Chapter 270: The First Village
Fu Xi can be regarded as a great god in ancient times, and legend has it that he and Nuwa were brother and sister, both with human heads and snake bodies, but later married and had children. It is the ancestor of divination that Fu Xi invented and created "Bagua" for the first time according to the changes of all things in heaven and earth, and created writing, ending the era of "knotted rope records".
There are many myths and legends about Fuxi, but the most surprising thing for me is about his age, which is said to have died after 111 years in power, when people generally lived a short lifespan, more than 100 years old, which can be described as astronomical.
There is such a record in the pre-Qin classics about the origin of Fuxi: According to legend, in ancient times, there was a girl named "Huaxu's" in Huaxu country, who went to a place called Lei Ze to play, and occasionally saw a huge footprint, so she stepped on it curiously, so she became pregnant, and after 12 years of pregnancy, she gave birth to a son, who had a human head and a snake body, so she named it Fuxi.
In fact, the legends about Fuxi vary in the land of China, in addition to the general recognition that he founded Bagua, there are also the following contributions:
Fuxi taught the people of the Yellow River valley to make nets and fish, and at the same time domesticate wild animals, which is the origin of domestic animals.
Fuxi changed the marriage customs, advocated the marriage customs and etiquette of a man marrying a woman, changed "blood marriage" to "extra-clan marriage", and ended the primitive group marriage state in which children only recognized their mothers and did not know their fathers for a long time.
In the Central Plains civilization, it is generally believed that Cangjie created the written language, but in the areas of Ningxia, Qinghai and Gansu, the people believe that the writing was created by Fuxi.
In addition, he also made many musical instruments, such as Tao Xun, Qin Se and so on.
In the end, he married and had four sons, and named all things.
Although the legends about Fuxi vary from place to place, to this day, he is recognized as the earliest creator god in the entire Chinese civilization.
The legend of the pre-Qin creator god first came from the Changsha Chu Silk Book, which was unearthed in 1942 from an ancient tomb in Wangjiazu Mountain in the eastern suburbs of Changsha.
According to the silk book, when the world was not yet formed and the world was in a state of chaos, there were two gods, Fuxi and the empress, who married and gave birth to four sons.
These four sons became the four gods who represented the four times. The four gods opened up the earth and formulated the calendar, so that the stars rose and fell in an orderly manner, and the mountains were unimpeded.
All in all, when it comes to Fuxi and Nuwa, they are the ancestors of mankind.
After seeing the statue of Fuxi, I wondered very much, although it is on the edge of the Yellow River, but Ningxia and Shandong are far away, in ancient times this was a barbarian land, but Fuxi is the god of the Central Plains civilization, how can he appear here?
Getting closer, we saw some corn kernels drying on the stone floor in front of the statue.
"Little brother, do you think this idol is very strange?"
The chief steward seemed to notice the change in my expression and asked.
"Eyya, do you know who this idol is?"
The chief steward shook his head slightly and said: "I heard my mother say that this is an ancient god, when we first discovered this land, the stone statue already existed, and it was almost wrapped in moss at that time, and it was cleaned up by my mother - not our god, and naturally no one worships ......"
Walking in front of the statue of Fuxi, a sense of majesty instantly emerged, it was an indescribable feeling, as if this stone statue was exuding a breathtaking power.
Xiaoqing, Xiaobi, and even Lina didn't seem to have this feeling, and when they saw that the stone statue looked so peculiar, they had already rushed over and looked around.
"Little brother - it seems to have characters engraved on it!"
Bibi poked her head out of the statue's tail and shouted at me.
Character? I hurried over.
Sure enough, on the other side of the stone statue, I saw hundreds of vaguely recognizable symbols, and although I couldn't understand the meaning of these characters, I recognized at a glance that they were the kind of mysterious ancient characters that had been discovered many times before.
Uncle Shi once said that this kind of writing began with the Dongyi people, that is, the people where Chiyou belongs.
At that time, I was convinced of Uncle Shi's analysis, but after seeing the text symbols on this stone statue, I was a little suspicious, the Dongyi tribe was in today's Hebei and Shandong, but Ningxia at that time belonged to the Huaxia tribe (the combined name of the emperor and the Yandi tribe), how could the Dongyi script appear on the territory of the Huaxia tribe?
Naturally, I couldn't understand the text.
When the chief steward saw the grain drying on the floor, a smile flashed on his face, walked to my side, and whispered: "Little brother, there is a bumper harvest here this year, and our "rent" will be a lot more. “
As she spoke, she picked up the horn around her neck, took a deep breath, and blew.
"Woo woo woo - woo woo"
The voice is high-pitched and profound.
A minute later, a similar trumpet sound was remembered in the distance.
"They've received the signal, let's go!" The chief steward pointed ahead.
Vaguely recognizable, on the overgrown slanted waves, there is an almost deserted stone road, which looks a little old.
After walking along the stone path for five or six minutes, when I followed the chief steward to the top of a slope, a strange building appeared in front of me.
At first glance, this is an ancient building, and then look closely, on the ruined ancient building, someone has built a new building, from a distance, the combination of the old and the new is not perfect, giving people a sense of nondescriptry.
"Aiya, this is the village you are talking about?"
I asked, pointing to the complex in front of me.
The chief steward nodded and replied, "This is the first village. ”
I asked, "Doesn't this village have a name?" ”
"We called it 'The First Village,' and that's the name of the village."
"Could it be that this was an ancient ruined city?"
The chief steward nodded and said, "It's an ancient city, and when I found it, I thought it could be used, so I repaired it on the original basis." ”
As he spoke, he walked a few hundred meters forward. Suddenly, I heard a "da-da-da" sound coming from the city, and then I saw more than a dozen people coming out of it, both men and women, and what surprised me the most was their looks.
A few of the dozen or so men looked about the same as us, but more had yellow hair, extremely white skin, blue eyes, and noticeably tall noses, and two had brown skin and relatively flat features.
Who are these people! It looked so weird, I secretly wondered in my heart.
After seeing the chief steward, this group of people quickly knelt down and looked very respectful.
"Get up! Let me introduce you to the new master. As he spoke, the chief steward bent down and made a gesture of invitation to me.
I understood, straightened my back, and took a few steps forward.
"This is our new master—everyone say hello to the new master!"
As he spoke, the chief steward bent down and took a few steps back, and then knelt on the ground, and Xiaoqing and Xiaobi also knelt on the ground.
Could it be some kind of ritual of the Miao people? I wondered to myself, and on the surface I was still pretending to be very calm.
The dozen or so who came out to greet us knelt down very respectfully, their hands spread flat on the ground, palms facing up, and their mouths shouted in unison: "Master! ”
I was not used to being called this and was about to say something, when suddenly an old man closest to me knelt at my feet and kissed the thumb of my left foot very respectfully.
Immediately after the second one, a middle-aged woman with white skin like snow, leaned over......
At this time, I reacted and understood what was going on - just like when all the Jade Girls kissed my feet during the autumn Tibetan moon event that night, my grandmother also said that this is an ancient custom of the Northern Miao people.
I was embarrassed about it that night, and if you were kissed on your toes, would you feel natural? Today, I still feel more awkward, mainly because I have been running all the way, in addition to a lot of sweat on my body, my feet are also full of stains.
I turned my head to look at the steward, her forehead pressed against the ground, and she looked very respectful and convinced.
it! This is probably some kind of sacred faith! I thought to myself, and I pretended to be calm.
The dozen or so men knelt at my feet in an orderly manner and attached themselves to my feet very respectfully......
When everyone was done, I was sweating all over.
Afterwards, I specially asked the chief steward what the meaning of this "foot kissing" ritual was.
The chief steward explained that, to put it bluntly, this is actually an oath activity, which is equivalent to the ancient Han people swearing with three fingers to the sky. We often see such and such episodes on TV where someone kneels on the ground, stretches out his right hand, circles his thumb and little finger, and shouts: I swear to God, if ...... May it be thundered by the sky.
The so-called five thunders come from the Buddhist language, but it is widely spread among the people because of this poisonous oath.
Miao people do not believe in Buddhism, so naturally they will not say any poisonous oath of "five thunders to the top", they have a similar activity to the poisonous oath, that is, the "foot kissing" ceremony just now.
When they kissed my feet, they swore to heaven that they would be loyal to me all their lives and be willing to be slaves.
The poisonous oath of the Han people is more of a symbolic meaning, how many flowers and young people have deceived unknown girls by relying on the trick of making poisonous oaths? And then how many of them were really hit by the five thunders? But this kind of "poisonous oath" of the Northern Miao people will definitely work, because once you break it, you will suffer the most vicious Gu punishment of the Miao people.
The five thunders are God's final say, but Gu punishment is people's final say, in this regard, people will win the sky!
After the ceremony was completed, the dozens of people slowly stood up and gathered around me very cautiously.
It was then that I could see more clearly that these people, especially the white-skinned ones with high nose bridges, didn't seem to be the same "breed" as us.
Subdivided, my Han and Miao just belong to different ethnic groups, but in terms of appearance, there is not a big difference, but the few in front of us are different, whether it is skin color or facial features, there is a big gap with us.
Among the dozen or so people, there was a girl in the prime of cardamom, with pale yellow hair, round and large blue eyes, and a high nose with a pointed and thin nose.
This girl is so beautiful!
Suddenly, I thought of a documentary about Xinjiang, and the girls on it were not as good as the ones in front of me - could they be from Xinjiang?
