Stimulated by this successful case, the Bangladeshi government has signed contracts with Dongfang New Energy to expand a 300M Lotus reactor nuclear power plant in situ, as well as to build another 600M nuclear power plant elsewhere.

Compared with the BOT method, the Bangladeshi government can get real money faster in addition to tax revenues, of course, because the construction cost of the Duke Lotus reactor is as high as $3,500 per kilowatt, so that the paper profit of this nuclear power plant will not be as high as the early budget of Dongfang New Energy.

This nuclear power plant construction plan, with an overall investment of more than US$3 billion, will also give the Bangladeshi government an extremely considerable amount of paper assets, after all, they will occupy 20 percent of the shares, although this part of the shares does not involve changes in management, but the Bangladeshi government can use this part of the shares for financing or other mortgages. Because this is one of its rare high-quality national assets.

More importantly, with these powers, the Bangladeshi government can greatly alleviate the domestic power shortage and reduce its dependence on electricity from India.

There is no shortage of smart people with flexible brains in this world, and the people who hit this idea in the Bangladesh power department obviously fancy the fact that there is not much contact between Dongfang New Energy and the Indian side, and they want to eat the difference in price and taxes in the middle.
