326, Captain's Diary 5
Church's Diary VIII
We continue our voyage north.
The location of the underwater ruins is east-north, 150°W longitude and 30°N latitude of Maria Theresa Reef. It's a strange coordinate, and if it were to be connected to the center of the earth in a straight line, passing out from the opposite side of the earth, it would be exactly where the pyramids on the banks of the Nile were located.
Could it be that the ancient Egyptians really knew that the earth was round 4,000 years ago and sailed to the southern islands? Perhaps the Maori are the descendants of the ancient Egyptians, and at that time the sea was still a continent, and they were very similar anyway, and they probably belonged to the same race.
If that were the case, it would make sense, the ancient Egyptians had traveled thousands of miles to the other side of the globe to build pyramids among the islands of the Australs, and then they settled down and became the inhabitants of the South Pacific. The divided islands and the harsh environment of the sea have severely hampered the development of civilization, and thousands of years later, they no longer remember who their ancestors were, and the grandiose works built by their ancestors sank to the bottom of the sea.
There is a lot of controversy about the ancient Egyptian race, perhaps because it is the oldest civilization, and everyone wants to be related to them, but no one can convince anyone. It is said that the archaeological evidence of ancient Egypt is concentrated in the hands of Europeans and Arabs, but when it comes to ethnicity, they become secretive.
Speaking of this, Mrs. Larry angrily scolded a bunch of cowards who don't want to face reality!
She said that the Egyptians were neither Caucasian, nor Arab, nor black. If it were white, the Germans and Frenchmen who had the evidence would have made it public; If it were Arabs, the Egyptian government would not have kept it a secret, and even mandated that genetic experiments on pharaohs must be carried out under the control of the Egyptian government. Why not? Because of economic interests and political needs. If the whole world knew that the ancient Egyptian civilization had nothing to do with the bullshit they advertised, they wouldn't have made a fortune!
I asked her what kind of race the ancient Egyptians were. Mrs. Larry said nothing, saying only that the unsubstantiated speculation was not in line with scientific principles.
That's when Anderson interjected again. He said, it's the yellow race, you can see if you look at the murals. The nobles of ancient Egypt had yellow or reddish skin, and both blacks and whites were slaves. Looking at their facial features and those hieroglyphs, even if they are not the ancestors of the yellow race now, they must be relatives of the Chinese. Those experts went to do genetic identification, they didn't test the pharaohs, they only got some civilian things, of course, there were masters, and there were slaves, so the ancient Egyptians became four dislikes. You ask them what happened to the genes extracted from the mummies? Hey, they won't tell you! They will say that mummies are difficult to extract genes from, and that hundreds of experiments in the past have failed. Oh my God, broken bones dug up from the ground can be detected, but well-preserved mummies can't, deceitful! I just don't want the whole world to know that their ancestors were slaves of the yellow race, haha!
After laughing, he took the fishing rod to the stern of the boat again, regardless of the reaction of others.
Anderson impresses me every time. I wonder if he could be the all-knowing, omnipotent hermit that many stories say. Sometimes I really want to ask him where he learned so much strange knowledge, did the fish tell him?
His words made the white-skinned people sound uncomfortable, and most of the ship was Caucasian, including Anderson himself.
Mrs. Larry did not comment on Anderson's words, but it was clear that she was not very averse to such a view, otherwise she would have scolded on the spot with her temper.
Robbins said that if our scientific expedition is successful, it is likely to subvert people's inherent understanding of ancient Egypt, the pyramids and human civilization, and even affect the development trend of modern science.
People have forgotten about the unpleasantness caused by the disappearance of Ghost Island, after all, the main task of this expedition is the underwater ruins, and Ghost Island is only an incidental project. As for its disappearance, it's not the first time in history anyway, so let's treat it as another mysterious event, waiting for future generations to discover the secret.
Now, everyone is looking forward to tomorrow. In a dozen hours, when the sun rises over the eastern horizon, we will reach our destination.

Church's Diary IX
Last night's voyage went very well, and before it was fully dawn, we reached our intended target, and the GPS positioning system showed that we were around 30°S and 150°W.
The gray sky and the sea are the same color, like a dark egg. Whenever I sail in the night, I think, are we really at sea? Isn't it wandering in some void in the vast universe?
I knew that in a little while, the sun would peek out like a mischievous child from the distant horizon. Sailors on ocean-going ships see this scene dozens or even hundreds of times a year, but we still love to see it. Because the brilliance of that moment can make us feel that we are still in the world, and let us know that we are bathed in the same world as our families.
Just as I was hesitating to wake up the others to watch the sunrise together, I heard Anderson's loud singing:
Somehere beyond the sea
somehere aiting for me
my lover stands on golden sands
then atches the ships that go sailing
……
Although I admit that this guy sings well and is very appropriate, I must tell him that singing at this time will disturb everyone's dreams. I was just about to say something to stop him when I heard messy footsteps and chattering.
Everyone got up, but no one blamed Anderson, everyone was so excited about approaching their destination. The first thing they did when they got up was not to enjoy the red sun on the sea, but to rush into the captain's room and ask me if I was sure of the place.
I say yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are here, but I suggest that you go back and put on a few more clothes and then watch the sunrise well, the weather is nice today, and you will see a memorable moment.
However, the good expectations were disappointed, and suddenly a fog rose on the sea, so thick that nothing could be seen.
God didn't seem willing to put the best in front of us, so I had to let everyone go to breakfast first. The sunrise is definitely not visible, I just hope that the clouds will open as soon as possible, and the foggy weather can easily affect people's mood.
Moreover, even though we arrived at the designated location, a coordinate on the map was still a large area in the vast Pacific Ocean. The scientists who discovered the ruins last time marked the surface of the sea with buoys, but the fog made it difficult for us to move an inch, and we couldn't find it until the fog cleared.
But until the afternoon, the fog did not dissipate, but showed signs of getting thicker. Except for Anderson, who was smitten fishing in the fog, everyone else had a loss and uneasiness written on their faces, and everyone thought it was not a good sign.
