The girl shook her head. "I can't hear anything. ”
Lucian's brow furrowed, his eyes sharp. "He's still taunting me......"
He turned and left the tavern, cursed and destined to follow that distant, abusive voice.
"Lock the door," he said in a commanding tone. "Then pray for the dawn. ”
"Only the people you love can break your heart. ”
~Fallen Angels
Torn between her twin natures of the heavenly realm and the mortal world, Morgana bound her wings and embraced humanity, inflicting her pain and resentment on those who were dishonest and depraved. She confronts all laws and traditions that she sees as unjust, and throws shields of protection and chains of smolderfire from the shadows of Demacia to fight those who seek to suppress the truth. Above all, Morgana is convinced that even exiled and abandoned people can one day be reborn.
Whether it was fate or the current situation, Morgana and her sister were born in troubled times. The catastrophic rune war swept through most of Valoran and Shurima, even reaching the lofty mountains of the Giant God Peak. Morgana's parents, Mihira and Ziram, knew that the legendary mountain would grant magical powers, and they had no choice but to embark on this long and perilous journey to save their tribe.
Even if the two knew that Mihira was pregnant at the time, there was no way back. Finally, where the Runeterrae meets the stars, Ziram is both surprised and terrified to see Mihira chosen as the embodiment of the Righteous Star Spirit.
Not only did the couple bring back the means of salvation they craved, but they also brought back twin daughters, Morgana and Kyle. However, the celestial powers that occupy Mihira gradually begin to overshadow her personality and emotions as mortals. She would often push her daughters to her father, and then leave her family behind to answer the call to fight.
For a long time, Ziram had been feeling a great sense of unease. The war is still raging on countless fronts, and his beloved wife is drifting away. Fearing for his daughters' safety, he fled from the Titan Peak with Mihira one day when they left again.
Although their destination did not have a name at the time, it would later become known as a place of refuge from magic and persecution: the Kingdom of Demacia.
Since then, the two sisters have become increasingly different. Kyle delves into the settlement's maturing legal system, while the dark-haired Morgana is anxious about the city's distrust of the new residents. She was well aware of the pain of being an outcast, so she wandered the wilderness, talking to stubborn mages and other Vault Dwellers deemed dangerous. At home, she felt her father's heartbreak from turning his back on Mihira, and gradually resented her mother for causing this pain.
Morgana fears that she and Kyle will inherit some of the power of the Star Spirit, and her fears are fulfilled. On that day, a giant sword surrounded by dark shadows and sparks fell from the sky, stabbing into the ground and splitting in two, its wings erupting from the shoulder blades of the two sisters. Their father watched with tears in his eyes as they each picked up half of their swords. Morgana tried to comfort him, but he turned his face away.
Kyle responds to his new call with all his heart. She summoned the Inquisition to enforce the law, but Morgana hated her talent...... Until the night the robbers came. Eventually, Ziram was surrounded. At that moment, it was Morgana who rushed to his side to protect him and burned the robber to ashes. Together, the sisters saved countless lives and were worshipped as the winged protectors of Demacia.
But Kyle's ideal goals become more and more extreme, and Morgana finds herself always defending those who have the heart to atone for their sins. The sisters and their followers barely agreed, but the peace did not last long. Kyle's most ardent protégé, Rhonas, decides to arrest Morgana. Morgana, in order to protect her confessed followers, imprisoned Rhonas in the Dark Flames until he fell to the ground and died in the Smolder.
The city is set on fire by the flames that Kyle vows to bring justice to Rhonas's killers, and Morgana flies into the air to confront her sister.
They slashed at each other, striking arcs with dazzling light and bursting darkness that rippled into the houses below. Just as it seemed that the outcome was about to be decided, Morgana flinched, and she heard her father's voice in pain. Ziram lay in the rubble, badly injured. Morgana wails in grief and throws half of her mother's sword at Kyle, before rushing to the ground like a meteorite.
She held up her father like a baby, cursing the destructive power she had inherited. Kyle also fell, dumbfounded. Morgana asks her if the punishment for the wicked also includes Ziram, and if he is guilty of stealing his daughter from his mother. Kyle didn't answer, just flew into the sky and didn't look back.
Morgana's wings became a painful imprint that she could not escape. She tried to cut off her wings, but couldn't find a weapon that was hard enough. So she bound her wings in chains and resolved to walk on her feet.
Over the centuries, her story has become a legend, and Morgana's name has been completely forgotten. To this day, the people of Demacia still revere the "Winged Protector", but only the glory and truth of one of the sisters are remembered. Morgana's grief and belief in personal atonement became the legend of the "Masked One".
Even after all this happened, she did not give up on those who asked for her help. Resentful of being betrayed, she waited in the shadows of the kingdom for her time, knowing in the dark that Kyle's light would one day return to the Lands of Runeterra, and that all things would face her judgment.
As the power of magic rises again, Morgana sees that a new dawn has dawned.
Lin's big toe kicked the tree root and tripped and nearly lost his balance and fell. A few paces ahead, Peria turned around.
"Do you need my old bone to slow down and wait for you?" she said with a smile.
"No, I don't. He said, staring at his feet. The old aunt Peria had snow-white hair and was too old to straighten her waist, but she was still a few inches taller than Lin. He wished he could be as tall as his bad brother, and that he had better be a lot taller than both of them.
Lin had never been to such a deep woods. The pines are closer together, and the midday sun can only leave a few spots of light between the shadows of the trees.
