Chapter 361: The Road to Hell
Michael is a recluse, spending 80 percent of his waking hours on experiments and computers, and spending most of the rest on other necessary tasks. He has always kept communication with people to a minimum, and he never communicates with people other than necessary.
All of Michael's contacts with others so far have been made in the course of the necessary work. There are always a lot of important things to do, so he always feels that there is no extra time left for "meaningless" things. In his past life, and in this life, he was a genius with a series of dazzling halos in the eyes of anyone who knew him, and they always felt that he was the legendary "perfect" person.
However, the truth is that there is no such thing as a perfect person. If you think someone fits the bill, it's either that you don't really know them, or that they're a dangerous person who is extremely good at hiding themselves.
Michael is more of the former. He didn't want to hide anything about himself, but the aura on him was so dazzling that it even covered himself.
And Wanda is perhaps the only exception so far. In the past few months, Michael has taken a lot of time out of his tight schedule to accompany her to dinner, relax, and go shopping...... In the past, these were all meaningless activities that he saw as taking up precious time.
He agreed to Wanda by accident, and he didn't even understand why.
Probably...... Maybe she deserves to be so special.
"Actually, not anymore." Wanda said, "Although everyone didn't say it, everyone liked you." β
"Because they don't understand. The real me is actually very boring. β
"Nope." Wanda smiled and said, "I think you're fine." Rather......" she grinned, "...... I think it makes you more real. β
After a day of training, Michael finally mastered the manipulation of chaos magic. The magic he could unleash was slightly more powerful than it had been at the beginning, and he had a more precise control of it - it wasn't a problem to raise a cup. (It's just that it's still difficult to juggle in the air)
"Wow, you're really good, you can practice to this point in one day." Wanda praised.
Michael lowered his hands, the magic faded, and the floating mug fell back onto the table.
He shook his head: "It's still far from it. β
"Don't worry, you're already fast." Wanda smiled and pulled his arm, "Well, why don't you go to my house at night?" My stupid brother is still waiting for me to go back and cook. Don't look at me like this, I'm still a little confident in my cooking. Come along? β
"Okay, that's going to bother."
***
A month passed in a flash, and several people spent every day in intense training preparations. On the fifteenth of the following month, before dawn, Michael took Wanda to Doom's castle. Doom had prepared a secret room in the basement of his castle, and when they arrived, they found that the other two had already been waiting there earlier.
Michael glanced at Doom: "Ready?" β
"One hundred percent." Doom said, hesitating, his deep voice softening slightly, "You know, you don't have to ...... It had to be done. We can think of another way......"
Michael waved his hand and interrupted him, "I won't regret it if I agreed." Mephisto's offer is very rare, and we don't necessarily have a better chance. After a pause, he said lightly, "And I have no intention of leaving my soul in hell." We're going to win this battle. β
Doom closed his eyes and stopped talking.
The procedure had already been prepared, Doctor Strange's hands were sealed, and the circular decoration on the floor where several people were standing suddenly lit up with fluorescent. The paths of light formed a huge and complex magic array, and the light gradually switched to a bright red color, like a flame without temperature burning around everyone's body.
"If someone wants to quit, it's the last chance." Doctor Strange glanced over everyone, "Again, what we're going to do is head to Hell and face Mephisto himselfβin the Helllord's own domain. It's a dangerous thing that borders on madness, and I'm not even sure if anyone has ever done this kind of death in the past......"
"It's a waste of time to repeat the obvious." Doom said coldly, "Or are you starting to get scared, Strange?" β
"Only a fool is fearless, Doom. But we have now made all the preparations that a mortal can do, and now more preparations will only become delays. But before I go, I have to stress to all of you," said Doctor Strange, "don't act rashly, and don't mistake caution for cowardice!" β
He stretched his arms upward, and the entire circle seemed to burn to a critical point. A boundless gravitational pull came from below, as if to drag everyone's soul into the abyss.
Wanda subconsciously squeezed Michael's left hand and glanced at him as if seeking comfort. Michael's face was expressionless, staring at the approaching flames at his feet, silently waiting for it to devour his body.
Everything around them began to dissolve and melt in everyone's field of vision, and colored streamers began to appear in the flames. Reality begins to fade away, and some puzzling, larger-than-reality visions begin to flash through the vision of several people. Doctor Strange stretched out his arms, and the holy white ball of light enveloped all four of them like a transparent bubble. They fell all the way in the boundless stream of colored light, and after a seemingly endless fall, a strange red light finally tore through the silent darkness.
They arrived in hell.
The Seraph's orb of light protected them all. They flew past a sea of hellfire, through blood-red plains, and finally swooped down on a small dirt slope.
"No force can stop the Seraph's brilliance," Doctor Strange raised his hand to lift the orb of light that surrounded them, "even if it's a vengeance from Hell!" β
"That's great, we need your momentum, doctor." Doom's eyes narrowed, his palms opened, and a dark green magic fire lit up in his hands, "Because I'm starting to smell the stench of hell." β
Something is coming.
A pair of eyes lit up in the dark red space, and the deformed creatures appeared one after another. As if attracted by the breath of the living, the demons born in hell approached one after another, as far as the eye could see, like a blood-red wave.
"Uh...... Doctor? Wanda whispered, "Maybe you should consider landing somewhere deserted?" β
"No, you can't. The underworld is unpredictable. Doctor Strange said calmly, "It's not strange where it lands. β
Michael raised his hand. The circle opened, and pieces of armor flew out piece by piece. Within half a meter, the Divine Domain armor had already armed him all over.
"Then let's fight our way."
