The five non-Sariputta, Subodhi, Mokkaya, Mu Jianlian, and Anari could not win when they joined forces. ”

"Mahakajayan, can distinguish deep meanings, perfunctory Taoism, so it is called 'the first on righteousness'. I am afraid that before me, I have already suffered. What Devadatta desires is to destroy the Mahayana, and our ten disciples are all shravakayana and karma, and Devadatta cultists want to shake our Zen minds and turn us into his minions. ”

"And all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of Lingshan are Mahayana disciples, and the Bodhisattva Hammer is the outer path in the eyes of Devadatta, so they will never accept it, and they must all be killed. The disciple of the Three Vehicles, Devadatta, led the Buddha of the Bizhi Buddha to rebel against the Buddha, and fought for the Arhats of the Shravaka and the Enlightenment Vehicle, and wanted to destroy the Bodhisattva Vehicle, the Mahayana. ”

A day later, Sariputta arrived from the city with Moggallan and Subodhi, and when they saw the broken golden body of Fulou, they all showed anger and sorrow, and Sariputta stepped forward to ask the golden body of Fulou and the golden body of Kajayan that he brought with him to put them together, and said to all the disciples who came to the world with the Venerable One: "Devadatta has betrayed the Buddha, and both Fuluna and Kajayan have been harmed by him, and have entered the cycle of annihilation. ”

The disciples all showed grief, folded their hands, and were silent, and the atmosphere was very depressing for a while.

Seeing that the disciples were concerned, Sariputta stood in the first place and said solemnly: "Two days ago, Ananda came to me and told me that Devadatta had violated the decree of the World-Honored One, entered the meditation heaven, went to find the place where the World-Honored One confronted Brahman, and immediately betrayed the Buddha!" ”

Moggallan said: "Devadatta has slandered the Buddha several times, questioning the mantra of the World-Honored One, and the World-Honored One has twice issued a decree to denigrate him, and it is not surprising that he has made such a great rebellion. We should invite a few bodhisattvas on the spiritual mountain to come and punish this demon together, and they will be reduced to hell and suffer immeasurable calamities. ”

Sariputta, however, did not act in such a vain manner, but pondered, "Devadatta has descended into the world as a cousin of the World-Honored One, and besides, he has always been in a revered position, and among the bhikshus and nuns, there are many people who are confused by him, and there are many Buddhas and arhats in the spiritual mountains, and many of them are shaken in their minds. Nowadays, settling people's hearts is the first priority, otherwise if more Buddhas follow him into the devil, it will be a great disaster for our Lingshan Buddhism! ”

Mu Qianlian said: "Dare to ask Senior Brother, how to calm people's hearts?" ”

Sariputta pondered for a long time before he spoke: "Devadatta thousands of eons ago, it was the ancient Buddha who lit the lamp, for the first time of the world-honored Buddha's teachings, and passed down the Buddha, that is, the leader of the ancient Buddha's vehicle. ”

"Now in the spiritual mountain, all the ancient Buddhas are in seclusion, but if Devadatta raises the flag, presumably in addition to his 500 followers, there will be many people who will be shaken, so Devadatta cannot be the ancient Buddha who burns the lamp, and the Buddha who burns the lamp has already gone into extinction. Mokoga leaves! ”

Mokogaye came out and said, "Senior brother is here!" ”

Sariputta ordered him: "You go to Lingshan to find the relics left behind by the ancient Buddha when the world-honored person ordered the lamp to be burned in the past, this is the old position of Devadatta, which can restrain him." ”

Sariputta also said: "Devadatta has entered the demons, but he is limited to the Buddha's vehicle, the arhat position, and does not see the Mahayana, and uses the Hinayana Dharma to question the Mahayana Dharma, knowing that the Mahayana follows the Hinayana Buddha, such as the ox cart and the house of fire. With the Hinayana seal, doubting the Mahayana Bodhisattva path is like a dervishes doubting a boat, taking a boat and doubting the bridge, and being self-righteous. ”

"But the arhats who practice Hinayana today still have doubts about the Dharma, so they can't say that."

After pondering for a long time, Sariputta ordered Yubo to leave and say, "Venerable Upali, go and tell your disciples that Devadatta committed the five sins of rebellion and murdered the World-Honored One, and died because of it. He ordered 500 disciples to throw stones to kill the Buddha, but to no avail. He also threw a boulder on the Jaymari Mountain, and although it was blocked by the god Jinpira, the fragments wounded the Buddha's feet and bleed. ”

"And when the Buddha entered the king's house, he let loose the madness and harmed him, but when he met the Buddha, he surrendered, and nothing could be done. After the reprimand, the Lord continued to have evil thoughts, and beat the lotus bhikshuni to death, and put poison in the ten fingers and claws, trying to hurt the Buddha by worshipping the Buddha's feet, but the Buddha's feet were as strong as rocks, and Deva broke his fingers instead, and died on the ground. ”

Upali was shocked and said, "Devadatta is dying, so how do you explain the evil demons of the outer realms?" ”

Sariputta sneered: "That outer path demon is the king of Jinnara in the eight protectors of Lingshan, after Jinnara cultivated into a bodhisattva, he did not listen to my advice and went to see Brahman, because he saw the outer path of Brahman and fell into the devil, claiming to be heavenless. In this way, the influence of Devadatta can be eliminated, so that he cannot deceive the Buddha. ”

Yubo left the order, but Moggallan said: "But that demon is rampant, don't indulge, and ask my senior brother to invite all the Bodhisattvas of Lingshan with me to subdue this demon." ”

Sariputta said: "Although Devadatta is a great calamity, but the Brahma Brahma is the demon of the world who forced the world-honored one to settle down, and the immeasurable heavenly deity who came from the west is not a good kind, and Devadatta is not a confidant compared to those two demons. If we only pay attention to him, the other two demons will take the opportunity to cause chaos, and there will be even more unforeseen dangers! ”

Mu Qianlian said: "What does Senior Brother think? ”

Sariputta said, "Attack your own shield with the spear of the other." Mu Ganlian, you go to see the Jade Emperor, say that there is a demon Jinnaro in the west to lead his troops to make trouble, and ask him to send the Qitian Demon Emperor to come to subdue the demon and subdue the demon! ”
