway, and to start to control the Yellow River after drawing a picture, but there were not enough people, so he persuaded the villagers to help.

Checking the water situation and drawing a map of the river is a chore. By the time Hebo drew the river picture, he was already old and frail. He Bo looked at the river map, where is the Yellow River deep and where is shallow; Where it is good to rush the embankment, where it is easy to break the pass; Where to dig, where to block; Where the water can be cut off, where the flood can be drained, the painting is clear. I can only sigh that I don't have the strength to manage the Yellow River according to the map, and I am very sad.

He Bo thought that one day there would be capable people to govern the Yellow River, and at that time, he would not worry in vain if he gave him the river map.

Since then, Hebo has spent his old age under the Yellow River and has never shown up again. Unexpectedly, the Yellow River rose again and again and flooded repeatedly. The people knew that the Jade Emperor sent Hebo to control the water, but they didn't see him, and they all scolded Hebo for not doing his duty, regardless of whether the people lived or died.

The old man looked forward to Hebo every day on the hospital bed, and he didn't see each other for many years. He was not at ease about the management of the Yellow River, and wanted to go to Hebo. His son's name is Yi, and he shoots arrows with a hundred shots. No matter what the old man said, Yi didn't let him go to Hebo.

Later, the old man did not listen to his son's dissuasion, but when he encountered the breach of the Yellow River, he was washed away and drowned, and his body was not even found. Hou Yi hated Hebo very much, gritted his teeth and said that he would shoot Hebo to death sooner or later.

Later, when Dayu came out to control the water, Hebo decided to give him the Yellow River map.

On this day, Hebo heard that Dayu came to the Yellow River with a mountain axe and a sword to avoid water, so he came out of the water with a river map to find Dayu. Hebo and Dayu have never met, and no one knows anyone. He Bo walked for a long time, and was so tired that he wanted to take a rest, when he saw a young man walking on the other side of the river. This young man is heroic and majestic, presumably Dayu, and Hebo shouted and asked: "Hey, who are you?" ”

The young man on the other side is not Dayu, but Houyi. He looked up and saw an old man on the other side of the river shouting, so he asked, "Who are you?" ”

He Bo said in a loud voice, "I am Hebo." Are you Dayu? ”

When Hou Yi heard that it was Hebo, he immediately became angry, sneered, and said, "I am Dayu." As he spoke, he opened his bow and arrow, and without asking about the indiscriminate, he "swished" an arrow and shot Hebo in the left eye. Hebo pulled out an arrow to cover his eyes, sweating in pain. scolded in his heart: "Bastard Dayu, so unreasonable!" The more he thought about it, the more angry he became, so he tore up the water picture.

At this moment, a shout suddenly came: "Hebo! Don't tear the picture. He Bo couldn't help but look with his right eye, and a man wearing a hat on the other side stopped Hou Yi. This person is Dayu, he knows that Hebo has drawn a map of the Yellow River, and he is about to ask Hebo for advice. Hou Yi pushed Dayu away, and wanted to take an arrow and open a bow. Dayu dragged him to death and told him about the hardships of Hebo's drawing, and Hou Yi regretted that he was reckless and shot Hebo's left eye.

Hou Yi crossed the river with Dayu.

Hou Yi confessed his mistake to Hebo. Hebo knew that Hou Yi was the son of Hou Laohan, and he didn't blame him much. Dayu said to Hebo: "I am Dayu, and I came to you to ask for advice on how to govern the Yellow River." ”

He Bo said: "My hard work and the method of controlling the river are all on this map, so I will give it to you now." ”

Dayu exhibition map to see, the map is densely packed, circles dotted, the Yellow River up and down, left and right, the water situation is clearly drawn. Dayu was very happy. He wanted to thank Hebo, as soon as he looked up, Hebo had long since disappeared when he jumped into the Yellow River.

Dayu got the water map of the Yellow River, day and night, according to the instructions on the map, and finally governed the Yellow River.

After listening to it, I was even more confused, and hurriedly asked my uncle: "I have also heard the story of this Hebo dedication, but does this have anything to do with the turtle shell in your hand?" ”

Uncle Shi smiled and replied, "You are ...... in a hurry."

Uncle Shi went on to say that in the illusory land between the two worlds of yin and yang that the four of us had visited, he had seen such a record on the stone tablet on a certain mound.

According to the records on the stele, after the success of Dayu's water control, he naturally became a hero in the world, when he died, he recorded the secret of the Yellow River Botu, as well as the mountain axe, the water sword buried in the Yellow River together, Yu was worried that after his death, the Yellow River was wild again, so he secretly carved the location of his burial place on the shell of a turtle.

Later generations called this turtle shell "Dayu tomb turtle shell map".
