However, during an expedition to Kitayama, tragedy struck. Apex The twin siblings come across a hunting party from the Bouvier family, who are hunting down a giant tootheater. This predator is bloodthirsty, with rough skin and thick meat, sharp horns, and a violent temper. The noble hunters failed to kill the beast in one fell swoop, and now the wounded furious beast fought back, strangled several noble children. Quinn and Caleb immediately came to the rescue. Although their rain of arrows succeeded in striking the Tootheater in the head and driving it away, Caleb was killed by the Tootheater in order to protect the Matriarch of Bouville. The nobles and their entourage thanked Quinn affectionately for helping her bury her brother, and at the same time took the deceased of their own family and set off home to mourn.
Caleb's death nearly destroyed Quinn. Their dream has always been to fight side by side, and without the twin brothers, Quinn's hopes of becoming a knight are meaningless. She still fulfilled her duty to her homeland, like any daughter of Demacia, but her heart was broken. The fun that once energized her was now as bleak as the last rays of summer sunshine. Without her brother's company, her ability to fight in the field deteriorated, and even began to make mistakes. Although not fatal, she often misses her tracks, misses her target, and even begins to become gloomy and silent.
Quinn would periodically return to the site where she had fought the tooth-eater, and standing at Caleb's grave, she would never let go of her memories of the loss of her loved ones. On Caleb's first anniversary, she came here again to visit the grave. Immersed in grief and bitterness, Quinn didn't hear the tooth-eating beast slowly approaching. Between its two blade horns was the top of a broken arrow, a testament to the fight between Quinn and Caleb.
The monster began to charge at her, and Quinn fought back in despair in front of the furious beast. She shot a dozen arrows, but none of them hit the vital point. Exhausted from the hard fighting, she stumbled on her feet, and the beast rushed to her in an instant. She rolled over, but not fast enough, and the tip of the horn made a cut in her body, slicing from her thigh to her shoulder. Quinn was mortally wounded, and watched feebly as the beast paced around her, ready for the final culling.
Quinn looked into the beast's eyes and knew he was going to die. She grabbed the last arrow in her quiver. Suddenly, a dark blue shadow pierced the sky. A beautiful blue-winged bird of prey descended from the sky, its claws grabbing the beast's face. It is a blue rock falcon, and it is said that the wings in the Demacian emblem are derived from this bird of prey, and it is thought that they have been extinct for a long time. The eagle screamed, swooping again and again, claws and beaks chiseling pieces of flesh from the head of the tooth-eater, despite the fact that its body and wings were sliced by the horns of the beast.
Quinn rested and contemplated, facing the rushing furious beast, bending his bow and arrows one last time. The cluster of arrows came out of the string, and the bowstring broke in response. But her aim was good, and the arrow got into the beast's mouth and pierced its brain. The heavy body of the tootheater continued to slide in Quinn's direction, plowing a deep furrow in the soft earth, and it died. Quinn let out a long sigh of relief. She climbed next to the giant eagle, his wings broken, but his eyes revealed a deep attachment.
She simply bandaged the wounds on the eagle's wings and returned to Irwindale, taking the Tootheater's horns with her as a trophy. The wounded giant eagle perched quietly on her shoulder along the way, not leaving an inch. She named the giant eagle Hualuo, which means courage. Under her careful care, Warlock soon recovered. The bond between them once again injects heat into Quinn's heart, and she begins to yearn for a career as a horse in Demacia's army again. With his father's help, Quinn used the horns of the tootheater to create a new weapon, a Seiko repeat-fire crossbow that could fire multiple bolts with a single pull of the trigger.
With the blessing of their parents, Quinn and Warlow traveled to the capital and petitioned the instructors of the Demacian army to join the Rangers. According to the process, to join this disciplined unit, you first have to go through several years of training. Although Quinn had no training in this area, she could easily pass any of the subjects set for her by the Rangers.
Even so, the instructor could not imagine how such an independent hunter and a different falcon could fit into their imflexible command system, and therefore intended to reject her petition. But before they could issue a final ruling, Madame Le Starabouville, the nobleman who had given his life to save Caleb, intervened and vouched for Quinn's courage and ability in his own name.
Quinn was immediately drafted into the army and became a ranger. Although she proved her combat ability with practical actions, the rigid hierarchical structure of the army and some (in her eyes) cumbersome and redundant rules and regulations kept her from the essentials. Her comrades in arms recognized her combat skills, but they always regarded her as an uncertain factor, because she was an outlier in the Demacian army, unwilling to stick to the rules, set her own mission plan, and always went her own way. She never lingered too long within the city walls, always preferring to live in the wilderness, and always opposed the company of her comrades. She had nihilated the threat of the kingdom in the bud and wiped out her long-hidden enemies, and because of these remarkable achievements, she had unheard of freedom in the army of Demacia.
On one occasion, a Noxian Assassin assassinated the commander of the castle of Jeandeler during the Lightfall Festival. Once again, Quinn has proven his talent. Although the Assassin evaded several teams of knights, Quinn and Warlot managed to kill the Assassin after a night of pursuit, dodging deadly traps, parrying multiple counterattacks and ambushes. She returned to the Château de Gendel with the Assassin's dagger, earning her the title of Wings of Demacia. Quinn barely waited until he was done receiving the commendation, and then immediately set off and left the city with Warlot back into the wild. Only on the outside can they live comfortably.
Later, Quinn's footprint in Demacia traveled far and wide. She ventured north to explore Freljord and into the heart of the Noxian Empire. Each time, she and Warlo would return with important information to prevent the safety and security of the Demacian frontier. While she behaved in a way that was incompatible with the strict discipline of the Demacian army, no one could say anything about Quinn and Warlow's outstanding performance in field duty.
