One of the most famous is the legendary commander Michael McNeil's car, the Kodiak. At the same time, the cost of building and maintaining the OCVs was prohibitive, so after TW2, GDI chose not to continue the development of large ships, mothballing all OCVs and concentrating on the smaller Oka helicopters and Fire Hawks.

As soon as the smoke cleared, the need for air supremacy emerged, and the GDI could not stand up to a heavily armed aerial enemy. With the start of construction of the Thai Mine Control Network, the GDI Council was able to free up enough resources to develop new aircraft that could compete with or even better compete with enemies of Scrin's class. After six years of on-and-off development, GDI finally unveiled in 2068 a new cornerstone of their First Fleet, the Kodiak-class battlecruiser, which pays homage to McNeill's ride in name and appearance, but is very different in function other than retaining orbital flight capabilities. Unlike its predecessor as a command ship, the new Kodiak-class was designed as a battleship, with three turrets for a total of nine 24-inch cannons, similar to those of early 20th-century battleships. In addition, Kodiak was able to repel other aircraft with a set of Vulcan cannons. The Kodiak-class first appeared in combat in 2069, when the USS Michael McNeil destroyed a laser obelisk on the periphery of an important separatist base in Africa, allowing GDI ground forces to take the area with minimal casualties. Since joining the army, Kodiak has had great success, driving fear into the hearts of the splinters and intimidating those who dare to harm the GDI-NOD Alliance.

Battlefield elaboration ed

Armed with nine 24-inch cannons, Kodiak is capable of destroying all enemies on the ground, firing each gun in turns, and the shells are accelerated by gravity, creating huge craters at the bombardment site. These turrets mounted underneath the Kodiak can rotate quickly to fire at any target, but cannot attack other aircraft, and the turret at the front is not capable of rotating 360 degrees, so the Kodiak usually needs to cover its rear.

Top cannon

The Kodiak is equipped with three twin Vulcan cannons, and although it is not theoretically an air supremacy, the Kodiak can also defend itself against patrol aircraft and light fighters, but due to the turret mounted on top, these cannons cannot be used against ground targets. Combined with its armor and other weapons, Kodiak boasts a well-equipped arsenal capable of taking on almost any enemy.

Defensive maneuver

Recently, the Kodiaks have upgraded their energy transfer circuits and "Lightning" armor to improve survivability against laser weapons. As the name suggests, the Lightning Armor boosts defenses based on the current that is turned on, the driver can activate the power transfer circuit to the armor from the primary weapon, some of which will also go to the engine to increase the speed of the Kodiak, and the drivers are specially trained to maximize the efficiency of the increased speed and armor.
