417. Catch savages
The howling of the wildlings came and went, but the gunfire stopped. Aoki didn't know what was going on, so he hurriedly asked the coal boss to fly over first to take a look:
"You go to Petru and tell him not to fight, try to break up the wildlings, and I'm going to catch one or two alive."
He remembered what Tafi had seen in his dream, and confessed, "Be careful yourself, and if you see an old man with a scepter-like thing with a hook in his hand, don't come near me, and come back to me at once!" ”
After the crow flew away, Aoki followed the direction of the wild man's howling, crossed the stream from which he came, climbed up a relatively high hillside, and took out his binoculars to observe it.
In the dense forest on the opposite side, the figures of some savages can be faintly seen shuttling, and they shout twice when they walk for a while, this shouting is long and short, late and urgent, and it is conveying different messages.
He didn't see Petru in the binoculars, and thought that he was probably hiding, so he didn't hurry, only a small group of savages in the distance, waiting for the opportunity.
It wasn't long before the crow flew back and circled high, the dense woods blocking its view. When Aoki saw that it was looking for him, he whistled.
The crow fell and said that Petru was hiding in the high ground behind the valley. Aoki followed the crow's prompts and walked through the woods to find Petru through the binoculars. This guy chose a well-viewed and hidden location, covered with branches and long grass, and if it wasn't for the crow telling Aoki that he was there, even if he had a telescope, Aoki wouldn't have been able to spot him.
"How did you find him?" Aoki was curious.
The crow said proudly, "With his little disguise, he can still escape my eyes!" ”
Aoki said, "Okay, don't brag, you're in the sky, there are so many trees, he just doesn't pretend, and you can't see it if he doesn't move." ”
The crow said, "Quack, what is that, I saw it soundly, it was climbing on the tree, the highest one." ”
Aoki lifted his binoculars and saw a stout and tall tree behind Petru's hideout, with red leaves, much like a maple tree in autumn, but its trunk was also red, and it was a lone one, as if it had been painted.
Sure enough, he squatted on the branches at the top of the big tree.
"What is she doing in the trees?" Aoki asked.
"Maybe it's to help Petru control the wind, stand tall and see far." Raven said
Aoki always felt that this was not the case, but he couldn't think of anything else other than this reason.
He said to the raven, "Petru must have seen me, you fly over and tell him to snipe a few of the little savages I am following, and leave me two alive." ”
The raven said, "But as soon as he shoots and is exposed, the other savages will surround him." ”
Aoki said, "That's what I want, so that it's easier for me to arrest people." ”
"Is he in danger then? I just saw that there were wild people all over there! Raven exaggerated.
"All over the mountains? That's an exaggeration! This island can't support much of a tribe. Petru carries a lot of things with him, he is familiar with jungle warfare, and he can easily take out a group of wild men by placing a few infantry mines at random. The only thing to watch out for is the traps and the wildlings' plots, their weapons are poisonous, and you have to warn him. ”
"Oh, I don't care if that Redbeard lives or dies, I'm worried about the sound, stupid fat cat."
"It should be fine." Aoki picked up the binoculars and glanced at the tree over there, "Don't worry about me after you explain it, just stay there, and when Petru gets rid of the wildlings, you will take them back to our cave." ”
"Will the wild men all chase them to the cave?"
"No, Petru will definitely be suspicious and get rid of their pursuit, if he doesn't have this ability, he won't be Redbeard!"
The crow flew away.
Aoki was still careful to pamper the six or seven savages in front of him, and it didn't take long for Petru to be notified by the crow to shoot.
Shots rang out, and one of the wildlings fell to the ground. The other wildlings reacted quickly, and all of them lay down and hid in hiding places. But they apparently knew nothing about modern warfare and firearms, did not judge the location of snipers, and the hiding places were not all sniper corners, at least two of them were in Petru's field of vision.
The sound of gunfire caused a large number of wild men to howl, and wild men from all directions were closing in the direction of Petru. Aoki knew that if Petru couldn't get out quickly, it would be a lot of trouble once he was surrounded. He will hide in disguise, as will the savages who are familiar with the environment, as long as he hides in the route he may escape and gives him a blow needle, and the battle is over.
Petru quickly fired a second shot, but this time he didn't kill the wildling, only the man's knee. The wounded savage fell to the ground, screaming in pain. A wild man came to check on his injuries and was killed by a single shot from Petru. Another wild man came up and tried to drag the wounded man behind the bushes, but only took two steps and was also killed.
In an instant, three people were killed and one was injured, and the other savages didn't dare to move, hiding in an unseen place and shouting signals into the distance. Although Aoki didn't understand, he knew that they were alerting their companions and reporting Petru's location.
He didn't know if there would be other savages coming to help, but he thought that the savages had suffered losses, and he knew that the gunmen were lying in ambush on the high ground opposite the valley, so they should not be stupid enough to come and die. There are still three savages left, and they must be done as soon as possible so that Petru can retreat.
Aoki crept around behind one of the wildlings who was farther away from the other two, and pounced on him from the side. He certainly had a chance to kill the other with one blow, but he wasn't in a hurry to do so, in case the other two were killed by Petru, there would be no live mouth to catch. So he just threw the other man to the ground, pressed the person with his body, grabbed one of the wild man's arms with one hand and twisted it behind his back, grabbed the wild man's head with the other hand, and pressed it on the dirt next to him, so that his mouth was full of fallen leaves and dirt, and he couldn't scream loudly.
He didn't worry about the other two wildlings, because they were far away, and if they rushed over, Petru would have enough time to snipe them down. And only one of them had a bow and arrows in his hand. The position where Aoki fell to the ground was calculated, and if the wild man wanted to shoot an arrow, he would have to lean out from behind the tree where he was hiding, and then he would be sniped by Petrus.
Even if Petru didn't kill him, Aoki wasn't afraid. He had already drawn his pistol, and if Petru hadn't shot before the savage had fired his bow, he would have killed the savage with his pistol, and the only downside to that would have been to lure other savages here, and it would have been too difficult for him to capture one alive.
Sure enough, the wild man had just leaned out and was about to shoot him with his bow and arrow, but before the bowstring could be pulled open, Petru was killed by a single shot. The other savage, who had only a spear in his hand, was far away, and did not dare to rush out when he saw that his companions were already dead.
The wild man below him struggled so hard that Aoki slammed the butt of his pistol on the back of his head, knocking him unconscious, and then slowly stood up.
The savage over there held a spear with a fierce look on his face, and the spear in his hand was stabbing and probing, and roaring with each stab, as if he had met a lion in the wild, and wanted to scare the lion away with this superficial ferocity. However, his legs were shaking.
Aoki understands that wild people will be scared too!
