The water in the town is gentle, and there is a small dock for boats, where the merchant cargo fleets that come and go from south to north in the Xiangjiang River often dock to rest, making the town a lively and prosperous place.

Four or five miles southwest of the town, there is a stone cow view, which was originally the largest temple in the local scale. Legend has it that during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a big black fish several zhang long in the Xiangjiang River, and every time it rode the wind and rain to go ashore and take away the livestock and children of the people along the river for food, Wangjiang Town had a large population, and suffered the most from the disaster.

At this moment, a wandering Taoist priest came to Wangjiang Town, and after hearing about this, he claimed that there was a way to get rid of the black fish essence. The Taoist priest led the villagers in the town to carve more than a dozen stone oxen and stone sheep with stones by a dry well outside the town, which were the same size as real cattle and real sheep.

On another stormy day, the black fish spirit really came ashore to the town to forage for food, and the Taoist priest chanted a mantra, and those stone oxen and stone sheep by the dry well turned into living creatures, chirping non-stop. Attracted by the sound of animals, the black fish spirit came to the place where the cattle and sheep gathered outside the town, opened its bloody mouth in mid-air, and sucked the cattle and sheep into its belly. When the Taoist priest saw that the black fish essence was in the plan, he immediately withdrew the spell, and the cattle and sheep were suddenly turned into stones in the belly of the evil fish.

More than ten stone cattle and stone sheep were far heavier than the same number of real cattle and real sheep, and the black fish essence was unbearable, paralyzed on the ground and unable to move, and the wind and rain also dissipated.

The Taoist priest then led the villagers to the place where the black fish essence was trapped by the dry well, and covered the fish essence with fire oil and firewood and burned it, and the fire burned for three days and three nights, and the fishy smell could be smelled several miles away. By the time the fire was extinguished and the smoke had dispersed, the bones of the black fish essence had already turned into ashes, and only the stone sheep and stone ox that had been swallowed in the abdomen were left in the ashes. After the great harm was eliminated, the villagers were about to thank the Taoist priest, but who knew that the Taoist priest had already drifted away and disappeared.

Later, the people of the town raised funds to build this Taoist temple by the dry well of the stone cow and stone sheep, called the stone cow and stone sheep, in order to remember the kindness of the Yunyou Taoist people who used the stone ox and stone sheep to remove the black fish essence. Every four o'clock and eight festivals, the villagers have to come to the temple to pray for incense, and their wishes are very effective. So the reputation of this stone cow view gradually spread, and it became the most prosperous temple of incense in ten miles and eight towns.

Until more than 30 years ago, the area of Changsha and Yueyang was so flooded that the flood water almost overflowed the river embankment, and the situation was critical. Some people say that the stone cow can stop the water in the town, so the villagers pushed all the stone ox and stone sheep left in the stone cow view into the river to fill the town river.

Later, the flood really receded, but after the stone cow and the stone sheep were gone, the people's prayers were no longer as they wished, and the incense gradually declined.

Probably a few years ago, there was a foreigner in the town, who told fortunes and divination in the market during the day, and settled down in this dilapidated Qingquan Temple at night. This man was about fifty or sixty years old, short and thin, and no one remembered what the name of the road was, but because his left foot was slightly disabled, and he walked with a limp, and whenever others laughed at him, he laughed at himself because the road was uneven.

Over time, the villagers laughed at him and called him an "unfair man". This old man can speak well with a mouth, coupled with his witty and humorous nature, he is very liked by the villagers, and no one treats him as a foreigner.

After Lao Dao stayed in Shiniuguan, he tidied up and repaired several houses in the backyard where the people who originally lived in the temple incense fire road, but he was also comfortable and comfortable. It's just that this Taoist temple is far away from the market town, there is no one around, the old Taoist lives alone, and there is no one to talk to, so it is inevitable that it will be cold and lonely.

Until some time ago, after a storm, a young man surnamed Feng in the town came to Shiniuguan, saying that his family's broken grass house was destroyed by the wind and rain, and he had nowhere to live, and he wanted to have a companion with Lao Dao in this temple. Lao Dao is happy to have someone to be his companion, and since then, the old and the young have lived together in the view.

Speaking of this young man surnamed Feng, his big name is Feng Xueyi, because he was greedy to play when he was a child, he hurt his forehead, leaving a round shallow scar, and his playmate nicknamed him "Feng Sanyan". Feng Sanyan's father Feng Daniu once made a horse for a generation of famous ministers Zuo Zongtang Zuo Governor, and later Zuo Governor died of illness in Fuzhou, Luo Dayong also took off his armor to escort Zuo Governor's coffin back to his hometown.

After returning to his hometown, Feng Daniu used the military salary and silver he had accumulated for many years to buy a field and a house, married a wife and had children, and lived a prosperous life. Until Feng Sanyan was fourteen or fifteen years old, Feng Daniu contracted a serious illness, and in order to treat the disease, his family spent all his savings, and finally he could only sell his property, but unfortunately he still failed to exchange Feng Daniu's life, and he really ended up with no personal wealth.

Feng Sanyan's mother also died of depression soon after being hit by this, leaving only one and a half years old Feng Sanyan to live alone. Since then, Feng Sanyan has relied on fishing and catching shrimp or doing odd jobs for others to make a living, although the life is hard, fortunately, the people in the town are kind, and the villagers have a lot of help, Feng Sanyan has finally grown up.

In the evening of that day, Feng Sanyan paid for odd jobs, and the host gave another piece of bacon as a reward. Feng Sanyan was happy, so he went to the liquor store to sell a pound of liquor, returned to the Taoist temple and fried a large plate of bacon with wild fern peppers, and ate a big meal of liquor with the old Dao.

The old Taoist is a Taoist of the Zhengyi Sect, and he does not avoid meat and fish, and eats until his mouth is full of oil. Feng Sanyan picked up the wine bowl and said to the uneven old man: "Master Dao, you finally cleaned up this broken temple, I will come over and partner with your old light, I respect you for this bowl of wine!"

The uneven old man also picked up the wine bowl and touched it with Feng Sanyan, raised his neck and took a big sip, and said with a smile: "Little brother of the Feng family, don't be polite to me." I live in this broken temple alone, and there is no one to talk to on weekdays, and it is more lively to be accompanied by multiple people. ”

The old man and the young man were drinking red and hot, chatting with great interest, when they suddenly heard what seemed to be a voice in the front yard hall. The stone cow view has been abandoned for a long time, and no one cares about it, where does the voice come from? The two put down their bowls and got up together and went to the front yard to inspect.
