This nuclear power plant construction plan, with an overall investment of more than US$3 billion, will also give the Bangladeshi government an extremely considerable amount of paper assets, after all, they will occupy 20 percent of the shares, although this part of the shares does not involve changes in management, but the Bangladeshi government can use this part of the shares for financing or other mortgages. Because this is one of its rare high-quality national assets.
More importantly, with these powers, the Bangladeshi government can greatly alleviate the domestic power shortage and reduce its dependence on electricity from India.
