Chapter VII: Warnings

In the face of an uninvited guest who suddenly appeared in his office and was dressed in sci-fi armor, Nick Fury's calmness was really admirable. He looked at the cold and burly steel body in front of him, and asked in a calm tone, "You realize that this is not the kind of playground that you can enter if you want to, do you?" How did you get in? ”

"Don't worry, Director Fury. Your edifice has no security holes – at least not technically. Armored Michael said, conjuring a transparent circle in his hand, "I was able to come in because I have some special skills. ”

"Mind sharing it?"

Michael flipped his palm, and the circle disintegrated in his hand, turning into sparks and dissipating.

"Not today." He said, "I brought something else to the table...... Some of the things that are important to Aegis may even touch on the underlying message. ”

Fury's face was expressionless: "I'm listening." ”

"You're a smart man, Director Fury. I'm sure you've been in the position of S.H.I.E.L.D. for so long, and it's impossible for you not to find the slightest hint of it. "Have you ever noticed that there's a shadow in the deepest part of the organization that you should know everything about, and that even you can't reach out?" Have you noticed that sometimes even you can't fully control the behemoth of Aegis? ”

Fury crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair: "What's your point?" ”

"S.H.I.E.L.D. may not be an organization you're completely familiar with. At its core and in the darkest part of it lies an evil secret, and when it comes to light, the whole world will change because of it. ”

Michael paused at this point.

"Of course, I didn't expect you to believe my words like that."

Fury shrugged, "If you take off your mask first, and then don't talk to me in this weird voice, it might help me believe this." ”

Michael stretched out his right hand, and the glove part of the armor that wrapped around his palm opened from it, and a USB stick poked out of it and landed on the table.

"You're suspicious, it's wise and necessary." "So I'm not going to say anything more right now, because that doesn't make sense." But you can take a look at this first. Here's a copy of the Aegis facility I attacked earlier - of course, I think you already know I attacked it. This information was originally encrypted in a sophisticated way, but luckily I happened to be very familiar with this encryption method. So you're welcome, I've decoded it for you. ”

"You took the information from my facility, and you think I'm going to need your help decoding it?" Fury asked.

"You'll understand when you've seen it." Michael said calmly, "Besides, to be precise, it's not actually your facility, but it just looks like it belongs to Aegis on the surface." Of course, the sheer amount of information in this can be a bit overwhelming, and you can go to someone to verify it. And when you're convinced that what I'm saying is true...... At that point, I think you'll be more interested in continuing our conversation for the rest of the conversation. ”

"So you mean," Fury glanced at the USB stick that was thrown on the table, "you're going to leave a contact line so I can call you when I'm done checking the contents?" ”

"No, Director Fury. I'll see you again then. Michael said lightly as he retreated back into the shadows, "Now according to the emergency protocols of the Triqu Wing Building, I estimate that the reinforcements you are waiting for should be in this room within five seconds." So if there's anything else, we'll save it until next time. ”

The fluorescence in the V-shaped eyepiece went out again, and the black armor quickly disappeared into the shadows. The office lights returned to normal after two seconds, and the door was slammed open from the outside five seconds later. Deputy Director Maria Hill burst into the room with a gun, followed by several elite agents.

But the room was empty except for Director Fury.

"Sir?" Ciel frowned, "I don't understand. What about the intruders? ”

Fury was silent. His gaze moved to the USB flash drive left on the table, intentionally or unintentionally, and his face, which had been unwavering, gradually darkened.

Osben, Laboratory.

Norman Osborne sat topless in a chair with metal equipment attached to his back. His arms and wrists were attached to the armrests by black devices attached to the seat, and countless intricate lines filled his shoulders and chest.

The laboratory was completely isolated, and the staff in dust suits were busy with the intricate instruments around him. A group of researchers in white lab coats are facing several monitors outside a thick layer of glass, each of which accurately displays their boss's current physiological data.

Once all preparations were made, all staff were evacuated from the isolation room. On the outside of the glass, a doctor wearing dark green round lenses said loudly through a megaphone, "All preparations are done, Mr. Osborne!" You can start at any time. ”

Dr. Otto Octavius, Oss' most senior technician, was also the person in charge of the experiment.

"Everything has been double-checked?" Norman asked.

"Yes, all the data." "We went through every step of the way, and nothing went wrong. ”

"Good." Norman Osborne paused, then took a deep breath, "Then let's get started." ”

The call was aborted, the laboratory was sealed, and visible green gas was poured into the room through several vents at once. All the instruments began to run at high speed, and electricity rushed through the chair like a snake into Norman's body. The device holding his arms in place was activated at the same time, and the specially treated agent was injected into his veins through a vein, rapidly flowing through his limbs with the circulation of the blood system.

Intense pain struck violently, like thousands of sharp needles stirring every nerve fiber, and like all the internal organs experiencing burning. Norman Osborne let out a scream as if he didn't belong to him, and his consciousness became blurred in a matter of tenths of a second. In a trance, he seemed to hear someone shouting his name, and he felt his body hot, then cold, and then unconscious. He felt a buzzing in his ears, like a swarm of bees circling around it.

In the end, before his remaining consciousness was completely blank...... He heard maniacal laughter.
